Fun fact about Ivanova. She only wears earring in one ear instead of two. Because she has given her other one to Ganya, his brother who went to fought the Earth-Minbari war for luck. His fighter crashed killing him in the war. In his memory she always wear the other earring.
The new actor playing Draal, John Shuck makes me think he'd make a great Gandalf. He was quite threatening when expecting Sheridan and seeing Ivanova at first, and also his slow instruction to Ivanova in the machine...
Just one of the remaining First Ones are at sigma 957- the so called Walkers. Others are elsewhere. But before she could reach them on the path she was interrupted by the Shadows, who were of course aware that someone might try to gather the other ancients against them and used their immense powers to disrupt the search
1:32 "I like you" ... in the german translation, synchronisation he said so much more, and also the voice fits better, like always when I watch movies or series with original audio, even with the real voices from actors ... your language, especially english, is so lousy and poor, our german is so much better, more rich and with much more mutiple words
Perhaps but I watched loads of German synchronised movies and I always got the idea only a few voice actors and actresses did the whole movie. But good idea. I will look into the difference what the German translation says. My German is good enough for translating it to English. Thanks for the information. Hope you enjoy it even when it's not translated into German.
I still loved the German translation episodes of Battlestar Galactica more then the English original one. I even got it on cassette somewhere taped from the tv I would listen to the battles endlessly in German and I loved it. Been a long time.:)
@@JK-Visions yes, buddy, I try to do (to enjoy the original voices and sound), but for me it sounds wrong, and fact is, in german we have a more rich numbers of words, so much different ways to describe any situation, english is really poor, except the political correctness nonsense, to delete or bleep "bad" words
@@JK-Visions german (the language, our diction) has the legend to be always rude or hard, but, that is absolutely not so, we can describe all really different, even poetic, also problematic topics, we have wonderful sychron speaker, and even for become older or already died actors they find often solutions, sometimes speak the children from a former speaker new material
If your image is stuttering try HD. I have no trouble with it on my computer screen, but in 4K the space scenes seem to stutter.
When I first watched the episode, I didn't realise that those "strange lights in the sky" were the glowing eyes of a Shadow creature! Very subtle. 😎
Yes me too. All the subtleties make B5 a gem and a Masterpiece.

Ah! Mr Morden pulling the strings back then before anyone even knew
I like this episode; traveling through the tunnel in space-time...

I think he would do a great job as Gandalf yes.
HA ha ha! I like you, you're trouble. great line.
The Palantír moment for Lord of The Rings in space.
Yea and when they go to Sigma 957 all they get is "ZOG".
Next video;)
@@JK-Visions Who knew they were French?!?
ZOG yes, or Zog No?

How fiction mimicks life. An illegitimate President and I don't mean Orange man.
I always assumed that the Shadow's "Eye" was what kept Draal from helping out more often.
Could well be. I always thought it's their consciousness a bit like the eye of Sauron.
@@JK-Visions - It does exert a powerful telepathic influence.
I thought Sigma 957 is where the remaining First Ones are at, while the Shadows are at Za'ha'dum?
No perhaps it's a writing error. There are lots of ancient one's in the finale. Though the Shadows are oldest, then the Vorlons and so on.

There are many first ones- the 'Walkers' are at sigma 957, older than Voslons younger than Shadows angry at both, especially the Shadows.
I just realized that he doesn't look sort of like Delenn at her start. It could be a cultural thing like Japanese white makeup theater.
Not sure why the Shadows were there and how they picked up on Ivanova's presence. Did they set up some kind of defense like the one at Z'ha'dum?
I think they sensed the great machines help.
Which episode is this please?
are those shining lights, shadow's eyes?
Yes.
basically, thats the Shadows version of the Great Machine keeping watch on the First Ones
Eye of Sauron much?
Looked a lot like it i thought but LOTR was made much later so perhaps they got the idea from this episode:)

@@EGeraldhuebner What do you mean?
The english vocabulary contains +40% more than german, there should be more nuance there.
Sad that the actress had so many personal troubles after this series.
Which problems?
