When she mentioned how she grew up with her fan base i nearly started sobbing. I remember being a teenager going to see her in concert when she was "Selena Gomez and The Scene" and how young we both were. So proud of everything she has done for not only me but all the other amazing people that have been apart of her growth as well.
I can confidently say that she saved my life. I got diagnosed with it an autoimmune disease as well, and it was so isolating for me, after seeing her in her documentary go through the exact same treatment, and she said words that I had said before, I felt heard and understood, and it gave me the strength to keep going. I love this woman so much
I feel the same way. I've never quite gotten into her music and shows, but as someone with autoimmune diseases as well, I like following her career and seeing how far she's come and how much she is achieving despite her health struggles. It's a lot of work and it truly is isolating, and while I'd of course wish she didn't have to struggle like that, it's really nice to see this representation. When she said "I think it depends on where I am health-wise", I felt so seen.
You saved me. I also have lupus and interstitial cystitis which is attacking my bladder and kidneys but the bigger threat was my depression. You inspired me to seek help for my depression and make lifestyle changes and I am currently in remission. Thank you Selena…

It’s easy to relate to hear. It’s difficult having to work this hard when you’re unwell. When you have pain, migraines, fatigue, bipolar and a slew of other symptoms. It’s not easy. You can see her sweetness but also her pain. And it is definitely one of those days for me where it doesn’t feel possible to physically get through today. I’m glad she’s been able to keep her identity and self worth throughout it all.
I was never really a fan but wow she’s done so much with her platform to help people. I am really proud of her and always rooting for her happiness, such an inspiration 😢

There is something so humbling about her, its not fake at all. There is a wholesomeness to Selena that makes her so relatable. She isn't trying to suck up to anyone or gain sympathy. The part where she says get off social media. To be honest I reeallllly felt that. Because that is the very first thing you do....everything feels meaningless when you are broken and low and down...social media is the last thing on your min you just want out. Thank you for uploading this. She isn't perfect but there is something relatable to her.
This is exactly how I feel! Just cause she is being raw and not putting on some facade like most celebrities do, doesn't mean she has no personality, or is emotionless as some of these comments say. Furthermore, it is very clear that so many people in these comments have zero concept of how an autoimmune disease impacts someone. I have a lesser one, psoriasis, but my best friend has lupus and it's truly something you have to be around/experience to understand it. The fatigue. The medications. The inability to function 'normal' sometimes. 😩 Lupus doesn't care that you're a celebrity who is expected to be 'on' all the time. Let's let her be human! Let her be raw and honest! Let her be calm and humble and caring! Let her be a zombie if she wants to! The world needs more understanding, love, and support.

I have a gynecological condition called Endo that have given me my fair share of pain and exhaustion. It took quite a lot to pull myself up on days I felt so pulled down. Undergoing a surgery whether minor or major is no easy feat. Its exhausting and draining and brings you down mentally as well. People nowadays are completely oblivious to reality and what is going on, they get so sucked in to the whole social media phase they cannot see past that or take the actual time to relish the moments and live in those moments.
