I think you mean "machinations" which is spelled similarly but with a very different meaning. 😄 (Crafty schemes; plots; intrigues) What you said means something like "using a machine to perform a function" or "converting a task to using machines instead of people." 😀
I really like the Jess stories. Here is a like and comment for the story, for entertaining me, to help your channel grow, and get you the recognition you deserve.
There are more with this protagonist but it's very few stories in total for this setting. The author deleted their account but the stories are still up. /r/HFY/wiki/authors/Kasern/
To those hopping for more. I am sorry this author has deleted their account, or they were deleted. May her actions serve as an example should we meet the wrong kind of aliens.
Well even if Jess didn't survive, the ship got back to Earth and was reversed engineered. And MANY more agents would be sent out to discover the truth while a self-defense armada was being built. Somehow, I think the brown excrement is about to hit the rotary, air pushing device.
I bet that she wound up surviving. Coughing up blood and being weak doesnt stop someone--a human--from figuring out a way to survive. She probably fixed the life support in the bridge after firing a shot into all the unconscious officers, giving her the oxygen she needed. After that its a matter of bandaging with pressure and hoping at least one lung doesnt fill with blood (coughing up blood implies a lung puncture). Not ideal, but if the emancipated former slaves can get to the bridge to perform stabilization measures she'll be fine.... Optimism of course
Holy crap the galactic economics and money game was such an inspired story element. Imagine a space organisation going around giving out FTL, then saying, "that'll be the equivalent of 200 years servitude thanks. We also take slaves."
The moment I realized this was a continuation of an earlier story I thoroughly enjoyed I was happy we were going to get the follow up. Well written and well read.

Was that the one where a Xeno captain is describing how his Human crewmember saved the ship, but lied about escaping with them/joining them and was left behind in the middle of a fight? That was a good story, so was this.
But since humanity isn't in a formal state of war with the slavers, Jess is in the clear. She's only guilty of technical piracy on the high seas (even though it is space) and I don't think any human prosecutor would be inclined to charge her. Now if the slavers home government decides to prosecute and demands her extradition, I am sure the human government will send her to them - with a fresh commission, a large fleet, and an army group of Terran marines that had been told that if they get this over with quickly, they'd be back in time of the Marine Corps ball. Plus Greg from accounting.
@@lord1todd But the Nations of Earth will be for the most part. Which means that the nations of Earth can introduce the Xenos to the concept of the Geneva Checklist. No worries though. Even if they were co-signers of the Geneva Conventions I doubt the aliens would care all that much and your point still stands.
Geneva only applies during war, and can be waived if major crimes are committed........... They are slavers, they have lost all hope of a peaceful resolution.
That was a butthead thing to do, ending the story the way it did. And here I got all invested and was loving the character. Please tell me that there are more stories with jess in it.
At least, humanity has a warning about the Galactic Council and their evil mechanizations. Jess is a true hero.
'machinations' not 'mechanisations'. Sry. Language nazi :p

There had better be an ending to this story and I mean SOON! WITH ENERGY!!
Is this the sequel to humans are liars

yeah, i just hope Jess survives

This is the story after the one called 'never trust a human'! Holy cow!
LMAO I love these stories where Humans are only behind technologically, but advanced or have the advantage every other way..
Lol "Noodle Aliens"
that's a terrible place to end!!!!!!
thanks for the story and narration
Glad to hear your surgery went well. Keep up the good work.
You are an evil, evil man, ending like that. Cannot wait for the sequel.
There will be no sequel.
These aliens respect surrender surprisingly well.
Remember it’s not a warcrime the first time and against xenos 😂
Onion ninjas... I'm sorry to see the author has deleted their account. This story is great, and exceptionally told. Thank you!
For the truth, for the algorithm, for the beard, and for the narrator!
This story needs continuation.
Thanks as always for a great story. Looking forward to the next!
Earth government is not going to be pleased for a variety of reasons.
Not the least being all the paperwork for the recently liberated refugees.
Let me guess, the slaver's armor is no harder than styrofoam and their bodies are no stronger than a angry 12 year old.
his account is deleted so we are probably not getting any more stories from him
Darn It!.
No we need more!!
this sounds like a follow up to a previous story .

We need more of Jessie! ❤
Very Roberta Draper got dropped into an alternate reality and ends up doing a Die Hard kinda vibes from this one
Greetings, Mentlegent!
For the Rhyhtm that is Algo
Was going great until the end, what a letdown
Thank you for the reading
I enjoyed this story,please write another chapter.thanks
Thank you for the video.
Moar! 😢We need moar….well like a follow up or Sequel at some point… Hopefully the Author makes more on this story.
the author's reddit account got deleted... so it's unlikely, that there will be a follow up.
For the Skald and his family
“Spotting children amongst her”
Xeno slaver: “why do I hear doom music?”
Xeno slaver 2: “why do I feel the presence of an apex predator nearby?”
this seems like a sequel to "all humans lie"
Is this a sequel or part 2 to a story ",Never Trust A Human?"
I think so, it is listed as same universe on the redit page.
sounds like it is. it picks up right after Jess disobeyed her captain and joined the pirate / slaver ship so they could get away.
... I need to know if she made it, someone tell me that woman survived!!!
Great story; Excellent narration!
Woo! Jess!
Do you do audio books cause I would love to hear you read some of my favorite books
that engineer is a got dam hero!
Jess is an Aussie. Perfect. XP
She's a hero and a war criminal at the same time he he
Surrendering yourself as a disguise to attack a combatant is (technically) a war crime :p

Doubt it, as the author's reddit account was deleted... so they either don't want to continue or they can't (at least officially).
Best part of the story. The I'm-not-a-soldier-I-should-be-dead turned cocky and got spanked for it.
Shoots the panel.. what trickery is this.. lmao
Always wondered what became of Jess
I wish it continued
My friend in high-school had the same name. That's funny.
For the algebra rythm
Always, Always, Always, set up door controls to lock when shot or destroyed, because setting them to open if destroyed is just stupid!
I agree.
IRL, there are very few door panels or door locks that would open if you destroy it.
Honestly, it is something of lazy writing.
Until you get trapped somewhere because some idiot spills coffee on the panel.
Actually its a fire measure. Doors automatically open so people arent trapped and firemen can get in.
War crimes for the win?! Lol.
This is a followup to "Humans Lie", isn't it.
I need moaaaar...!!!!

Holy plot armor lmao
My knee jerk reaction to the story ending was UH, RUDE!
