  • So close to Liverpool Street that it feels part of the station, 155 Bishopsgate is building that makes a grand entrance. Everything from the pair of colossal bronze statues that tower over you as you arrive (Jim Dine, East End Venus), to the double-height lobby is on a truly epic scale. There are two entrances: one directly off Broadgate, one off a covered walkway running between Liverpool Street station and Exchange Square.
Drawing on the language of theatre design, Fletcher Priest Architects have created a space full of drama. Everywhere you look there are subtle nods to the stage, from the theatrical lighting to the velvet curtains.
Upstairs, the Storey spaces bear all of Storey’s signature touches. Floor-to-ceiling windows, with views over Spitalfields and beyond. And everywhere, a focus on natural, sustainable and circular materials: low VOC paints, FSC-certified oak, part-recycled carpets and furniture fabrics, biodegradable wool wall coverings.
As always, there’s Storey’s signature mix of shared spaces: meeting rooms, phone booths, banquettes, cosy nooks and a wellness room. Where every last detail has been thought through, from the mix of plants to the air quality and acoustics.
