I live in South East Qld and had been fighting a major infestation of curlgrub and army worm. I got ahold of the acelepryn GR when you featured it last year ( last September). Lawn is 100% recovered and now applyed every 6 monthly. Thank.
I think I f’d up..kinda. I put granular acelepryn and then I sprayed Spartan followed by 6mm of irrigation but I just realised in the Spartan booklet it says no to blend it over any dry granular material. I wonder why, I watered it in afterwards. Both say to put down 6mm of irrigation. Hoping they are still effective
Love watching you videos mate. So if I have just noticed I have a infestation of army worm now in February in Perths scorching heat what else would you recommend using? Much appreciate the help
Hi @LawnTips. I’ve been enjoying watching a few of your videos. I’m here in Newcastle NSW (coastal) and have had issues last few seasons with my Kikuyu - everything from army grubs to black beetle and most recently mole crickets. I’ve just been using Baythroid which is reasonably effective. I wanted to try Acelepryn and wondering if I buy it now should I apply it in December, and agin in March?? Anyways what’s your recommendation on timing of Acelepryn application for my location for a full calendar year starting now. Much appreciated. Sean.
I know this is an old video, I’ve just used bifanthren to kill the bugs on the front lawn, I’m concerned about spraying it on the back because of my dog. I also plan to use Acelepryn once the grubs are dead to prevent them coming back, as it may be safer than having to kill them once they are in the soil. I’ve also put down mancozeb out the front, again worried about using it out the back. Do you have any advice on how these may affect the dogs thst run roll eat lick the grass? Perhaps once the grubs are gone Acelepryn is safe? And any suggestions with the mancozeb is kody welcome. Thanks!
Hey Ben! I'm in North Western VIC and just getting my Acelepryn GR delivery today - had to wait for stock, then delivery delays thx to lockdown. Am I too late to apply for black beetle?
Is it safe on new lawns? I am putting down 200m^2 of wintergreen in a week. I had issues of army worm going through my current turf at the start of the year.
Thanks again. Your weather is similar to Canberra so I'm tracking all your advice very closely. On your recommendations I've got chemical-serious - 10 days ago I ordered, received and spread Acelepryn two hours before 14mm of the good stuff. Woot!! Now to deal with the various weeds in my RTF. I'm watching all your vids and am working out what to do and when. A calendar of chems/fert would be super useful. 🤔 I'm about to cough for some Barricade and have Kamba ready to go this weekend. You'll find me on a deck chair impatiently watching it transform before my eyes. 🙄🙄🔎🔎🔎
Army worm was terrible here in QLD Feb/March 2020. I had to spray grub killa twice over 200 sqm and they were everywhere. Might get on this product for summer season!
Bee safe! I can confirm, I use it on my TifTuf around my hives and never had an issue and I'm sure it knocks out Aethina tumida (African Small Hive Beetle).
When would be the best time to apply in northern QLD as it is dry season now, Army worm usually show up around late January early February , not sure when black Beatle start in the northern regions, Last application of aclypryn was mid June Cheers
I’m just coming into fall, i’ve been cutting ever other day / every few days through the year. Should i keep up with the regular cutting through winter or let the grass grow?
Gday Ben, thanks for all your videos. They are great. I live in Grenfell and I'm working on growing some Munns Kikuya from seed. It also has Perennial Ryegrass mixed in. What would be the best Fertiliser for my grass? Some seeds have come up but others haven't yet. Thanks very much Steven Hay
I’d be using a starter fert at the moment man! Something like 2SPEC establish is a good start. If you want something local, looking for something close to a 10-10-10
Oh how I wish we could use it on domestic lawns here in the uk! It's approved for Horse racing and golf courses where it does financial damage.. but us mere home owners are not permitted to buy it.. or any others. So we practice other methods... ahh well... where there's a will there's a way
Love watching the vids. Starting out as a greenkeeper in the uk and have a project lawn with fescues and bent that is becoming my baby. Just gotta see to the leatherjackets that munched my last lawn🤬 black sheets and a shovel I think as insecticides are all banned here!
Got keen when I saw an insect control lawn tip vid. YO MaTE. I would be interested to hear your thoughts on ants in the lawn. Doesn't seem like you ever have any issues with them? What's the best/your preferred way to deal with ants, cheers.
Most are pretty good! You’d want to be careful with some of the other insecticides and with herbicides you just want it to dry out before you let pets back into the area.
Too late to buy now for central coast NSW? Too late a stage for the little Witchety grub looking things? It’s been so dry. I like that this is bee safe.
@@LawnTips Ah ok nice I went back and watched them. It's quite funny seeing the state of your lawn when it was all installed hahaha!! So it has a pressure switch that switches the pump on when the irrigation valve opens and the water pressure drops?
I know what a worms and grubs are so needless to say you lost me sir. I’m gonna have to research and see if the bugs you mentioned even exist in Oklahoma 😂😂
@@LawnTips The drink.... I had to Google 'Milorginite'. Next time I'll say 'Ovaltine'. ( p.s. I ordered a 20 kg bag of Oxa Pro from your website on Sunday evening. It arrived in 2 days. Thanks so much Ben ! )
Thanks all for watching! I do sell it on my website here if you are interested: www.lawntips.net/insecticides/acelepryn-gr-10kg
Hi Ben what setting did you use the earth way on to put out at 1kg per 100sqm?

Between your house and your neighbours, tou've got the best lawn. Sweet!

Hi Ben, is there a cheaper version of this that i could buy from Bunnings? Thanks

is this available anywhere in smaller quantities? i’ve only got a small back yard with 50m2 of turf so that 10kg bag will last me 10yrs 😂
what brand of grass seed do you use?

Had some delivered a couple of weeks ago and it's now scheduled in the "lawn journal" app! Loving the mid week vid FYI.
Can I use acelepryn on new lawn? If not, how long should I wait from laying turf to apply? I don't want to miss the window
Fine to use on a new lawn! 👍🏽
Monument video soon mate? struggling to get the results from it be good for a heads up.
How long is the insta stage for both armyworm and african bettle?
Mate, how do i get my hands on this in NZ?
live in Canada, Do you guys ship to us?
Was that primomaxx in 1 litre containers I saw at the start?
Yes sir! Made a quick mention right at the end
@@LawnTips I just watched the rest of it. Ill keep my eyes peeled!

Excellent Vid mate, and love Syngenta products.
Keep up the good work buddy ⛳️
Thanks legend 🤙🏼
Good tip Ben. Most synthetic pyrethroids will knock out Black Beatle. Lawn Solutions have a spray-on solution which I have found works well too.
Just wondering Ben can you put down on recently reseeded lawn? Cheers buddy
You sure can mate!

Tom Butcher just use a nematode, spray it on. Only kills the pest and completely safe for everything else.
Thanks mate. Great info. Love LAWN TIP
you should do a fertilizer bag tapping asmr video! 😂
oh no 😂😂😂😂
Not a bad idea 🤔😂🤣
Lawn Tips you liked my comment no way 😂😂
I'm feeling it... everyone gets excited by putting product down. but that would honestly creep me out so bad.
This basically was 😂

I have a few in the green actually. Fipronil is my go to man!

On a scott bonner hand spreader Ben what setting would you use please
It would be around 1-2 I’d say. It’s a pretty small prill!
@@LawnTips Thanks Ben
Can i use this on my one month old perennial ryegrass
Sure can!
Can you put it a week or two after top dress?
Sure can!
Can you make a video explaining how your bore pump runs when the irrigation runs?
I did talk about that a bit when I installed it. Did you see that vid?

Good that it won’t affect bees, but will it kill your earthworms?
Nah won’t kill the worms. I still have heaps of them doing turds on my lawn
Lawn Tips awesome!
Your very lucky to have this product! It’s banned in the UK so annoying.
When the music kicked in...I thought I was back in the 80's watching MTV :)
Dude the editing 👍
Hi Benny can you use too much in one go
Can i just say... i havent watched the video yet... but I like it already. 🤣
My man
Does it get rid of ants nests
It doesn’t unfortunately. You’d have to use some fipronil
Is it safe for worms? Don't want till kill them
Yeah it won’t harm the worms. Still have heaps pooping at my house haha
Cheers mate I'll have to get some
Learn something new 6:57 Only watch because I learn something new every video.

A good lawn to a grub is what a Johnson is to an ovulating women.
Not sure why you are wearing work boots, I’d be barefoot all day everyday on that lawn
I do most of the time, don’t you worry 😉
Yo mate!😎👊🍺☕️
those dirty grubs.
Dirty dirty dogs
The Fairbairns are trying to break into your niche, better swing down and teach them a lesson.
