Skipper, you need a crew boss on that boat. You're way to involved in the operations. On the boat I crew bossed, the whole crew would turn around and yell, "Shut up and steer!" (always with a smile on our faces, though). Send me a plane ticket. I'll get you guys better synched up than the Sydney Symphony Orchestra.

The best lesson in this video is the demonstrating the penalty for a late spinnaker takedown!

That is taking a spinnakker down. This is putting it up, 0:15 into the clip! 80 sqm or 861 sqf up and full in less than 3 sec. Old video but still good :)

    Racing sailors:
Note the spinnaker trimmer doesn't pay attention to the curl of the sail.
Note the spinnaker trimmer doesn't actively trim the sail.

Sorry for the language but I don’t give a shit if they are training or not the trimer has 80-90% of the time his head over the boom something that can cause from a big injury to death rule no1 head under the boom always from the dock to 0 knots to 30 knots the head should be protected

And to add - the grinder is facing the stern is not the best - you need to see what you are doing. Always head down and face forward. The boom is called that because thats the noise it makes when it hits you in the head. Be careful out there
