She’s like one of those rare humans that you come across every 100 people or so that are extremely sensitive and rare and trusting that once they’ve been hurt they become more guarded the way she comes across now . I’m positive those who know her see a different side

Selena suffers from so many health issues, she's literally a warrior. She has always been a humble, and gracious soul. Great reading on her! It's just a thin layer of what a true talent and genuine soul she is.

I met her several years ago and she was super sweet. I think her "vibe" has gotten more serious over the years with everything she's been through. I also feel like she has changed the way she speaks because of this. I've noticed how Britney Spears has also changed the way she speaks.

Her personal struggles, amidst her medical problems ,plus being a celebrity whose life has been in scrutiny by many people , made her who she is. You got to really admire her for how strong she is.
She is incredibly real, honest and different from other women in the celebrity world. Perhaps her confused amused, down to earth nature and being so real with what she has been through shines through. Love her so much!!!!

there's a certain "heaviness" with Selena. It's hard for me to put in words but, best I can describe it: a pessimism -
but with underlying hope. Idk if that makes any sense or not. I do know she's been through a lot (both mentally & physicall) so maybe it's just that. I hope she's okay though...not just okay but, truly happy. She does 100% appear to have a good & authentic heart.💛
That's an interesting observation. I sensed more of a heaviness/pessimism with Taylor Swift, but I can see why people may think that with Selena.
She has systemic lupus erythematosis, with kidney transplant, plus most probably steroid meds , plus being a celebrity whose life is always under the scrutiny of many people, its tough, who wouldnt be pessimistic , but you really got to hand it to her, despite of all these,she is able to deliver , and thats what i admire about her.

So I don't really know much about her " body of work". I can name maybe......3 songs of her that i know. I've never bought any of her albums. Never seen an episode of wizards of waverly place. I don't follow her on socials. But i have seen a handful of her interviews. I'm like you, i really like what i see. It's easy for a "fan" to love their favorite celebrity. When i watch a Selena Gomez interview i see a genuine, beautiful, good hearted person. She is such a gem.

In the first interview she wasn’t in a good place emotionally, so that explains why she was more serious and mellow and kinda self deprecating and with a sarcastic humor. Although she is like that normally, but in the first interview you could feel that she was a little too much and her mood wasn’t good because of everything she was going through in her personal life. I’m glad she’s in a good place right now though 💜

I think you got Selena pretty well. I only discovered her recently because she is doing Only Murders in the Building with Steve Martin and Marty Short and surprisingly I find her very articulate, natural, sincere and self deprecating almost. Her voice is a low voice which makes people listen to what she has to say. Her communication style projects maturity and intelligence.

I just want to add that when she discovered that she has Lupus, she started to get this mellow humor that you talked about, maybe she used to be more “sugarcoating” before and now it’s just more honest with herself. So glad you were able to see her exactly as she is: REAL. She doesn’t put on a show, she doesn’t exaggerate or boast, she doesn’t get melodramatic. She’s just this quiet, respectful, thoughtful, genuine person who actually is interested in conversation and not “all about me” interviews. She’s been through so much and hasn’t tried to hide it or downplay it. She doesn’t play like everything is ok. She talks about her struggles with her mental health, her Lupus, everything. And she doesn’t bad mouth other celebs. She’s gracious, elegant and sincere. That’s why she has such a massively dedicated fan base - because she’s real in every aspect of her life with her fans.
