Is ter ac cooling issues?
I do not think this is a honest review, this is the worst car to drive in bumper to bumper traffic, very disappointed with the review.
I also own Virtus Topline automatic and recently completed 10000 KM myself. I have travelled through various terrains..Cities, Expressways, Highways, hilly areas, extremely bad roads etc and the experience has been simply superb. I have been travelling with my wife and 6 month old baby, and the comfort has been amazing.
Bro, kitne monthly income honi chahiye family ki (me and my wife) tab aisi cars kharidni chahiye? Right now , we earn around 15lakh combined annual and thinking of buying this car but not sure. Can you tell more? Ehats the mileage?
@@rameshshinde1193 - shouldn’t spend more than 50% of your annual income on a car.
@@shantanukumar3291 Thanks bro. Seems a good advice.
Honda city or virtus?
@@rameshshinde1193depends on what r u r priorities. Pahale Ghar kharidna hai ya car etc. Baki koi loan nahi hoga to kharid sakte ho
This car is amazing. I am driving Virtus 1.0 AT, 5000 km completed. We just look for excuse to take it for a drive. Driving this is pure joy. Covered many winding roads in ghat sections in south India. It goes effortlessly in steep hairpin bends. In usual highway, it’s mini rocket. Very few cars can keep up with this one. Drivability is superb.
Ever felt underpowered on highways.. i am seeing many comments that 1.0 feels underpowered on highways?
@@dhirendersingh539 No. Never felt underpowered. I always use IOC XP95 or Shell VPower. About feeling underpowered, if you’re trying compete with BMW X6, you’ll definitely feel underpowered. Enough power for fast overtaking. Manual mode, paddle shifters, sport mode all helps to deliver right performance. Take a test drive to decide.
Hmm.. confused between verna, city, slavia, virtus for sedans
You're so lucky man @shubhajitdutta6802
It's my dream to own virtus☺️
@@dhirendersingh539bro just blindly go for slavia/virtus

VIRTUS revived the sedan market❤
Finally after watching your reviews i bought Virtus. Let me express how your videos helped me shortlist my VW virtus Topline MT over Nexon, XUV 300, Creta, Harrier, Honda City and MG Astor
1. Build - 5/5
2. Safety- 5/5
3. Mileage- 5/5
4. Driving pleasure and stability- 5/5
5. Features, comfort and luxury compared to other soft suspension and high stance cars- 4/5
6. Service and maintenance cost- 5/5
Trust me it's affordable and parts cost is less and service is way better than other cars in this price range.
Points to consider.
1. Virtus is having 180mm ground clearance which is equivalent to XUV 300 and also it gives good visibility, good seating position and steering feedback is sharp and precise. So you will never feel like driving a big car and power is available at just pressing the pedal and it overtakes with rocket speed
2. EDL- Electronic differential locking is available on both Taigun and Virtus, which works as a partial 4X4 great boon in slippery roads, if wheel gets stuck and need power to over come such situations which no other FWD car offers in this segment
3. Comfort of seating posture, leg room, knee room, 3 people can comfortably sit on a long drive with loads of boot space, which is only available on cars like Hector and Harrier, but it's expensive.
4. My highway driving is 60% and city is 40% so opted for 1.0 MT topline which was worth every penny at that price, it was powerful enough with mileage and drivable in city. As per my requirement I didn't feel the need of Automatic or 1.5L GT version which is above my necessity as I would have to spend 2L-4L for those variants. Now i can spend the same 2L-4L amount on fuel and maintenance and enjoy long trips for 5yrs easily.
What milage you are getting? Combined city & highway
@@krprealtors2633 I completed 1200kms. I am getting 9-13 in city and 18-22 on highway and first service is not done yet as it's only 600kms driven.
@@krprealtors2633 city 8-14 and highways 18-22. Overall 18.6 got city and Highway combined where 25kms in city and 60kms on highway.
What do you think? Is rear seat good enough for 3 adults to sit for 300 kms?

Love you, man, for emphasizing the significance of safety in our lives. It's crucial to recognize that once you've purchased a car, you can't add safety features after the fact. Therefore, it's essential to think twice before buying a car, considering that it directly impacts your valuable life. Don't simply prioritize resale value and cheap features like a panoramic sunroof.
Great review & presentation. This is what sets MotorOctane apart from other auto review channels. And you point about safety - bang on. I was so tempted to buy Kia Seltos but the 3-star rating was a bummer. So narrowed down to Tata / German cars. Thanks for this review

Hi Rachit and Motoroctane team
I am a proud owner of VW Virtus 1.0L Topline
And i can vouch for this car, i have Creta and this car. But since I have purchased this car, whenever I sit in it, it gives the sense of upmarket quality and impeccable performance.
The 1.0L can reach 170-180 without any issue and Overtaking is a pleasure.
I got a discount of 80K at year end and the top model manual costed me 14.70L without RTO.
Nothing comes near and I have 4 year Service package, which means no maintenance cost.

And frankly I am fine with this .. am sure virtus will be same if not better.

I have driven VW 1L Virtus around 8500 kms in one year. Absolutely no issues, except that the AC is average. City mileage 12KMs, highway it is always above 16. I give 9 out of 10. DSG (1.5L GT) is a gem. But its reliability is still in question.

My Virtus high line is just getting ready for me to pick up on this Sunday! It’s Friday night and I’m damn excited! The test drive simply got me there. I was looking for Hyundai venue, Tata nexon, Mahindra 3xo and then I just thought let me try this one sedan when I went to test drive taigun
But VIRTUS got me! It’s something I’ve never driven before! Such amazing feeling
Full 100 points for this kind of salesman😂... carry on
I think, the 1.0 Litre engine option is provided in this car to let the middle class people feel affordable and mileage friendly vehicle. The higher the engine capacity, the more the price consumer has to pay, simple science. The sedans have an edge over SUVs in terms of boot space, comfort and feel. VW is leader in Europe, every 3rd/4th car is a VW there. If someone wants to take a feel of a bit cheaper AUDI A3, go for VW Virtus.
Hi Rachit
Is it okay for 1.0 litre 800 km drive
Do I need to worry on 1.0 litre 3 cyclinder engine for 800 km drive ?
Not at all
Downside According to me is only things, which is if you look at the back profile, the underbody parts are so much visible which doesn't looks good, the rear of the car is too much lifted.
How 1.0 L Automatic drives in bumper to bumper traffic, compared with Honda City?

Did no one notice the 3kmpl average?😅
Its from the trip start. Every time you set it to calculate the mileage from the start of the trip, it starts from 0 and slowly makes its way up to a settled average.
My average city mileage is 8kmpl. But the comfort and reliability this car provides, I have no problem with that mileage. If anyone can’t survive with 8 kmpl mileage, definitely go for other brands car which provides average driving experience.

Please make a review video on 1.5 Turbo Alcazar
Is it really that good or paid promotion biased? I felt turbo lag and little vibration at idle. 1.5 is undoubtedly a gem but cant say the same for 1l.
Bro, you shift a gear down, eliminate the turbo lag if you really want dive in, the thing is that you really need to understand the in terms of gears and their ratios and it really depends on how you shift the gears and you put the car in cruise under 1800 rpm you get good mileage age too, you have to think of the maintenance before buying the car,for me it's okay for the maintenance, you be good if you don't damage any parts and that too depends on how you take care of the car
This is a paid review, bud the lag is absolutely enormous. You don't floor the accelator to full in order to get moving
Must appreciate the localisation that VW/SKODA has made for India. First time, we are witnessing feature rich car, more leg room and decent work on interiors from VW/SKODA. I have test drove the car and it's superb. However, to match the long term reliability of Honda, VW need to prove itself for quite long time particularly on the front of maintenance costs, mileage and service experience. City has set unmatchable precedence for this segment.
@Motoractane if the safety is so important to these people, why do they give indicator lever on left hand side of the steering?? You know how dangerous it is when driving in the city with changing gears?
Dude, that’s a very valid point. I have a Polo TSI which is an automatic, never really struck me that indicator lever on left would be a pain had the car been manual! Was contemplating Virtus manual but will have to rethink now coz I sure have been in situations in a manual when I’m on the highway - one hand downshifting gears and the other hand using the indicator.
They should offer Electronic parking brake in Virtus, Slavia, Taigun & Kushaq top models

Every purchase has positives and negatives so does this vehicle. State them honestly and let your viewers and buyers make their choice by weighing down everything.
Paid content doesnt mean you cant say anything bad about the product. These kind of videos actually undermines your credibility as a reviewing channel.
Learn from people like matt watson, etc who are known in the industry for remaining true to what they do inspite of collaborations and advertisement.
The Virtus is an extremely good car, other than the quality of the plastics on the interiors. While not as reliable as Hyundai in terms of things that can go wrong, the service has improved by leaps and bounds from VW, considering the car is 90% manufactured in India. Spares are cheaper, service is also cheaper, especially with the service package. It is a much more fun car to drive, more stable on the road, while also giving some crazy mileage figures that no one expected from a VW. It is a good car and hence deserves the good reviews.
Besides that, people can post whatever content they want. You are no one to compare. If you like Matt watson, then go and watch him. No two people can be alike.

In short - it didn’t win my heart.
