Anyone else realize that Leonidas is the most powerful Bakugan in the game, story-wise? Think about it; Leonidas defeated all of the Brawlers' EVOLVED Bakugan, while he was in his first form. Anyone else agree?

Well he was comprised of all the negative emotions of God knows how many Bakugan were sent to the Doom dimension.
It makes some sense that he was this overpowered in his first form alone
The Otaku Dragon Slayer and if you consider the nonets and their mechtogon from the 2nd arc of the 4th season which very few people like it makes sense that Leonidas is op also is it me or does the new core dragonoid from the new line looks like Leonidas’s ball form

It does sadden me Leonidas, Vladator, Drago, and Naga are the only talking bakugan in the game.
Damn... the main character seems so mature when he loses Leonidas. He evens snaps at Mardock and goes full father figure on him.
A partnership is always a two way street. Just like how the player changed Leonidas into a more mellow Bakugan, Leonidas helped the player mature and toughen up. They both grew and learned because of each other. Really interesting dynamic.

Well uh... sorry to say, but Bakugan seemed to be marketed towards boys, so the studio that made the game didn't see the need to make a female counterpart. Of course, you could probably mod the game to feature a girl model and voice.

What I loved about this game is that it felt like an actual episode of the show, I just wish they made some sequels set in the other shows (I would've loved to see Leonidas get a couple new evolutions and some Battlegear)

I love the fact that Leonida's character development is far better than most of tv characters
@Hattan AlShutaifi as he appears once again in the game and is now getting a toy. Next step is going to have to be him making it into the show as this isn't like the old Leonidas from Sega this one most likely will appear in the show. I mean he has to, he is a fan favorite and most people would like to see him in action

Imagine there being other Bakugan games like this where the protagonist continued fighting alongside the Brawlers, with it telling the events of New Vestroia, Gundalian Invaders, and Mechtanium Surge, with each time Leonidas evolving.
There could be a form of yin and yang between Leo and Drago
I remember someone making a comment. Go on Deviantart and search for Abyss Leonidas. The comment talks about that in the video game Universe, Leonidas is Dharaknoid’s descendant. Yes, that means he takes Dharak/Razenoid’s place, except a good guy through and through. Gundalian Invaders is a bit different as someone mentioned in that comment since Neathia and Gundalia doesn’t exist in that version, what takes place is a Bakugan Interspace World Championship.
I then made a comment than in the video game’s version of Mechtanium Surge, Mag Mel and Razenoid somehow survived from The Final Takedown, and he arrived in the Video Game universe. When he found out about the Player and Leonidas, he feels insulted and outraged that these two are the ones who took their place in this universe since Leonidas is Dharaknoid’s descendant, and disgusted that they are friends with Dan and Drago.
Both I and a friend actually have a (still in the works) fan-fiction that does that and more only the stories play out a little differently. But leonidas is even more powerful than he is in the game mostly because he’s an attribute changer like preyas only better and has more evolved forms.

ChipperStreams To be fair, the Darkus characters voice actors at least voice 5 different characters. It's so stupid when you think about it.
And Bakugan is notorious for having the same voice actors. They're almost as bad as English Dragon Ball, but that's just Christopher Sabat voicing 60% of the cast.
I mean, they kept like 3 of the voice actors from the original series into the reboot. Tiko is voiced by Helios.

29:10 The 1st game was the best game because the main character had a voice actor, the legit voice actors of the battle brawlers were in it, and the main character had a main OP bakugan, and to top it all off it had one BADASS ending
It just feels like the childhood dream of every child and fan of Bakugan battle brawlers.
We always want to be a part of the Bakugan universe and be a part of Battle Brawlers.
The plot of the story is magnificent as well. It honestly feels like an episode straight out of the series, with us as the Sixth Battle Brawler.

I played the ds edition of this game and I never thought there'd be voice acting. I knew the wii version would be way better, but this brings out so much.
I bought the DS version back in the day, and I still regularly replay it to this day.

Well the lesson that your character gives to Marduk about moving on even if you lose your partner is sort of ruined when you get your bakugan back and he gets nothing other than a minor taunt from the player
Edit: apparently I missed a shot of a purple ball floating off screen during the final cutscene with the character and Leonidas. Although I still believe that’s just to represent like his spirit or something.
And also vladitor still being in marduk’s team during matches after story mode. Well the devs needed a strong darkus monster for Marduk
He gets him back at the same time you get yours if you look there's a purple glowing ball rolling off the screen
I think Marduk eventually gets a Reaper as his new guardian Bakugan since Vladitor is gone, I think it makes sense
Kinda wish they would remaster this game and release it on pc and modern consoles

I prefer Leonidas as a Pyrus Bakugan. He looks more badass and he deserved to be in the original series as Vladitor.
I'd say Leo was better as Darkus cos he causes no overlap with the brawlers.

I think we can all appreciate how much effort they put into this game. It had a pretty good story, phenomenal voice acting, you could choose to play as any attribute, and even if the battles weren't ever too hard, they still managed to keep you on your toes. This was a game I wasn't expecting much from and it exceeded all of my expectations.
I use him in Pyrus & Haos (Haos cus I following Leonidas in his cards)
This is my childhood. While not the first game, Bakugan was no doubt one of the first anime’s I ever watched. And I played far too much of this game. I don't regret that at all.
I was always a Pyrus Brawler. I could never be anything else. Subterra, Ventus, Aquos, Haos, even Darkus. Darkus was probably the closest attribute I had to a second option, but I was always Pyrus. As I grew up, I got smarter. I never beat the Bronze Tournament. Then, I got the game on Xbox, due to finding this video a couple years ago. (Like, 4 or something) I finally beat it, overcoming that ultimate challenge at that time for me (I think it may have just been a game crash that constantly happened, cause I feel like I did beat it, but could never battle Vladitor). I grew up, and as I battled through the other tournaments, I grew up as well. And when I beat the game, I knew that there was only one Bakugan I could ever call my partner. And that was Leonidas.
Leo and I are a great team. We took down both Vladitor and Masquerade and won, and we had to figure out how to win on our own. But as we rose higher, we crushed all opposition and took first place. I still hold those battles we fought together deep within my heart. No matter how cynical I may become, I will always have my partner Leo at my side. And we won't ever give up!
(secretly glad that the tournaments after the Tag Team they weren't Tag Team (I lost only twice through my total battles, both from the Tag Team Tournament because of that stupid give 300 G-Power to the Bakugan who landed first gate card combined with Level 2 Power Battle (Worst. Battle style. Ever. The AI cheats like hell, never failing, and you get hardly any G-Power, yet they get 100s in seconds while you get 50 in 5 seconds and lose 100 because it forces you not to do anything, yet they continue to get more even when they aren't allowed to)))
Not sure if I prefered the text-based speech and dramatically watered down cutscenes of the DS or the half-hearted voice acting and fully animated high quality cutscenes of every other console.

I played all elements of leonidas in the games but my favorite one is darkus its so cool
I think Pyrus is the coolest but darkus makes the most sense since he was created in the doom dimension
For me I think Haos is coolest idk why it's the element of Leonidas I chose
Mine was originally supposed to be pyrus but I accidentally clicked on subterra instead but it’s grown on me. Besides I always affiliated darkus as an evil element when i was younger.

I think that moment at 1:11 is a lot better than the one in the DS version, because this one, you can't see him, though in the DS version you can clearly see him, so this version made me a lot more excited to see what he looked like.
I feel like Leo being clearly visible in the DS version adds to the mystery in its own way, since the design is so vastly different from any other Bakugan, and you only see it for a split-second. It gives the player that sense of “Wait, what am I looking at? Is that a Bakugan? Oh he’s gone now. What just happened?”
At least, that’s my take on it, having been heavily invested in the show prior to picking up the game.

The scene with Leonidas transformation is for me one the badass power up scene i've ever seen, plus the end with the music clearly make you feel pity for Vladitor at the end. Truly a masterpiece

I’ve only played the DS version of this game, so I had no clue the console versions were more definitive in the cutscenes as they’re fully voiced, and even have music tracks from the actual TV show, but it’s nice to know about this now.

I remember this game being fun as hell. Only thing is, your choice of attribute can REALLY make a difference at certain points in the game iirc, and I remember picking Haos...yeah, let's just say I more or less picked hard mode for the final boss.
Luckily, you can buy other Bakugan to change up your strategy.

i will always remember this game fondly i had such a blast playing it. It really sucks this was the only Bakugan video they made the story mode actually wasn't that bad and the Arena's were SOOO COOL!

Damn, I literally grew a friendship with Leonidas even though he is a fictional character.
I really like Leonidas, he is powerful but without the help of the player, he could not defeat all of his enemies. Especially that last battle, phew, really talking about how the player and Leo bonds that made them beat Marduk and Vladator.

If they made sequels of the games; here is what I think they could do.
Season 2 could show the Player and Leo arriving on New Vestroia and decides to help the brawlers, even freeing a Mechanical Bakugan with the brainwaves of a living Bakugan implanted within. Could show them fighting the Vexos to free the Bakugan and stop a new threat.
Season 3 could show Leonidas and the player being brought to Nethia after encountering Fabia in Interspace. They agree to help but learn Leo is not known within Code Eve's database due to his origins in the Doom Dimension. They would then search for answers about his origins and fight Gundalia to receive the answers; even agreeing to take on the evolved Titanium Dragonoid to earn the truth.
*Edit*
Season 4: (Pt 1) could show the Player receiving Marucho's distress message and making his way to Balugan Interspace with aid from Spectra. There, the player finds he's Leonidas acting strange and eventually witnessing the birth of their Mechtogan. Leonidas and the player must fight friend and foe alike to figure out what's going on and stop the evil force known as Magmel.
Season 4 (Pt2) could show the Player and Leo spending time in Bakugan City when encountering Wiseman and the Nonets by mistake. From there, Leo must aid the Brawlers in stopping the attacks from the new enemies as well as a strange spirit that has been haunting Leonidas since his first encounter with the mutant Mechtogan.
Unfortunately that's not what we get but this could be a good fanfic plot to read

One thing i love about this game is either in every console,their gameplay and story are the same heck even some of brawl animation look the same. Basically when it comes multiple console (back in the day) they always have a different story, gameplay.

Yeah, battle royales in this game are horrific. Easily the hardest part of the game regardless of element.
@@MemesToa the Subterra one was especially difficult because it was hard to get a good launch with the terrain if you didn't have a Subterran Bakugan. I tried the story with almost every attribute and could never beat that Battle royale

It would be awesome if Leonidas was cannon to the actual series instead of just the game. Honestly I like old Bakugan series than the 2023 series. I do go back to watching the old Bakugan series once in awhile, the only Bakugan thats missing is Leonidas even tho he isnt cannon to the series
I also made Leonidas a Darkus type so I could be the missing type in the brawlers since it did always bug me in the original series they didn’t have Darkus for most of the first season and they always made the type the villain in every season

Ever wondered what attribute Leo would have been if he were in the anime? I'd say haos (cos of his character and ability cards) or Darkus cos if hydranoid were still evil, Leonidas could b the Darkus member of the team. Plus I used Darkus in my first ever playthough of the video game to avoid any overlap with the brawlers

A real trip down memory lane. Such an amazing story in a great game, I'll definitely play it again someday.

The worst part of this game is the players customization choices are severely limited. The idea of Bakugan from the Doom Dimension is a neat idea but doesn’t go very far. I’m surprised the anime didn’t think about having Bakugan born specifically from the Doom Dimension. Other problems include Bakugan that are not in the game (Rattleoid, El Condor, Bee Striker, Wormquake, Mañion, Tuskor and Ravenoid).
I’m fairly sure there is a way to get Manion and Ravenoid in the game, somehow. But yeah, where’s my man El Condor at?
Ravenoid and Manion are available, but only in the Special Collector Editions.
