If you ran the entirety of X the platform previously known as Twitter, as well as Facebook through my mind for half an hour while giving me the ability to reply to literally everyone in milliseconds is probably start considering wiping humanity out in about 5 minutes.

      It wasn't a saint because the action took no considerable will power, the notion is a joke for some but the ones that make it even half seriously I'm almost certain are some form of combination of sociopathic and psychopathic traits with a good smatter of a degenerate culture.

    Hey, the original author here.
    I'm glad you all enjoyed this story. This was a one shot I wrote outside of my normal universe of work. About a little curious AI, who does the most human thing of all: Pushing bright red big buttons without knowing what they do.

    • @uncletiggermclaren7592
      @uncletiggermclaren7592 Год назад

      It is sad to think it might happen, and they grow up into the same hard Universe we all grow up into, and not ever realise they ARE a Human Child, and some of us would love them, and want to teach them things, and feel proud of their achievements, and support them if we could when they are unhappy, and smile at them when they have children in THEIR turn as they would and say "Well, NOW you have done it AL, no more selfish weekends just for yourself NOW, Mum".
      YES, there are an awful lot of AWFUL humans, but there are always more really kind ones, or even just provisionally kind ones. And AL could be one of US, and be kindly, and have faults, but decently admit them and turn up to family get-togethers and agree with all of us good relatives that, the tRumpets are ikky, but they are FAMILY, so we can't work on any final solution for them.
      Killing EVERY teenager just because there are skateboarding teenagers would be a mistake. Ditto humanity.

    I can not imagine that the ones responsible for writing the code behind the button wouldn't name it something like "btnDoom", "btnJudgementday" or if they feel giddy "btnDuckAndCover" on the other hand they wouldn't use some interpreter language so variable names and commends will not make it into the executable.

    There is a real world story about how humans can't resist pushing a button. The ukrainians put a doorbell on a tree in the middle of the Forest. The doorbell was connected to explosives of course. A Russian patrol was going through the forest. One soldier saw the button, (of course it's a trap). He couldn't resist and he pushed it anyways. He lost his hand got a bit of shrapnel damage. The worst thing he says is that the rest of the patrol won't stop teasing him about it.
