Thanks for the great video! I'm curious whether you have a workflow for integrating notes made by Kindle Highlights with notes made by the Book Search plugin?
I don't know if you are going to be dedicated to making videos about obsidian till it dies but so far you are doing a good job. Keep going. Are you going to talk about canvas soon
Obsidian is a big passion of mine, but I have a lot more that I want to share! I actually will begin uploading more non obsidian content as many have suggested as well! Starting with the next video, in fact. I am waiting for canvas to mature to make a video on it. I've been using it daily and the potential is there, but I don't usually do videos on brand-new features as a lot might change before it comes out of beta. I also don't just want to do an “overview” of canvas, but instead show how I'm actually using it.
Thanks again for your thoughtful, well organized, and clear content. I’m curious about how you feel about how the use of AI particularly Gpt-3 will affect content creators’ authenticity? In my opinion, there’s an ‘event horizon” with audience trust and surveillance capitalism - AI sits on our timeline right now as an additional source (an input) vs an active part of parsing vault data and creating - I will never feel comfortable sharing my vault data completely - via AI API in obsidian or elsewhere. Your thoughts?
I'm new to these note taking software, I started learning logseq, but after watching your video it seems obsidian far superior software when it comes to daily tracking and many more things. Plus the yt tutorials for obsidian are great compared logseq.
Instead of "Paste URL", I've found "Auto Link Title" to be extremely handy with copying (or drag-and-drop) web links into my notes. Otherwise, thank you for this great video!
just installed obsidian and managed to export all my notes from onenote, really looking forward to using this software, and your videos is the best ive found on learning to use it - thanks man, you deserve this sub!
Hi Sergio, Auto Link Title is mush better than Add URL into Selection cause it does it and also can retrieve the web page title if you don't have a text selected.
@FromSergio You once pointed out that all plugins are not safe interns of privacy, which also suggested by official Obsidian team. But are these plugins which are mentioned in these videos, safe? In terms of privacy?
No plugin is 100% safe but they offer too much functionality for me to not use them. If you absolutely require 0% risk then community plugins should be off the table.
dude u r so good at explaining this obsidian app im so new to it and im not gonna lie obsidian is kind confusing at least for me and u do great job at explaining things now i have problem regarding data view when i do from folder it shows all note including the ine with type or location my question is how i can show only note with yaml header on them insted of all note in certain folder
Hey Sergio. Is there a way to pass in some arguments when inserting a template in a note? Use case: let's say I want to have a template in which I put in RUclips embed code. When this is inserted in a note, I'd like to paste the URL of the video as the value of a fill-in or token in the pasted content of the template. QuickAdd plugin perhaps?
I cant wait to see more open ai integration with obsidian. The future of human thought rests with these two tools working in tandem with our fleshy meaty bits rattling around in our skulls. Add in nueralink and we have perfection.
> The future of human thought rests with these two tools working in tandem with our fleshy meaty bits rattling around in our skulls. That was poetic! Loved it
Nice video! There are some plugins I need to explore! I have a question though to your overall and daily workflow. Do you ever experience any typing lagging issues? Recently, when I am using it will start “lagging” when I am typing or deleting. I will be looking out for your dashboard video 🙌🏻
Hi Sergio please can you tell me how you did to install the space repetition plugging in ob because it is not installing from the community plugin button
I would argue that the "recent files" plugin is just a worse version of the built-in "quick switcher" feature. I say worse because 1) quick switcher shows the same recent files, but it excludes the file you are currently on, which is a good thing, and 2) quick switcher can also be opened and operated via keyboard instead of just via mouse (much faster).
I was sure I asked this and it's gone somehow but I'll ask again (maybe RUclips deleted the comment because I sent it with imgur link?) on 9:17 you scale the trackers somehow to be fit into the Dashboard, I'll be glad if you could navigate somehow how to fix it because in my Dashboard it is bugger the grid. Thanks ahead :)
You are probably using each tracker on the same sublist which is why they are shown in list form. Make sure to place each tracker at the top of a list. Like so: # header - Tracker 1 (no sub lists) - Tracker 2 etc If you put them all under the same list it'll render as one big list and not in a horizontal line. Hopefully this helps.
I'm the wrong person to ask, as I don't even have obsidian installed on mobile! Choose whatever you're most comfortable with, that's what's most important!
I get the "unable to Create new file" pop up error mesage every time I try to create a note clicking on a day on the Calendar ... has it happened to anyone else?

I don't actually, but that could be a cool project!
Thanks. Great work, as always. Informative and effecient.
Glad you enjoyed it :)
I have a video coming on that very soon :)
Please do the video about the macros!
I'm new to these note taking software, I started learning logseq, but after watching your video it seems obsidian far superior software when it comes to daily tracking and many more things. Plus the yt tutorials for obsidian are great compared logseq.
Super-super cool and useful!
Glad it was helpful!
Instead of "Paste URL", I've found "Auto Link Title" to be extremely handy with copying (or drag-and-drop) web links into my notes. Otherwise, thank you for this great video!
Great one, thanks for sharing, was not aware of it :)
just installed obsidian and managed to export all my notes from onenote, really looking forward to using this software, and your videos is the best ive found on learning to use it - thanks man, you deserve this sub!
Hi Volapuk! Appreciate it! Nope, still there, that one almost feels native :)
Hi Sergio, Auto Link Title is mush better than Add URL into Selection cause it does it and also can retrieve the web page title if you don't have a text selected.
Brilliant as usual! ❤
Thanks Bruno :)
Great and useful video! Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
hey, can you please make a video about the excalidraw plugin and if it is safe for the long
run?
Hey! I don't use excalidraw, @nicolevdh does, and she's made a couple of videos on it, feel free to check them out!
@FromSergio
You once pointed out that all plugins are not safe interns of privacy, which also suggested by official Obsidian team.
If I understand your question correctly you can do
```dataview
Table without ID author as Author etc.
```
I can’t wait to see how your system will change after the Canvas update. 🙂
I've been exploring it slowly and will definitely make a video on it in the future!
Thank you for this! 😄
Thanks Jake glad you're enjoying the videos! :)
Sergio great video as per usual! Curious is there something like Book Search plugin for Games or Anime?
Hi John, I'm not sure to be honest, I haven't heard of it at least!
Thank you very much!
Glad you enjoyed it :)
excellent video, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Maybe try coding with Templater?
I cant wait to see more open ai integration with obsidian.

Add in nueralink and we have perfection.

Not at all, obsidian is very responsive for me, could be related to your machine :/ My dashboard video was out 4-5 videos ago :)
May I ask - how is Projects different, for you, than just Kanban? Or is Kanban tracking but Projects is content?
THANKS !!!
Great vid. Btw, what do you know about “publish?” It’s the most confusing option in obsidian.
Although I don't use it, i'm familiar with it. What is it you're having issues with?
How safe are the obsidian plug-ins? Is there a way to validate and monitor the data accessed and do these plug-ins share data elsewhere?
I made a video specifically about that, feel free to check it out :)
Thanks! Great contents!
Glad you like them! Have a great one!
Hey sergio, new to obsidian but do these plugins affect the mobile app too? (sync)?
9:37 with the Natural Language Dates, how do I add the time? Instead of the day
Whenever I try to use "yes" or "no" in my frontmatter for Tracker, it doesn't seem to want to recognise it, only if they are 0 and 1 :/
your way to say “plugin” is the best way to say it
Very usefull :) TKS a bunch
Glad it was helpful!
Hi Sergio please can you tell me how you did to install the space repetition plugging in ob because it is not installing from the community plugin button
Great work!
Great video.
I was sure I asked this and it's gone somehow but I'll ask again (maybe RUclips deleted the comment because I sent it with imgur link?)
on 9:17 you scale the trackers somehow to be fit into the Dashboard, I'll be glad if you could navigate somehow how to fix it because in my Dashboard it is bugger the grid.
Thanks ahead :)
You are probably using each tracker on the same sublist which is why they are shown in list form. Make sure to place each tracker at the top of a list. Like so:
# header
- Tracker 1
(no sub lists)
- Tracker 2
etc
If you put them all under the same list it'll render as one big list and not in a horizontal line. Hopefully this helps.
Why would we use a Table Of Contents section when you can just use the Outline view and it updates automatically?
Thank you!
I love Obsidian, but I struggle with it on Mobile (Android). It makes me feel like for this reason Notion may be better. Any recommendations?
I'm the wrong person to ask, as I don't even have obsidian installed on mobile! Choose whatever you're most comfortable with, that's what's most important!
I get the "unable to Create new file" pop up error mesage every time I try to create a note clicking on a day on the Calendar ... has it happened to anyone else?
the way my jar dropped, when u mentioned settings search :O
:)
What is the spaced repetition video I cant find it
Thanks buddy 🙂
Would love to see an update on this video
great
How your headers are coloured?
Using style settings plugin
