Yes, we can hear you and can also hear how you're throwing the items around so carelessly. No wonder they're scratched up.
So much stuff
Agree
Yup
Agree!
She's not throwing glass! Look how she puts the two candles inside something so they didn't get broken!
I feel like I need to wash my hands after watching you dig thru those bins.
If you see something you like, don't stare at it, keep your poker face on. When I was new to the bins I used to tell my friends, "OH COOL, look at that!" then someone who knew nothing about it would squeeze in and like hover over it to snatch it first. I saw this guy picking out a set and I found a few pieces to his set so I grabbed it for him and he was so shocked that someone would actually show any sort of humanity at the bins.
I ask my neighbors what they are looking for and toss them items and they will start to do the same for me. 🤩
@@courtneydahlgaard3797 I really wish people were like in my area but sadly they are all very selfish and most don't even speak English.
@@courtneydahlgaard3797 great idea Courtney
That's AWESOME! Someone has to show people how to be human versus being like animals. That's good you that you did that
Hopefully others will copy you.
wow....you can just tell by her voice that she is a cranky mean bitter person and probably has been most of her life - you handled that situation great and i love her instant karma of you finding her match - no way i would have give it to her either (i probably would have showed her actually - lol)
I was on the ground looking through a box at an estate sale. No one else was around me. Some lady came over to where I was and snatched something right out of what I was looking at. So rude.
I always wear gloves at the bins, it’s such a fun place.
I’ve never encountered rude people but the workers do have to get after people about their unsupervised children. They yell super loud too, “who’s child is this, get your child please,” it’s Fantastic 😂
I took my now 27 y/o son on his 5th birthday (I think) with his 9 y/o sister at the time, it was so much fun and we saw Grave Digger of course! We went the next year too, haven’t been since!😊
I agree with you. There is no way in this world I would have let her have that snow shoe! And, I would have made sure she knew I had them!
I am so happy that you handled it in the way that you did. Karma and I believe the more love and kindness that we show other the more we get the same in return. ❤
There is a lady at my bins that tries to crowd me out all the time. I just move to another spot and usually find something amazing. 😮
Way to go Missy so glad you stuck up for yourself I watch you all the time and you are always kind to everyone at that bins😍
In all fairness, we can't be calling out "mine" on items. Once all the bins are in place, then it's whoever takes the item first.
Yeah but that was like oh you want that? Watch me and tough sh•t!
Woody Woodpecker blow mold!!!!! Very cool. Also that ice cream scoop I have the same one, You heat it in microwave before you scoop ice cream and it helps. Yay! Great finds.
Spent every summer of my childhood going to Silver Dollar City - now my husband and I take our kids and it is still just as amazing!!
I live in England and we have a television show called " Money for nothing " different designer's are given items that would go into the dumpster & recycled and sold & the owners given to profit from the sale
Totally agree with you! Glad it worked out well for you!!
I remember having a problem with someone like that. But I was in school and I was 5 years old. So was the other person. At least most of us end up growing up to mature adults 😂👍
Feeding frenzy at the zoo comes to mind!
That SAME LADY pushed my friend out of the way and called her a b word when my friend was helping the gentleman she was with find what they were looking for. I’m so glad you stuck up for yourself! I wish we would have reported her.
One word, manager. Name calling? Really
Lol,that's so funny. I'm a little bit worse than you because I would have made sure she knew I had the match to the one she so rudely snatched from you. Oh,well like I said you're a better person than me.😊
Love the rainbow heart design on the vintage Hallmark book bag.
WOW! Never seen such mayhem😂 I've also never heard of these bulk Good Will bins. Looks like fun
The Japanese have a tradition of filling cracks in bowls with gold and it is quite beautiful.
It's called "kintsugi." It's pretty cool. I'd like to try getting it done, but can't find anyone who does it; and it might be too costly anyway..
Hey Missy, 😂 I know the lady in your video. I couldn’t stop laughing. Great find with the blow mold!
Bins? Surprised anything comes out of the bins not damaged.
I cannot believe the cheek of some people, who behaves like that! Absolutely LOVE the fact u found ur own pair and the second to her pair, I would have done the exact same.... no actually, I'm more petty, I wudda told her I had it and then kept it 🤣
You go girl you did the right thing and sticking up for yourself. I’m glad you found another sit plus one that she needed. I hope you didn’t give it to her.
Like she said the kids are supposed to stay with their mother but most of them don't care. You are suppose to rummage through the bins like that to find anything. I went to a restaurant and the kid that was there with her mom was picking all of the vanilla wafers off of the banana pudding and the mother didn't do or say anything.
I would have made sure she knew that I had the match to hers and that I wasn't going to let her have it. lol
Love that you took the mate to her pair lol
She probably didn't keep the snowshoe that was crappy of her, don't ever tell anyone again what you're after 😂😂 cool haul.
Loved the video, thanks so much for the content, i am trying to learn about all types of categories i can resell in and this is very helpful as i have much to learn. Keep up the great work!!!
Nasty but…you also pushed through two little girls to grab what you wanted. I found that a little….well…
I agree.
Exactly. And she just stands there looking at stuff and speaking monotone. Like....put it in your cart and get out of the way.
From what my friend tells me about the bins(and she stopped doing it for this reason) people bully for the sake of it. Also. She left the children when she realised they were picking too? From what I see, she doesn't go in aggressive.
Yes! Yes! Then she literally grabbed that black fabric out of the ladies hand and almost hit her with it while throwing it into her own cart!
Yes !! Iowa state fair is incredible and u found some great Goodwill items👍☺️
I was looking back on some of your old videos, and I know who that is from the bins and she has always been like that! I can’t tell you how many times has pushed me out of the way to grab something that I was reaching for.
Manager, can’t have a quiet chat? At our bins, some rude and obnoxious folks have had the manager give them a small talking to. It has worked. People don’t want to lose their bin’s privileges.
Good job sticking up for yourself and hopefully she learns a valuable lesson…it pays to be nice.
We are not allowed to be in the aisle while they are changing bins, not even the opposite side. They hold everyone at ONE end of the building so it is like an ocean wave rolling in when they give the go ahead. No carts or bins are allowed either, you can carry a bag. I want to try the bins in Dallas, there are two sides divided into soft lines and hard lines. When they switch the bins EVERYONE has to go to the other side. My anxiety has kept me from going the past 6 months, getting on some meds so hopefully I can get back to digging.
I love eating finger foods right after I've finished a long, hard, sweaty day at the bins. Oh yeah and I never wash my hands before I eat, it keeps me healthy.
That first doll looked like a Madame Alexander doll. And that cake tier, I would've snatched it up.😭
Chocolate at the bins! 😍
I would have loved the embroidery books.
My daughter made koolaid purses like the Capri Sun bag you found… cool!
I WAS TAUGHT BY MY PARENTS WHO WERE SURVIOURS OF THE HOLOCAUST,TO "STAND UP FOR MYSELF BECAUSE NO ONE ELSE WILL..
I would have done the same thing, but I would have showed her the match to her snow shoe, and said. "everything is fair game", then turned around and walked away!
She only wanted it, because you wanted it!
Some people have no manners.
I hate how everyone just thrashes around!! She finds the vintage tin and just throws it and starts throwing a bunch of hard stuff on top of it 🙄
Very rude on her part!!! Kudos to you for finding the pair and keeping the extra one!!! I’m surprised you don’t cover your cart with a sheet to keep people from shopping in it while your back is turned.
That crazy looking purple long-necked bird looking thing is $180 hatchimal
31.20 I believe that was a vintage Lisa Frank bag. Oh I would make sure “the bully” saw that you found her other one and another pair.
People should keep their young children home. It's not like they're buying anything just getting in the way of serious buyers. There's a time and place for kids and the bins isn't it. Take them to the regular Goodwills.
Thank you for thinking of me regarding the cake stands. I see it was scratched but still keep looking please.
This is really strange if you think about it. If our great grandparents could see this they would feel sorry for us. It seems regressing than progressing.
I get anxiety just watching videos at the bins. I couldn't do it.
seems like those places can attract some bottom feeders rude types
You're better than me. I would've shown her I had her other shoe than offer to sell it to her if she really wanted it.
🎉yes I agree 💯 I would say quite time
Way to go girl !
Some people gets pretty intense at thrift stores. One day arriving to one of them , I went directly to the jewelry case, at the same time one of the workers was arriving with one jewelry bag (95 dlls)..and I say, can I see it??... and suddenly somebody yelled from far behind me, that's mine (but with a very bad attitude)!!. And I turned and it was an old lady and she said I have 2 hours waiting for that bag!... and the manager was called and said , you have to bid for the bag. And I said...no, she can have it ! And I moved back to the jewelry case,, and 3 mins later ...another employee comes with a plastic case of single bagged pieces .. and I asked to see them...and I grabbed some of them and the lady yelled...that is mine also... and I said.. excuse me ?! And she said ....all the jewelry is mine... and I said why?? And she said... becuase i have been waiting for it. And at that point I was very mad !! And I suddenly thought....why am I fighting with this old lady over jewelry??! .. if having all the jewelry of the place makes her happy, she can have it all. I was feeling very ashamed of myself because I got rude to an old lady....even when she had no right on that merchandise. But I just told her, enjoy! And I left. I couldn't even told the story to my husband, I was really ashamed of myself hahah.
The snowman and Mikasa bowl were great, but sadly you left them!
At our bins you can't even stand that close to the bin and have your hand out like that. That is an automatic kick out. And if two ppl want the same thing to make it fair the staff will flip a coin. We have lines on the floor we can't cross until they say shop. I wouldn't have given her the other one either and probably held on to it until I left. Just saying...ppl are so rude. I've actually helped ppl look for things. Thank you for sharing.
Mine is like this also. I have people reach over my all the time. I try to take a moment on my way to the bins to remember to be loving and kind to all. ❤
Nancy needs a vintage glass cake plate. So much better than plastic!
Definitely don't like goodwill bin shopping. Rather have all set out on shelves. Everything just throne and busted.
New subbie here, I really enjoyed this video!
A few years ago an old lady tried yanking part of a blender out of my hands I had first dibs on at a regular goodwill. I was willing to buy half of the blender for full price just so she couldn't have it. If she hadn't been so rude, I would've likely let her have it. When checking out, they wouldn't let me buy the partial blender, although they sided in my favor and let me buy the whole unit. The look on the old lady 😆
I hope she saw u got the match to hers!! That would have been awesome!!
I refuse to fight for space to look at the bins. I wait till people move on and then look at my leisure.
Glad you found another pair of snow shoes, plus one. Paybacks a #itch. Good for you.
Love that little fish
In the end we all have to live with ourselves.❤
Thumbs up for the snow shoe!
Hi I can hear you great love watch you at the bins we have the bins to but not like yours love the old stuff you get I love old stuff
I would have been petty, too. 😂
It reminds you of your childhood damn you can remember 80 years ago damn I can’t remember yesterday!
They throw elbows at my bins. I Like how you handle that!!
I never have a problem hearing you. I would have bought that dvd collection if you had picked it up
I have been to the bins in Plainfield Indiana a couple of times when I lived there. I’m back in South Mississippi now and there are no Goodwill bins 😢. I watch your videos and I would want to rescue everything. Especially toys that are still good. It kills me to know it all gets dumped 😢
Hey! Mississippi here as well. Columbia.
There is a Goodwill Outlet in Ridgeland(Jackson area).
I've had a couple doc appts there recently and went by the "bins" each time.
Mostly clothes.
Hard goods have been terribly picked over by the times I've gotten there, late afternoons.
The store is kindof disappointing for hard goods, honestly; but still, pretty fun. Give it a try.
People seem a little more mannerly, too. lol
@@jeremyrobbins8033 I will certainly try and stop by next time I am up that way. I’m about 1 1/2 hrs from there. I live in Laurel. I didn’t realize there was a Goodwill Bins that close to me. Thanks for the info.
My heart sank when I seen the Frankenteddy Beanie Baby get tossed to the side! 😭💔🧸
I didnt see her do anything wrong this is how you have to dig at the bins. And they are not carefull with the items, this is the last stop before the landfill.
Ah!!! That Ginny doll at the beginning!! I want that!!!!!
And that noah’s ark book is amazing!
The old bowl would be cute on display..
You are lucky she didn't steal the ones out of your cart while your back was turned! Had that happen before. :(
Had it happen just the other day with one of a pair of Cole Haan shoes. Someone took it out of my cart, but when they saw it was just one (I was searching for the other and never found it), they threw it back in the bin. Ppl are horrible sometimes!
I know I could not be looking through those bins I might be in jail before it’s over.
Yes you have to stick up for yourself!!!!
I own two of those gold Japanese pictures but have never been able to find the other two sessions. They are very pretty
Hi sis yes I can hear u clearly:) never been to the bins my son says ill lose it lol
I’m there all the time, south side Des Moines.
One of my GW friends got so greedy, that junk became his friend @ 2.29 lb. It's too bad. The clothes guys have everything "stitched up", but I got a nice North Face shirt in the hard goods without having to fight for it.
I'd have made sure that hateful woman saw all three of your snowshoes! 🤣
I love your video's and haven't been watching long but I would have gone one step above what you did concerning that rude bish at the bins!
I would have had to show her the match I found to hers plus the other pair I found and I'm a nice person but do stand up for myself because there are wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too many "Karens" out here lol
Thanks girl, for another fun vlog!!!
Wish we had goodwill bin stores anywhere
That Baseball Glove was probably worth a few bucks. Those older leather gloves are in demand because most of the gloves they make thesedays are synthetic junk.
That sounds like bad karma on her part! Glad you found another set. The bins are fantastic except when you have people like that. So bad for everyone. Love your videos. Stay true to you!
You go girl…. ✌️
Awesome I will follow you.
Yes. I would have kept it. Rudeness doesn't pay off. But, be mindful of children.
I would give my children an ok to pick out somethings, so they have the right to look to. At that point they probably thought you were rude.
Clicked here to see the drama...lol
That is why I never say anything about what I am looking for at the bins. There are no friends at the bins.
I just watched your video with the rude lady. It seemed to me she was just being mean and spoiling for a fight. I think you handled right, I would have done the same. But me being me, I might have flat out asked her if she grabbed it because she didn't want me (you) to have it. 😊
Mean people suck! i love that you gave her some karma she deserved!! lol
Cool
Love the wooden dog and lion things! OMG! Totally rude lady. Yes, you totally stuck up for yourself. ❤
Depending on the price of the cake stand, could the paint have been removed/scraped off ? Would be a nice little glass etching project. So instead of the paint you'd have it milky looking.
I would have kept the other snow shoe too.
