Nice to see they improved from their bigger complaints from earlier generations. I had a set and the app was awful. The Bluetooth connection was spotty. Colors were bland. And I had one quit on me.
I like the wiring on the C2s better than the new C3s. The C3s you have to Splice and Tie the wires together ,and they don't give you enough wire. However they are brighter.
I’ve been looking for a set of rock lights and you convinced me with these! But I am playing on getting the 8 pod for 2 in each wheel well. If I put the box up by the battery is it safe to say I should order 4 extension for the rear lights?
Only thing I don't like is how it throws a square of light on the ground...light bars work good for creating a nice even glow around the whole truck..but that's just my thoughts
Yes and no it depends on where you mount the box really I definitely recommend getting 2-4 extensions or upgrading to the c3 and running your own power wire
Hey man I’m wondering if you could wire these lights to the wires from the amp research power steps wiring harness , all that’s coming from harness side is red and black wire. I basically only want the lights to come on when I open my door and the steps fold out
I don’t see why you couldn’t ! But if you’re going to go through All that effort just buy the color rock light you want vs doing the whole box and rgbw set up
@@camwiththeram535 that’s the thing tho I want all the colors lol. I’ll have a override switch that was I can ride with the steps down and lights on . Thanks for the reply man
I have a 1500 crew cab similar size to your truck. I noticed all the slack you had at the end, do you think I'll need the extensions, I'm thinking probably not, wdyt?
Well that's up to you. You can wire them directly or to a fuse. I wired mines to a fuse that way I don't stress about accidentally living them on while my truck is off
Hey man yea they would work without a switch but I highly recommend running it to a switch because I don’t fully trust the on and off on the app .. because it’s always pulling power and I’d hate to say yes and it kill your battery
Heck yea ! Probably one in each wheel well and then 3 on each side and one up front and one out back or 2 in each wheel And one on each side and front and rear
Kinda hard too... you wire it to the battery and run the switch inside the cab .. the harness that comes with it has all that already installed ... you just need to hook up the positive and negative
So each eight piece or four piece has its own controller and what you do is you connect them in the app and you can control them all together or separate
None of my wires were too short what I did was I placed the box right under the truck behind the driver seat like below it if that makes sense on the frame of the truck I Ran all the wires so I didn’t have to buy any extensions but if you need to you can go on MICTUNING website And by extension
How did you get both hooked up 2 one switch? I have a 8 pack and 4 pack of C2 and the guy lied and said I couldn't do both so maybe he's not as skilled as you are installing them.
Question boss man. I couldn't tell where you placed your control boxes? Seems like their under the truck, but how did you connect to the batteries cause the fuse wires are pretty short lol based on what I have.
@@camwiththeram535 nice. K I'm not big on electrical stuff you give mena run down on the wire you used for extension? And did you use a quick disconnect to connect the ends? And tips would be helpful bro.
So no joke I literally just used red and black speaker wire I think about a 12 gauge speaker wire cut the ends off of the wire with a fuse on it run it to the battery because the fuse needs to be close to the battery then I connect the wires ran the wires to the switch in the box and then ran to switch inside the truck

Am I doing something wrong because I’d really like these fucking $159 lights to work.
Got the C2 last week having them put on tomorrow. Doing 2 per wheel well. Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Thx for your video bro it helped me pick the best rock light's for my truck.
When you turn them on and off and the cab switch does it remember the last colour selected? Thanks
Yes, I have them, they remember the last selection.
For the screws can you go with a #8 diameter and a 3/4” for the length or would you go for #10 3/4” or should I try to find #8 1”
I’ve been looking for a set of rock lights and you convinced me with these! But I am playing on getting the 8 pod for 2 in each wheel well. If I put the box up by the battery is it safe to say I should order 4 extension for the rear lights?
If you want to do it that way get extensions I have my box under the truck
I have a crew cab raptor I just want lights on the wheels do you think the 8 c1s would be bright enough?
I have a set of 8 new ones but i don't know how to connect the new set to the old set
What's the difference between the c2 set and the q1 set? They look identical
Cool video thanks
Only thing I don't like is how it throws a square of light on the ground...light bars work good for creating a nice even glow around the whole truck..but that's just my thoughts
Can you dim the lights if needed
Do the wires reach to the back of the truck? For the rear rocklights?
Yes and no it depends on where you mount the box really I definitely recommend getting 2-4 extensions or upgrading to the c3 and running your own power wire

The c2 8pc kit, do you get 8pc of the curve rubber pieces and 8pc of the flat rubber pieces?

you convinced me on these rock light i have 12 c2 lights. how would you set it up on f150 crew lifted?
Heck yea !
Probably one in each wheel well and then 3 on each side and one up front and one out back or
2 in each wheel

question... Can you swap out the C1 lights and hook up the C2 lights to the C1 controller?
They have separate controllers to control the bigger lights
How would I connect a 8pc and 4pc together to run off on one switch
You have to cut and splice wires
Is the Bluetooth Controller safe to put inside the engine bay?
Yea just try to put it somewhere away from heat
I have a question is one C2 lights bright enough for all of the wheel well covers?
Well it’s bright I give it that ... but to be honest I’m not sure I’d say yes but it may not be what you want two is better
Would you say running just a single c2 in one fender is enough ?
It’s bright enough yes I just wanted super crazy bright so I did 3
Nice video! Thinking about getting these for my 04 Yukon xl but not sure how many to go with
Lavish Lex I would go with at least eight
Right now I have 20 on my truck and it’s insanely bright but eight is more than enough
CamwiththeRAM do you have to get a separate battery or upgraded battery for all those lights?
Lavish Lex same factory battery .. they are led they don’t pull much power at all

4 of them to make things beater
