my favorite drummers of all time are Lombardo, Hunting, Carey, and Duplantier. Metal just brings out the talent. You can't half ass this genre.. you have to be on top of your game.
It's amazing how at this age he still plays so intense. But I do believe that faster stuff should be getting harder to play for him. I mean...Tom's drumming is insane and I wonder how much longer can he keep up at this pace. He worked his ass off in his drumming career. And when I ever watch interview's with him he looks like a such a nice guy. Tom is a worker. Hail Exodus!
Yeah it will get tougher to play this fast and intense with age. I guess for drummers it’s super important to keep healthy - lots of cardio, keep bones muscles and joints in good shape and not to drink or smoke much
Tom is 55 years old. That is no age- hes got many good blasting years to come if he wants to. But with age the ability of percistance becomes more improtant. I believe in him.
Well, Buddy Rich was speeding along into his 70s. Granted, he didn't hit quite as hard as your thrash or death metal drummers, but he was no featherweight either.

I used to try and play his style back in the day like "till death do us part" it was so hard for me to get it right especially at the begin of the song. Tom Hunting your a left-handed bad ass!

Thrash= a Mercyful Fate guitar riff and a Discharge drumbeat(Tom 'Blaster' Hunting). Never ever saw him miss a beat live, always self-checking his drums before the gig. Keep it up Tom, love you and see you live, soon.

I always thought that the "H" team was Holt-Hunolt-Hunting. No disrespect to Bostaph but only Tom can deliver the real Exo sound etc. Just my opinion.
