I've noticed a disproportionate number of people have an irrational fear of lawn gnomes so I was hoping you could make some thing to justify their fear. Something like a Lawn Gnome security system with a few levels of security. Maybe have them pop out of the ground and if the motion continues, make them animatronic and say leave or suffer the consequences with glowing red eyes and then if whatever it is is still around all bets are off. You can have them throw stuff at you, maybe start with a sprinkler or spray glue, cover the intruder with a glitter bomb to use as evidence (you call the police and are like it is a tall guy in all black and they should be covered in red glitter...) and then finish with a loud air horn to get the person out of there! The more gnomes the better and the weirder the places they pop out of the better!

Yes, Deora II. His Taurus wagon *was* used to model the front of it. Back in 1965 for the Deora, they used the front of a 1960 Ford Wagon. So its a tradition.
To make the bearings run smoother you could mill out a ring of masonite with fingers projecting inward to fit between the balls and hold them equidistant from each other. Metal ball bearings have plastic or metal pieces that do that, called the ball cage.
I liked that opening. Also ARE YOU COLLABORATING WITH MARTIN ON THE MMX PROJECT?! (Ok maybe not, but I did spy some gears. Maybe half-gears for a catapult-raising mechanism?)
