Wow--this is a lot of suggestions. Thanks! Everything on my 4 year-old phone was working, but suddenly it felt hot, and then it lost capability to make/receive phone calls & voicemail. I tried your steps, except for the factory reset. (Don't want to lose photos or contacts info, or at least till I learn how to save & transfer them) I'm glad system reset worked for several folks--but it didn't for me. Tomorrow I'll get brave enough to take the case off and access the SIMS card. Hopefully the sudden heat didn't mean something integral to the phone didn't short out! I'm ignorant and forget the sequence of steps, but I'm gradually learning.
Thanks SO much for this video! Although it didn't fix my particular problem (because the problem was on my carriers end), it made me feel empowered to try to tackle the issue and helped me get to know my phone better in case future problems arise. Although my son is fine with it, I feel bad having to ask him for help all the time and would like to be able to at least try to fix problems on my own.
I had to correct the Access Point Name, Network Operators and turn on International Data Roaming, Allow 2G Service and finally made my phone work. It's been a long day...
Thank you dude ! My calls went down 2 weeks ago , net , text , pics all worked fined.. Once I got to the "network settings / reset" , in your video , boom ! Was good to go ..
I cant make calls, but i can use data and text. If they trying to call me they hear ringing my number but it doesnt show to my phone. Also when i transfer my sim to other phone i can call to others.
My mom had problems with her Phone. Took out the SIM card and cleaned it , put it back in nice and tight. Worked again! T Mobile could not help her and wanted my Mom to buy a new expensive Phone.
When I try to make a phone call I see that the phone is dialing the number but I can't hear the dial and if anybody's on the other end answering hello hello I can't hear it and then I'll just hear them hang up on the other end
It may be a lot easier than this. On my Moto g android phone. Voice Calls Unavailable is appears when the Sim Card is disable. In Settings go into Sim Card or Sim Preferences or Call Preferences, or similar. In here one can turn Calls on or off and Mobile data on or off. If the "Call" Sim is off you won't be able to make or receive calls. Make sure it is turned on before trying anything else. I also have a Samsung tablet but I can't find the above on this phone, so the solution will be phone dependent.
THANK YOU! I feel so smart being able to handle these silly phone problems without running to the store or to a 14-year-old!

My phone won’t receive calls but only text messages when I’m at home HOWEVER I can receive normal calls when I’m outside my home
Mine does exactly that too!
do you have the same number of service bars, whether your in or outside your home?

So I've done everything but the factory reset.. Will I lose my pictures, messages and so on if I do? My phone carrier couldn't even help
Unfortunately, yes. Your only option would be to back them up on a cloud service.
