Your reaction was priceless! It's my understanding that Marcelito Pomoy taught himself this song by listening to and mimicking a recording. His performance is gorgeous considering that he requires a translator to carry on a conversation in English even though he understands it well but has trouble speaking it. He speaks the Philipino broken english, but being self taught is also singing in English, Italian and Chinese. Possible more by now. He grew up on the streets from age 7, and now is married and a father! His ambition serves him well in whatever he does!

One of those videos was filmed on Marcelito's return to the Philippines where he sang with two other singers. Actually this "doble cara" or solo duet is very common in the philippines, and it's very old practice here in the philippines it started around 1980's and theres even a competition in tv shows for this, but his is much more seamless and accurate when it comes to female voice

He was also invited by the Royal Family of Spain as their guest singer. He was invited to join the America's Got Talent the Champion. From there, you can watch all his performances. Filipinos can easily adjust to any language, cause we were ruled by Spain for 350 yrs. & also by the Americans. Spanish language before is a requirement in school, but now our language is Piliipino (Tagalog) & the second language is English. He has the ability to switch his voice both soprano and tenor consistently throughout the entire duration of the song ,which makes him a very unique artist.The smoothness and the flawlessness of his voice is just incredible.. Mostly teenagers join the contest because young boys are able to hit high notes before hitting puberty. However, though the talent is common, there's only few who can master and perform it clearly and smoothly as Marcelito does.

There's a lot more of talented Filipino singers who haven't yet discovered. Don't be shock because it's like, all Filipino has their voice (lol maybe 95%) and it's not unique. It's normal for a Filipino people to have this kind of wonderful talent. Why not? Even at 1 AM there's still some of the neighbourhood singing their ass off like they have a million dollar concert. Who saw Philippines got talent and wanted to join because his soul purpose was to find and reunite with his long last family.
