most of the time when you hear these tunes the video compression and age or copying or ripping off cd or any number of other things all fuck it up but these are sounding so good it feels like i can actually listen to what it would've sounded like back then, such a huge thing for this older stuff, i appreciate you old rave heads who appreciate all aspects of this culture that i never got to be apart of apart from late night RUclips dives. you are preserving one of the greatest turning points in history and i appreciate the shit out of you mate for putting it into a digestible format, it's hard to get into this stuff if you havent been a part of it, modern day rave music is insane in a lot of ways but there is a certain feeling that seems hasn't been recreated

Missed sterns! The main reason being that golddiggers was 18 miles away and my mums! Great times! The best thing about diggers was that it was owned by Richard Branson in the 80s and he spent a fortune on it. Pop art decor and stunning sound and lighting!
Great mix. Love this early 90's hardcore. Only had a few tapes from this era, was before my time so all these tunes are new to me but enjoying them massively. Love your uploads Jake, only stumbled you today and have ploughed thru about 4 episodes already. Great stuff. Nice one for putting this together and reviving the hardcore vibes.
I never had the pleasure of visiting Sterns back in the day. Always remember the in-ter-dance flyers though…..properly regret not going there now after watching this. You can feel the love you have for this place and I couldn’t help smiling as you reminisced! Feelings all genuine ravers get when they look back at those times!! I did a basic one as my first video on this channel. It's already looking pretty dated (which is always a good sign of improvement 🙂). There's some good tunes in that vid though. I'll probably do an update Impact episode some time in the future, with a nice mix set.

Made me think about a night I used to attend in Scotland called Nosebleed which was my Sterns. Lenny Dee played regularly at both & without being booked by Mensa he probably wouldn’t have gone on to be such an important DJ to the hardcore scene.
