In UK we can't watch full episodes. Can you make these episodes available in the UK?
BEING FRANK BACK. IF YOU DON'T, IT WILL SINK YOUR RATINGS EVENTUALLY (AND YOUR PROFITS ;)
Beauty! Just driving an 80-year-old car must be an incredible experience! The oldest I've ever owned was a 1958 NSU Prima scooter.
Mike is The KING of VINTAGE!!! So humble and a master of his craft.
The Dynamic Duo. I love them. Great American Pickers. From Rio Brazil.
Lol love that he left Frank, he was just standing there smug face 😅
Cameraman had to ride.
That clutch is toast
Frank moment of silence cracks me up... Lol
These guys dont make a lot of money , they might have to adopt the pawn stars tactics 🤣 hahaha
Frank is so helpless without Mike.
Frank doesn't have a likeable personality...he's always emphasizing what's wrong with everything to drive down the price...there's NO give...he's like a used car salesman or a fast talking politician!
Sweet Ol' Ford... Thanks for Sharing
Cool car ! 36 seems like a good deal.
Love everyone from India❤️
I wonder what Rick from pawn stars would offer.
Rick: 40k?, that’s not gonna happen. $15k is max I can do
One more letter, one more syllable. Cabriolet = Ca-bree-OH-lay.
Pure Quality video 📹 Happy Days 🙂
A throwout bearing is a one day job and less than $40 if you do it yourself.
Its rare but with all cost that car is a 28 thou all day restoring it I hope you get 40 GS for it
With a 50 thousand or so restoration might be worth 30-40 thousand that's realistic
The seller rolled over, folded like a cheap suit. Why did the seller just not say to Mike, "here I am not even gonna as
Making 10% on a potential investment that you have to spend 5% on repairs seems like terrible potential margins and way to large a risk on reward
Anyone who knows classic cars knows that “Original Malfunctions” are worth waaaaay more than bad restorations...$40k???!!! Wtf???...the right buyer would’ve paid $100k hands down as it is...”Original”...the value is there.
Ya man.
@@outdoorfun8780 my apologies genius...the point is that if you have the $$$ ...$$$ is not an issue, like ...if you have the brains...something for some to think about sunshine. ;-D
Frank silent lol 😂
At least A Pickers can't chop the top on it like the last one.
Rick at pawn stars would be like 40 grand? Yeah I can give you 12 grand I’m taking all the risk
that is smart business if your in the pawn business...ricks not a collector he is a reseller.
We made Beutiful cars back then
Should have taken Frank on the ride
I guess when you're not driving it and it's just sitting there parked yeah get the most account for it it's somebody else appreciated I guess
Rick wouldve offered 5 grand
And he would have taken all the risk.
2,000
Beautiful car. I think he paid a little too much for it though.
How is that cheaper than the beat-up Ace motorcycle you bought for 45k
So the seller is making all the money and after alot of moving aroound and time the pickers are making 4k? Sweet...
$40,000 doesn't seem unreasonable.
I woulda asked 50k
You guys are too greedy
is there an episode on this car did they re sell it
Love the show, but it seems their car knowledge is limited. I've seen them ignore I believe a red 57 Tbird that from the video looked fantastic. The owner said it was for sale dropping a starting price in the mid $20,000. Without any apparent negotiations. Mike comments the cars uncomfortable and passes on the car. My quess that car could have been purchased for thousands less. Yet Mike will spend thousands of dollars for rusty motorcycles and parts. With the opportunities they run across to purchase antique and special cars. They should be better schooled in the automotive side of their business. I believe the packard they purchased in an old dealership located on the second floor had been converted into a wrecker which reduces it's values. It was a battle getting the car down an old elevator where they sold it at or just below break even. I'm a car guy and enjoy seeing the cars they come across. As I said before. I'm a big fan. They just need to become more familiar with the automotive side of their business.
I know their knowledge on cars is limited, I saw Frank get hosed on an old Dodge or Plymouth coupe and several other bad car deals, but they sure know bikes.
I guess at the end of the day, as a business owner, it's gotta make sense to him. Maybe it all depends if he has buyers or contacts really wanting or looking for certain items
Mike isnt a car guy hes more of a bicycle guy, his brother Robbie is actually more knowledgeable than him in terms of cars, and frank is a motorcycle guy. If you pay attention to the older seasons most of the time Mike and Frank calls their car experts friends first before they try to offer to buy a car
I don't trust these guys millionaires and they nit pick everything
Rick would have got it for 10k
Picked: $36,000
Value: $40,000
+$4000
But how much to restore it?
About $10k to go through and redo the crappy paint, electrical, and throwout bearing.
Only so many out there
Just fix it up and keep it
How did ford go from that to ridiculous designs and performance we see today? Seems like stock market culture killed the innovation and craft of making a car.
A vary good deal . This car will be sale at least $50 k
More. Cabriolet's are getting harder to find. If it's restored right, could fetch 65k easy.
👍👍👍
Anyone from India?😀
I'm From Mexico 🇲🇽
✌️😎
u s of A
With that car iwould not sell it iwould say 1 million then deal but thts to high
36 sounds way too cheap.....
america came out of the depression in 1939/40

If u take it to pawn # Rick Harrison ull get only 18 k
i got as much as i could with anyone else... translation, these guys were push overs.
❤️
Wasn't the cabriolet a 4 door?
It's a roadster not a cabriolet, worth that kind of money all day long, hate to see that car rodded and chopped up ,they're not making originals so keeping it stock would be preserving it for generations to enjoy over the years.
A 4 door soft top would be a Pheaton I believe.
Have they ever had much luck with cars?
Definitely not Frank
@@Ash-ey9oy yeah that is true
I bet the squealing is the spedo cable not all the way in the trans.
You might be right. I had an old car, I don't remember what it was, but it was making a noise that sounded like a bad lifter, a clicking sound. Everyone that heard it said, sounds like a bad lifter. This was in the early 70s when gas stations still had garages, so I would stop in to see what they thought. To me it sounded like a bad lifter, but the sound was coming from the bottom of the engine, a bad lifter would be in the top. One day I stopped at a gas station to fill up. The mechanic came out and said do you know what that sounds like? I said everyone says it's a bad lifter, but I don't think so. He said there's a metal plate between the starter and the engine. The starter came loose and the metal plate dropped down, and is hitting the teeth on the flywheel. He said, remove the starter, take out the metal plate and throw it away, put the starter back on. When I got home, I checked and the starter was loose. I did what he said, and never had another problem.

Right on.
Sounded like a fan belt squeal to me
@@stevenss5482
Good thought
It sounds like a throw out bearing to me, when you let the clutch out the sound goes away because the load is off the bearing.
He should've offered it to Jay Leno.
Wow , I was thinking the exact same thing . Jay would have given him his full asking price . And of course restored it to mint condition .
I know someone who offered americam choppers a old rare Harley n they weent interested which i was shocked
The car was worth more than 40k
they are trying to fix it and make profit so i hope so
Sad Obiden will take these cars off the road soon with the new green thing coming. Thank you people for voting for socialism.
Jay, you're right. One word comes to mind : Sickening.
But I'll keep my car for a long as I can just to deny paying $30K to $50 (if I'm lucky) for a new one.
You get what you vote for.
I think antique and classic cars will be exempt from restrictions, Biden likes and drives old cars dontcha know.
