A trick for the door breaking zombies if you dont want gravity blocks over your door. if you place the door in the open position and then close it the zombie can't break it for whatever reason. I think this still works in 1.17
2:40 Mobs can't break "Open" doors, and villagers can't enter them either, so if you first place the door in it's "open" position, and then "close it", mobs can't break it and villagers can't enter! 3:41 You can also lead them with food :)
Already knew most of these as a MC boomer, but it's real heartwarming to see quick and easy quides like this made for the newer players who don't have a literal decade of experience in MC
For number 12 another idea is that if you place the door so that it looks like it’s in an open position, and then “close” it. This confuses zombies so the can’t do anything. Give it a shot, also please tell me if this is wrong because I don’t play minecraft I just watch a lot of videos!
Most of these I knew already, but I didn't know the villager trick! Thanks, that will really come in handy. Usually I try the bed/workstation method for a while then give up and spend 20 minutes setting up a rail system or moving them with boats.
But glowstone blocks and lamps still work. Plus he didn’t say “what people forgot”, it was in present tense, as in when people make bases underwater now they forget they can use lanterns.
0:50 alternative tip: if you lost in a cave, mine up to the surface. It always works 4:55 you can also use water but this is still useful in nether where water cant be placed
Unless you have stacks to burn, coal blocks are actually inefficient. When used as fuel, the entirety of the block or 9 coals in total are burned. So unless you are cooking or smelting one 64 stacks of something, its better to stick individual coals.
@@GOATexp its not more efficient, because unless you have a chest with a hopper going into that furnace, its a lot worse, you're wasting a lot of coal turning them into coal blocks, if you put a stack of items into a furnace, and want to cook that many items, than you will need 8 eaices of coal to smelt that whole stack perfectly, 9 would not hurt it simply because the very last peice of coal (the 9th) wouldnt get used, but as the coal block, it may smelt more but not in a good way, the whole antire coal block would be used up, wasting that 1 coal you couldve used to smelt 8 more items with, through time that cold waste a few bit of coal, not a big difference, but a difference you n ed to look out for, i mean imagine you smelting like 5 porkchop, but your furnace is filled with coal blocks, you just wasted 8 coal to smelt 5 iron
@@ItsTJ1 if you’re doing tony amounts than yes but that’s doesn’t mean it’s not technically more efficient. More useful for smaller things doesn’t make it more efficient overall
@@GOATexp i know, and i realize that but, most players when starting up wont need to smelt more than a st ack of items at a time, and this video was portrayed to save you hours, at the begginning of your minecraft world (: just sayin theyre both efficient in their ways
Also, jack o' lanterns are also waterproof. And finally, you can move items fairly quick if you have schulker boxes and an ender chest since you can put multiple full shulker boxes in the ender chest. You can also have multiple ender chests at different bases. Since whatever items you put in one ender chest are available in the duplicates, you can stash a bunch of items to clear your inventory in case you want to pick up more items on the way to your other base.
I always have a few ender chests in my inventory with shulker boxes in it. It's basically a backpack that's a little unhandy to manage. For that reason, I rename and recolor my shulker boxes to keep track of my items.
2:37 Number 12: You can replace the door inverted, so it says it's open in the F3 screen when it's actually closed, this way zombies think it's open and won't break it and can't go through.
The spawn chunks thing is interesting and there's a lot more to it. I remember there's a way to find the center chunk of the spawn chunks using a compass but i forget exactly how, but basically that chunk is the center of a 19x19 square of entity ticking chunks (processes entities), and there's another ring of chunks outside of that which only process redstone. Something I learned recently is that the entity ticking chunks lose their entity processing when no one is in the overworld, so an iron farm would stop working for example. And for singleplayer worlds, having the "smooth world" option of Optifine enabled actually seems to remove the spawn chunk processing. Farms that involve growing things like sugarcane have to be within a player's random tick range, which is the same range that spawns mobs (a 128 block sphere). I made the same mistake in one of my past videos lol If you use a mod by Masa called MiniHUD, you can have a visual of the spawn chunks also dude i LOVE the edit done at 0:07 it's super clean
Another extremely helpful tip chunk loaders in vanilla are now insanely easy to make and they load 3 chunks around them! MAKE CHUNK LOADERS THEY ARE EXTREMELY HELPFUL!!!

To stop zombies breaking doors, open your door, then break it and place another in the same place so it looks open. Then close it. To the game, this is an open door, but it is closed over the doorway.
2:50 Alas, but most mechanics used for farms (including plant growth and mob spawning) rely on random ticks which require a player nearby, even in spawn chunks or permaloaded chunks. There are a few farms that still work without a nearby player though, such as iron farms and cobblestone farms.

I have a good idea. Cheese. Before laughing just hear me out. You can cook milk and get it. It will take a fair amount of time but not too long. Say 12 seconds. Also, if you have nine cheese wedges (which is what you get from cooking milk) you can craft a wheel of cheese which can be placed and eaten like a cake. But it gives a bit more saturation. Say three and a half what-cha-ma-call-its. Another idea of mine is that to get an ore block to its deepslate cousin, just combine it with deepslate. People who like to collect rare items might argue that this would decrease rarity of the item but others would definitely agree with me. Although, for emerald this would be a bit annoying because it would decrease heftily in rarity. Just my opinion, and I don’t care or mind if you have an opposing one. 🙂
On the door topic, if you place a door on the SIDE block of the opening not the normal way, you will know you did it correctly because the door will place like it's open already.
