Nice build. I think that the weathering pencils seems to make a more realistic result. I’m building this kit right now. So thanks for your inspiration Greetings from Sweden 🇸🇪
Loving your vlogs mate. You’ve inspired me to start modelling again after a break of 40+ years. I like how you don’t have to spend a fortune to enjoy building. Suppose that comes with being a Yorkshire man lol. Keep up the good work pal
Glad to hear my videos have inspired you to start modelling again Even though I can usually afford most things for model making I still try and find the cheapest and yea it's probably my Yorkshire upbringing lol
Lovely job you've done there, your Spitfire build made me get that particular kit (working on it right now) and also the other ones that Aldi's had in stock. So nice to see Airfix kits with level of detail. Ive just finished a rather janky F-14A from 1976 and yeah...that was abit of a struggle. Really enjoying the Spitfire and im sure i will enjoy the ME109 when i get to it. Keep up the great videos!
Great video. Enjoy them all. Hope you don't mind me asking but how did you mask off the cockpit? I've tried pieces of foam sponge but that didn't work.
i use a bit of sponge to protect the area around the stick and then i use a peice of blue tac to fill in the rest works a charm most of the time but sometimes i may need to do a tiny bit of touch up if any paint has crept past the blue tack
@@yorkshiremanmodels Thanks very much for that. I'll have to give it a go with my next build, which'll be one of the Aldi/Lidl Airfix starter kits. Keep up the grand work.
Hi, nice job!, but I don't get it why almost all modellers are using extra thin glue for the big pieces, which need from my point of view a much stronger bond, rather than a supperficial one!? For me, it happend to drop a model on the floor and not shatter into pieces, because I used revell contacta for ex.
Cheers pal Honestly I think its because the extra thin works so fast why most most use it but I do agree it's a thin bond easily broken if not careful It's why I try and use a bit of revell for large parts
Working on this now as my first model. Your video is great!
Awesome! Thank you!
Looks great. As for the gun sight, it looks like the 'carpet monster' would not be denied!
too true and that carpet monster has eaten a lot lol

i lost the back wheel on mine i orederd other kits for the back wheel replacment just to change my mind and build them kits lol
if you contact airfix spares department they will usually send replacement parts
Hm... Where is swastika?
Sadly you do not get one with this kit
Airfix never include them.
