after watching your aphotic video i went onto my 100 HC shadow minion necro and added it for the cooldown bonus immediately, i added aspect of shared misery to the build as well and found that EVERY SINGLE mob was perma stunned into unstoppable if they lived that long. not sure but sounds like with the aphotic bug and the iron maiden bug we might have an absolutely insane crowd control build possible. I did see a video where a guy was doing similar tests as you to demonstrate that the aspect of retribution was confirmed double dipping on damage, so may want to check into some how compiling all that into one build, just not sure what skills you use as the base for the build
These invisible fortify attacks to you can be dodged. Assimilation aspect and crowded sage aspect fortify you 10% and heal you 20% when you dodge. This scenario introduces a lot more instances for you to dodge that are self generated and also very low risk. I’m at ~80% dodge but even saying as low as 30% dodge that every third instance of fortify heals you 20% and fortifies you 10% sounds pretty good. If you have 3 skill points to place into gruesome mending for +30% healing from all sources, that 20% heal on dodge goes up to about 27%. This could be an essence battery addition with starlight “generate essence for every 20% life you heal”. Creating an instances to dodge yourself could power this while avoiding boss mechanics. I don’t build into this on my dodge build because I currently don’t want to purposely risk 20% chance of getting hit by boss just to get benefits from my dodge. These self generated instances could make that happen though!
@@R-E-D-U I experience the same thing with the dodge RNG. Even when I was as low as 30% dodge I felt like I was already dodging over 75% of the time. It feels amazing. As for the life on hit testing: I did throw on some life on hit gear last night before I logged off and didn't have any findings when hitting the training dummy. I removed dodge gear, went out in overworld , took some damage, put dodge gear back on, went to dummy, and activated bone storm. Life regenerated on hit, but no instances of Dodge occurred so that meant the life on hit isn't an invisible missile like some of the fortify instances are. That would have been insane if I could've done something with that.

I haven't been following updates closely, can you still dodge blood orbs? Like this sounds like an evolution of that whole bug. Speaking of dodge, can you dodge this damage? Like there's those two aspects (heal and fortify) on dodge. Wonder if anything interesting can happen with that. Also man, didn't know the player could be unstoppable from repeated CC effects. Like do no enemies do it often enough that it ever comes up or is it just player inflicted CCs that count towards it? Hm, guess if you wanted to you could also get chill and freeze on yourself with bloodless scream (and the aspect for darkness iron maiden), so if there's anything anyone can think of based on chilling/freezing an enemy (or being chilled/frozen) there's that. Also you say the player is an elite, so that'd probably trigger aspect of the protector? I think only conceited aspect would care, so probably not useful.

Tbh bone mages in pvp was basically broken they dont read the reduction at all compared to the rest which imo only fair if your fighting a barbarian who has more 100k hp since damn they tank my minions shot
Can I just say that these abstract modifiers aren’t just broken but thematically and conceptually bazaar. Why should a necro get barrier from its minion attacks.. it’s basically saying your skeles uber heal you, but healing should be managed and controlled through the caster’s own spells unless it is a blood minion. Otherwise it presents as lazy and even too complex to function.
This game is horribly designed within many aspects n I’m tired of us being unpaid testers. I actually support the franchise n have for YEARS but with that comes the ability imo to point out that this specific iteration is a disrespect to gamers. I feel that there r ppl working within the company making bank 💰 n being utterly useless. One example is whoever designed Pit bosses (after Tier 60). Ur channel alone has done more work for Necro than a full blown team of Blizzard employees ever can and that’s jarring. WE R TIRED OF PAYING COMPANIES TO BE BETA TESTERS! 🕺🏽

You can see the curse on the target, Decrepify slows being its only indicator is the bad part.

You know no one uses the 2nd bone mage upgrade when such a weird bug is still present. They could not only fix this but actually rework this upgrade.
So... you can have a thorn build that doesn't rely on boss hitting you, but you hitting yourself triggering thorn AOE?
Maybe it can be used to trigger Starlight Aspect consistently?
