+1 for taking all the effort to fix the oil pump leak. Great stuff!

Yeah, definitely a bit of a project, but figured I might as well just dive in and fix it. Thanks for the comment!

Nice work! You must have a later 2.5L to have the "automatic" timing belt adjuster. Mine is the early motor that didn't have the timing belt guide rail. Replaced the belts a couple months ago to discover it appeared to have the original water pump! I may have the balance shaft too tight, as it has a whine when cold. However, most of the timing belt videos on RUclips seem to have the same whine. Can't wait to see the next installment!

Thanks, I appreciate it! That’s interesting about your pump. I’m not sure what the deal was with mine. Every picture I’ve seen makes it look like a factory stock pump, but it had definitely been resealed/messed with. Makes me wonder if someone bought a used factory pump off ebay or something cause the casting looks just like a factory pump.
I wondered about my balance shaft belt too. Mine is a little quieter now after I finished doing the belts, (will get there when I finish the video) but it still has the same sound or “wine” it did before. I did the same thing - watched videos and realized they all seem to have that wine that must be normal. It’d be interesting to hear one that you know is specifically to tight and compare it. I’m starting to think it’s basically the same sound, it just gets louder if it’s too tight.
Glad you’re looking forward to more video’s - thanks for the comment!

I bought the same engine support bar and faced the same problems lol - once addressed it's pretty solid. I was reluctant to purchase that, a brake power bleeder, and smoke test machine, but they turned out to be pretty valuable tools - ended up using them a number of times afterwards.

That’s funny/interesting about the bar - hopefully they stop selling them like that. I felt the same way, was like “great, I’m going to use it once and then where the heck am I going to put it”. Ended up not getting a smoke machine, then my uncle asked me about one at Christmas. Break bleeder too, I never bought one but then every so often when I do something with breaks I kinda wish I had one. Thanks for the comment!

Wow you’ve been busy. I’m just changing timing belts and front seals now but you make me feel like a slacker! Way to get it done and yes all this needs to be done on these cars. When do we get to drive this thing??

:) that's funny - Yeah, been busy on this thing. That's a good question - been planning to get some driving footage for quite a while. Sounds like a plan...thanks for the comment!

@@rybreadification Well tools and parts only go so far, but I can tell you have some serious mechanical skills and that's what's needed to get these cars up and running. I appreciate your videos makes me feel like I'm not alone working on these cars. It's a ton of work, but driving them can be a lot of fun too.

Thanks Shrokahasi, I appreciate that. Yeah, it’s definitely a little different then just working on a small block chevy or something common like that, huh. I guess feeling a little “alone” at times just sort of comes with the territory. But hey - I guess that makes us/these cars special right;). I was hoping people would see that even though I might not use “the best parts” or have “the best tools”, I still try to do the best job I can - so it’s nice to know you appreciate the videos and the work/time involved too.

You're doing a fantastic job! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?

@@rybreadificationthat’s the best answer to this person. I’ve seen it being asked on different channels, probably by the same person. Sounds like some sort of scam 🙄
