@@freshandsaltyjohnny last record I remember was 63lbs ...all the fly fishing records come from the big lake and forebay!!! It holds giants but we're all fishing it wrong, should be throwing big baits..same size as the big shad..12" and bigger..they live on isolated rock piles and islands
@@johndoody7526 that what I was thinking too around 60 to 68lb for the world record. I believe they were throwing a 10in or 12in glide bait. Those big one are hard to catch 😪

If you google map san luis reservoir cottonwood Bay it should take u right to it. Just gotta find a parking spot n hike to the spot. No need to go there cause all the fish die
On monday there was probably 50 dead fish in the other corner and a few dozen dead on the left shoreline..dead baitfish and zombies swimming everywhere
@@sc1outdoors have you had any issues with break ins? I saw a guy lurking around my truck, I keep my doors unlocked and truck empty..I keep a lookout for everyone's vehicles. I fish alone and drive the black 01 Tacoma..long white hair and beard..
@@johndoody7526 no never had any issues but my buddy car have been break ins and Cadillac converter stolen 😥 😢 😭. Just beware of where u park at n make sure don't leave anything inside the car and don't go far from ur car stay close so u can see and bring a weapon for ur safety 🙂 that place is sketchy.
