I went back and played this game recently. Even though there is no one in my country still playing and the only servers I could get on had me playing with 300 ping I still enjoyed playing just as much as I did when I was younger. Just an awesome game.
Allegedly Activision are releasing all the 2009 maps as an update to mw2 (next gen) since there is no COD release this year 🙏 Its the only reason I bought the newest game tbh.
That's awesome! I'm so so sad my ps3 broke :( but watching this little playback of the campaign had me just as tense as my first time :)) such a dramatic but cool story, and my God the missions make Michael Bay flicks look like child's play.
This game truly had the most epic missions of any CoD campaign.

0:28 The recruits your showing how to use rifles are actually Afghan Army or ANA. You can tell by their uniforms and helmets. ANA troops were notoriously incompetent so showing them how to do basic drills is actually pretty realistic and an amazing detail for a game from 2009.
2021 foreshadowing
Thinking about this game literally sometimes makes me emotional. I just remember hearing there was a snow day at school, so I’d set my alarm at 6 am and play this game for literally the entire day. All the “UAV” private lobbies. The maps. The guns. The camos. Man cod fell off so hard

I’ve survived multiple plane crashes. 50 were in Los Santos, a few happened out in the ocean, and the majority happened in Blaine County. Those were crazy experiences but all were caused by either skyscrapers being in the way of one of the wings, terrorist pilots, or ill advised accidental use of the Y button.

actually the OpFor are not Afghan in MW2 as they speak Arabic while the regular Afghan Army speaks Pashto (Language spoken by the majority of Afghans alongside Dari) in game

I kept getting videos from three years ago on my feed and I subscribed as I loved the fun banter. I was excited to see a fresh video post on my feed. The seemingly natural fun and excitement has been removed from the banter and now appears to be read almost begrudgingly from a script. I hope Peli is ok and just suffering from temporary dehydration.

Mw2 is a special game to me. I remember having Mono in highschool and was able to leave school whenever I wanted to if I "felt sick". I used to go home and play mw2 all the time.

The attention to detail in this game is unreal. It really captures the milieu of inner St Louis during the warm months. Also, shoutout to the developers for predicting what the Jan 6 invasion of DC would look like.

I’ve always told people and truly believe that Halo 3 (2007) and MW2 (2009) really transformed the FPS World and honestly the gaming world in general. Those two really seemed to also explode the console world, probably more so with MW2. I remember when it first came out having the excitement to unlock everything and seeing all the camos and stuff. Campaign was probably one of the best alongside MW1 as well.

I was in a commercial plane crash two decades ago, the way the US rallied around my poor flight experience was inspiring but I do feel bad for those towers.
As a commercial airline crash survivor, it’s really fun, especially when the annoying kid gets ejected out of the windshield.
What was cool about the MW2 campaign is that it fits easily on a 12min youtube video.

I survived a plane crash once. It was honestly though a quite lackluster experience as instead of crashing in the middle of the jungle and having to eat each other to survive, we just crashed on a grandma's house not even killing her.
