    It wouldn't have happened if military trucks from Iran hadn’t covertly been allowed through Egypt to park on their land, providing cover for the enemy who fired over 3,000 missiles into Israel. People need to understand this fact: the missiles were launched because they had protection. Don’t support terrorism-end of.

      Isra_l has been responsible for 80% of all missiles exchanged between the 2, not over decades mind you (Israel's share would be higher then) but over the last 12 months. No one should support terrorism, so why do you?

    • @plebius
      @plebius Месяц назад +1

      A declaration by either side, is my understanding legally. However, Israel has done that already when it updated its war aims. So I really don't understand the title of this video. It's been obvious since they moved troops north and built field hospitals. That the war had started on the Lebanese border.

    It is not in America’s national security interest to get entangled in Israel’s war in Lebanon, nor in a broader conflict against Iran. Netanyahu is refusing a negotiated cease fire agreement endorsed by the U.S., the EU, the UK and other regional countries and accepted by Hamas. The end to the Gaza war will end the fighting with Hezbollah as well. Netanyahu is intent on pursuing his goals militarily rather than through negotiation. Part of his calculus is his desire to remain in power and avoid jail, much like Trump. The U.S. this time should limit its role in shooting down missiles directed toward Israel but provide the weapons and intelligence Israel needs to do so itself. The U.S. needs to end this situation of the tail wagging the dog. Netanyahu must bear the responsibility for his refusal to accept a negotiated ceasefire which can then lead to a longer term solution. Here in the U.S., no one elected or would elect Netanyahu to make our nation’s decisions on whether to go to war. So if Netanyahu and his right wing Israeli government want their wider war, let their country fight it alone. They will likely find out that summarily dismissing U.S. and European legitimate concerns is not a wise long-term strategy for a country of 9.6 million people.

      I might agree with you, but with AIPAC spending over a 100 million on elections and most of the government already in their pockets .. there's slim chance of a change in policy. Consequently there's more American servicemen and women, in the region, now than there's been in years.

    • @existentialvoid

      You’re wrong - it is very much in US national security interest.
      You are proposing the Afgan solution.

    • @johntucker5994
      @johntucker5994 Месяц назад +1

      @@existentialvoid No, it isn't. It is a distraction. Israel needs new leadership that is committed to real peace. Real peace cannot be achieved without responsibly dealing with the Palestinian problem. That will never happen with Netanyahu in power; and it is up to the Israeli people to replace him. If they don't, then they shouldn't look to the U.S. to become militarily involved.
      A wider Middle East war, which Israel is risking by its actions, is not in the U.S. national interest because it would distract and detract from U.S. efforts to deter and/or defeat China and Russia.
      Israel has only 9.4 million people! The U.S. historically has stood up for Israel and continues to do so. But there must be limits consistent with the United States' overriding and separate national security interests.
      Your reference to Afghanistan doesn't make any sense. Israel is not the United States; and at times what Israel may consider in its national interest is not identical to the United States' national interest. A wider Middle East war is a case in point.
