I own the Hissastu and the original folder. Outstanding in both form, function and design. Extremely sharp as well. My collection continues to grow!

In regard to the comment @ :52, some people also think they're going to buy an expensive knife and it's going to be magic
No matter how 'classic' or Japanese a blade looks, no matter how deadly or specialty the press release claims it is, it's really on you.
If you think you need a special knife and that will save you, think again. It's the skill of the player, not the knife itself.
With respect to all the fetishist collectors, work on your technique first.

Thank you for the reply. I own several of the Panteao dvd's and they are excellent, definitely a good outfit to team up with. I will pick them up when they are released.

@@SystemOfStrategy Sensei. Where is the clip of you on Time Warp demonstrating internal hitting, skeletal disruption and projecting energy through a bokken? It used to be easy to find. Now the only clip up from the episode is you demoing cutting.

@@williamsmith8790 I will look for it. If I can't find it I will do another video on it in January at the Nami ryu seminar in Philadelphia.

@@SystemOfStrategy Thanks. I caught that episode by luck when it first aired and it was one of the better and few examples of someone doing internal striking and martial arts. When you hit the host you could see his complexion change. My instructor in college was a powerful internal hitter, and always spoke about guys projecting through their weapon. He theorized that was how Musashi won so many duels with just a bokken, but you were the first i had seen do it on film.

@@williamsmith8790 If you are going to hold to the high level function and principles of kenjutsu,
Dosei ittai ( motion and stillness as one), Kihatsu ittai (origin and manifestation as one), and Kobo ittai (attack and defense as one), you cannot use normal movement. Muscle flexion, preparation both physical and mental can be perceived by a high level opponent. With mutual lethality and close range, small factions of a second and subtle relationship changes are critical to survival.

I just ordered a Hissatsu and a Otanashi Noh Ken, a trainer is coming up next. The hissatsu will be carried opposite of my pistol on my first line gear and the Otanashi Noh Ken will be my new edc. I really enjoy the concept behind them, will you please post some videos explaining the use of the hissatsu in more detail? I wish to become proficient with them.

Does anyone know James combat experience, I know he served but I don't see any combat experience in his record, war he fought in and such, nothing. All his skill is based in Japanese style type of MA and that's it.

What do you mean by "that's all"?

Awesome design terrible steel i would of preferred plain ol carbon . Holds an edge way better. Then again this design is really not for cutting

That one is designed for marine tactics aka seal underwater missions. It will penetrate a torso just fine . That's is soul purpose. It's not a multipurpose tool knife it's a human meat cleaver/heart poker.
