- Come thrift with us at the Goodwill outlet bins in Columbia, where Hairy Tornado is located! No one expected the bins to be as they were that day.
We also hit up three different goodwill retail stores afterwards for more thrifting where we look for cheap stuff we can flip for profit on Ebay, Poshmark, Mercari and Depop!

ESPRIT was a super RAD brand in the late 80's/early 90's. Every friend's birthday party I would buy an ESPRIT sweatshirt as a gift.
Oh no way!!!! That’s RAD for sure 👏🏼👌🏼
I was going to comment the same thing. It was an “it” brand back in the day. People nostalgic for it. Also Benneton was the same way. 💕💕.
You guys are so thorough. Consistently checking sell through rate and condition. It is extremely important. Keep it up.
Thank you so much, appreciate that! 😄
Great video thank you both. BOLO shoes called Orthofeet sell for $40 - $60 plus shipping. Often they just look like plain old folks shoes but they sell well on ebay in the US and here in UK/Ireland. Regards from Alison in Northern Ireland.
Definitely going to be on the look out for them! Thanks for the Bolo 🥰
I like how thoroughly you guys look at the quality. It's teaching me to be more thorough.
Love to hear that, thank you! 👏🏼
Im from the Columbia area and don’t really like the goodwills here. Try and take a trip to Charleston. Good inventory for me down there. Charleston, Mt. pleasant, James and John’s island.
Would have to agree with you there, although I think we went at a bad time (the weekend) as we've had great hauls from Columbia before... But yes, we loved Charleston's GW's for sure! Will have to check out the other locations you provided ASAP!!!! :D
Esprit was my jam back in the day. Mid to late 80s. Along with Guess, LA Gear
Throwbacks!!!! 👌🏼👌🏼
Thank you! Rad Resell
I appreciate your transparency. So many times I go to goodwill I walk out with nothing. I’ve gotten really good at knowing what not to buy. Appreciate all the information. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!! Yes, we go out empty handed soooo many times but most resellers obviously don't show that (not necessarily to hide it, but because there's no content to be made from it lol), but we try to be as transparent as possible and include some days where it happens!
I'm surprised they took that time to find the 2nd shoe and stay as long as they did. I would be outta that place in a heartbeat after seeing what they had in the bins. The big sign in the back says Textiles, purses, and there were absolutely none.
Esprit was big in the late 80s. That sweatshirt brings back memories of that time for a lot of people I would suspect. Now you need to just find the pair of 80s Jordache jeans to pair with it, haha.
Interesting! For sure, it actually sold in days.. :D And we once found a vtg Jordache jeans but have yet to find another one!
I use to work for them back in the 80s I had just move to Hawaii from New York it was my first retail job it’s pronounced es-pree… love it…it does bring back memories united colors of Benetton was also huge during that time.
Oh no! Esprit Sweatshirt sold!! 😢 I was looking for that... Next time if you find one in red Medium. Thanks!
what fun,,
Great video!! That sucks 🤬 those days are no bueno , vintage college hats do good as well, hopefully you checked the hats after finding that sweater 🤞
We werent happy thats for sure 😭 But spoiler alert: we did go back two days later and there was new inventory and not just old shoes!! 🤩 Love vtg college hats!! Didn’t find any unfortunately 😩
found a coogi in the wild, cotton short sleeve button up in large..selling for $100....got the true whacky colors and if in silk would be $200 - $250
Whoaaaahh that’s awesome! 👏🏼
Tornado's bins is awesome and that's an S load of shoes.. Ours is 2x the price with 1/2 the stuff. 2.29 DVD etc. Ours, everyone runs even if it all old.
Whaaaaa 🤯
Great vid as always! 😊
Thank you! 😁
FIRE!!!
Thanks best friend!!!!!!🤩
Those Dunks are actually Jordan 1 lows. You can tell because they have the Jordan logo on the back of the heel.
So true!! 🤣
love you guys, as always!! GOO-WILL!!!
Lololll!! Thank you! 😄
I said I was gonna go on Monday lol. I live an hour away. Hope yall have good finds and the resell God blesses yall. ❤
We ended up going on Monday (two days after this was filmed) and had a much better haul - Spoiler: YES they had new inventory and NOT just shoes! Hope you have an awesome trip if you go!
Hey Guys Why didn't you stop n North Charleston? There's a reg Goodwill and a bin store rite beside it. They change out bins on the hour or they did😅
It’s too far out of the way when heading to Columbia. We’re plan on making a thrift trip to Charleston very soon tho! 🤩
Sucks when you have a disappointing day like this but I guess it’s part of it. And good to show the good bad and the ugly. A couple nice finds though!
Yes, we were highly disappointed! Thanks for watching regardless! :-D
I saw... 1 clean steel toe timbaland shoe... not sure if the other 1 is there lol
lol the PAIN
goodwill bins need to zip tie the shoes together with the pair instead of rubber bands. it would boost their sales tremendously.
Agreeed!!!
5:40, those are jordan 1 low not dunks. very similar but not the same.
Ohh!! 😆
Goodwill here lately has been disappointing. They are pricing things way too high.
Yeah we’ve been hearing that been happening a lot in different areas 😢
Good will should definitley zip tie shoes together before sending them to the bins, so many being thrown out I am sure.
AGREED
5:39 Those aren’t Nike Dunks, those are Jordan 1 Lows. They look alike but aren’t the same thing
Definitely noted! Thanks,good eye 👍
Love love ❤
Thank you!! 💛
Carhartt doesn't hit for me. I've been sitting on my Carhartt Force Ripstop pants for over a year with nothing. And the sell thru rate is barely 50% unless you break down the search into a category that fits the ones you found.
It’s crazy that some items sell better for some people and others not so well. We have “bolo” brands that other people say sell super quick for them but they have been sitting for months 😖
Best of luck tomorrow at the bins! You’ll turn this trip around and pull out trays of hot cupcakes. 🧁💪🏼🙃
LMAO a trays of hot cupcakes 🤣🤣 thank you!
I was there the other day. And there was nothing. The next door,no organization.
Ughhh yes, definitely not our favorite bins place!
So the Hairy Tornado bins was all a lie. Lol. At least you found a couple of items from the retail stores.
Maybe we just went on a bad day 😭 We went again two days later and it was new inventory and not just shoes! 🤩
❤❤❤
💛💛💛
I have heard people say, probably you guys too, that you shouldn't put "coggi-style" in your title, but I have not ever had a problem with doing that and there are thousands of current and sold listings with it. What are your experiences?
Huh, why not??? We ALWAYS include that... And all of our coogi style sweaters (besides the one we just found here that we listed yesterday) have sold with "coogi style" in the title xD
@@RadResells Some resellers say you might get a Vero. It might be that they put coogi as the brand, which you definitely should not do, unless it is coogi. Cheers.
@@RadResellsIt is called keyword spamming and is against eBay rules. However Coogi does not seem to care much.
can you all explain what you mean when you say sell through rate?
Sure! Sell-through rate is the ratio between «solds» and «available»; it basically shows demand vs supply aka how fast an item should sell. Hope that helps!
jordan 1 low not dunk BTW
Thank you we appreciate it. They look so similar !
Sorry not right for them to try n sell at full price 😮
At least have matching pairs of shoes right 😅
my only comment is you should wear gloves.
When going through clothes we prefer gloveless (helps to feel quality) BUT with shoes and hard goods…. Definitely should’ve had gloves 🥲
What a disappointment at the bins. I do remember every sporting ESPRIT in the 80's and some of the 90's . Hopefully things will turn around when you guys hi them up on the way back. Good luck.
Suchhhh a disappointment!! 😩 Interesting, we didn’t know ESPRIT would still be as popular (already sold!) 👌🏼 We did go to the bins one more time two days later and spoiler alert: NEW INVENTORY and not just shoes! 🤩 Stay tuned! Thanks!
Great vid as always! 😊
Thank you! 😊😊
