He does not need a five year deal just a one season extension before he moves up stairs. The idea that there are better managers out there than Rangnick is just laughable.
What we current have is market of good coaches that are at well funded clubs and people act as if they are geniuses that built the club from the ground.
Klopp bought a £75 million defender four years ago and spent about £100 million on the front line. He is a good coach but people are acting like there are load of them out there and Pochettino is nothing like Klopp and is the most overrated manager in world football right now.

At Borussia Dortmund last season we appointed interim manager Edin Terzic. A few weeks into his appointment, BVB announced that Marco Rose from Moenchengladbach would take over from next season. Edin Terzic then rescued Dortmunds season, winning the cup, making the 1/4 finals of the UCL and making up a 12 point gap to make the champions league places. He also built a great relationship with the players and fans. Now with Rose this season, Dortmund are nowhere near that level of last season. Going for the former plan A isn’t always good.

Just admit it you probably wanted Moyes out so you campaigned and you probably did that to every manager since then.
They are never good enough for you and the moment you get your man in you probably pretend you never wanted them in.
Ole built a team because he arrived there was no backline, midfield or attacking line. The only positives Utd had when Ole took over was that Pogba and Rashford were at the club.

I'm skeptical about this moving upstairs role, he is either a DoF or a manager, but I can't think on any circumstance in this country where a manager has done that and its gone well.
I'm a Blackburn fan and Kenny decided he didn't want to be manager anymore, they put Kenny upstairs and Ray Hartford got the job and it just didn't work. Players don't know who to look too, fans don't know who's in charge, even for the manager they are basically coming in underneath the person they're replacing.

And what then if Ten Hag cannot turn it around overnight. Do you want another manager in. Utd have to start investing into development that has a great view than one season.
We now have a coach that builds teams and coaching systems and he needs time. What could he possibly achieve in 6 months?
People are acting as if Klopp or Pep or Tuchel could turn that team around in half a season. And here is a thing Tuchel still may end up getting fired at Chelsea.
