It’s seems to be a common fault. After 10-12 years. The handbrake loose the lubricant inside the actual box. It’s a easy fix. Taking it apart and then greasing the internals. There are few other videos to show how to release it. Hope this helps👍 best regards sam

Over time the electronic break mechanism looses, lubricant & sneeze! Open it. Check device in the break box. Hope this help’s
