    From Jp5617. I promised a donation 3 months ago but I did not know how to do it as I remember you had a patreon before but could not find it.
    Today my kid showed me how to do it on RUclips so we are doing it from his account. 😊. Thanks again

    I service my three family cars regularly of which one is micra K12 since half a year ago. I also change cars fairly frequently - second hand and older models all of them, so I can work on them. Saying all that to point that I check loads of car repair videos but in terms of quality, precision and guidance yours are in the top tier 👏. Have bmw and Subaru also and there are a lot’s of videos for them, but thanks to you for k12 micra too. In a few days I will change a thermostat as shown here as I suspect it’s stuck open. Will definitely find time soon to drop you a donation. Thanks and happy holidays 🎉

      Little update. I did the job today. Replaced thermostat, added new coolant, burped the coolant with the funnel. Unfortunately lower hose still cold on 95 C, no heating in the cabin as before. I tested old thermostat (original Nissan) in boiling water after that and it opened. So probably thermostat was not a problem (why should it be simple ;-) Realized that I only got 2.5 liter of old coolant out. Starting to suspect clogged radiator or something of a sort. If you can think of anything, it would be greatly appreciated. @@screwsnutsandbolts

    I've watched your video about MAP sensor cleaning and you've disconnectd the battery prior to unplug the sensor. Shouldn't you disconnect also the battery before remove that plug here?

      @@screwsnutsandbolts thanks for the reply can I ask a different question I have a march k12 1.2 and recently it started giving this ignition knocking sound when I accelerate lightly but when I give the full throttle no knock sound like that. I have replaced plugs and coils did a scan and no errors but the car also sometimes puts out white smoke only when the knock sound happens. What could be the issue? I thought of replacing the purge sensor too.

      @@screwsnutsandbolts Thank you for your replay. My wife's micra, similar engine, but 1.4, makes rich fuel mixture. Using ELM327 I measured coolant temperature, and it is between 78 and 82 degrees Celsius even when I drive uphill. I don't know can this be the reason for rich fuel mixture? Maybe the thermostat is bad, or Coolant Temperature Sensor is bad.

    • @screwsnutsandbolts
      @screwsnutsandbolts  Год назад

      I think it's more likely if it's stuck in the closed position. Check this link: www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-thermostat
