  • Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park is a wildlife photography DREAM. As a professional wildlife photographer, I love locations that maximize my time and help ensure or even guarantee success. Alaska is truly a haven for wilderness, and Katmai is the crown jewel of it all.

    Were you able to pause the video at 6:15 and catch the salmon before it was in the bears' mouth??

    • @mountains_and_moors
      @mountains_and_moors 10 месяцев назад +2

      Nope. And I tried several times. My pause button doesn’t shoot at 30 frames like your A1 👍🏻🤣🤣🤣

    • @Nateinthewild
      @Nateinthewild  10 месяцев назад +2

      @@mountains_and_moors Haha but keep in mind the A1 only STARTS that 30 fps when you push the button. If you were too slow here, then you're too slow with the camera also. l

      No matter how many times I tried, I couldn’t catch the salmon!

    What a great video! They have really upgraded things at Brooks. When we went in 2008 they still had the floating bridge, it truly is an exceptional place.

This was a real treat.

    Very memorable. Born and raised in Kodiak, Alaska. I’ve always enjoyed playing in the woods growing up but never appreciating it until I returned home in 2016. It is where I started my photography. 😊 such a great video! It’s up with the Aurora video you made. I wonder if anyone found the lost a7siii yet. ☺️

      MAN, what is it like being from Kodiak? I've never visited the island itself but I've been to lots of sparsely populated places in Alaska and I always wonder what it's like to live there full time.

      @@Nateinthewild it’s a great place. if I had a choice and my girlfriend didn’t mind the cold. I would move back and watch my son grow up there. I learned a lot about photography from wildlife, sealife, astro (milky way & auroras), landscapes and harborscape (not much a cityscape but the harbor can be pretty. Haha). You should check it out one day though.
