The truth no one tells you: self-realization is not an event, a journey, or even an awakening. It is the recognition that there is no ‘you’ to realize anything. The eternal Self Robert Adams speaks of is not something you become-it’s what you’ve never ceased to be. The seeker and the search are illusions, a dream in the stillness that has always been here. Let this sink in: there is nothing to attain, no ego to surrender, and no karma to resolve. What remains is simplicity itself-what you are, beyond all words and concepts, shining as this.

And even crazier is that is still just an intellectual understanding of what enlightenment is. Words on a screen. I can drop bars about this stuff all damn day. Doesn’t get me any closer to living it moment by moment.

I hear this a lot. Initial awakening still feels like an event for most people. The cessation of everything really stands out from everyday experience. Even with a gradual awakening there’s that recognition point.

    This one is from:
    Transcript #149
    I Am Your Self
    April 26, 1992
I like to locate the transcript of these videos and sometimes read along.
If I’m struck by a particular passage or phrase, I’ll copy and paste it from the book and turn it into a post•it note or an alert🚨that pops up at odd times. Little reminders to-as Robert puts it - always be doing something. 😀

Thank you so much for your delicate & complex work gathering these vids together. Just a personal note, I do love the videos that move thru nature or are out in nature with its sounds vs AI images, which can often present as “cold”, static & artificial. There’s something very powerful about RA’s voice married with images from Nature (I also loved the Xmas one in the cabin w roaring fire and winds outside - that was AI, but very atmospheric and effective, and gives the viewer a powerful sense of “place”) “Two Ways to Enlightenment” was another very effective use of AI, providing a powerful sense of place and its vision expanding throughout the video, another great touch. Bravo and many thanks. Blessings for a beautiful New Year. 💕🕊️

Thank you! You're absolutely right, the ai images have a place with some videos - but they do fall short on these satsangs, whereas nature is perfect for occupying the mind enough to stop it wandering.
I love the cabin too. 😄
A Blessed New Year to you. 🙇🏻 ❤

Just beautiful comments. This work and amazing. I am at a loss for words to express appreciation for the outstanding effort. Voice is similar to Robert and captures his sweetness and eloquence. I feel truly blessed to listen to this every day and over and over. Robert was a true Jnani and his message is contemporary. His eloquence is astounding

@@msmissteri Indeed. I bless the day I found J. Wheeler. After having absorbed all his books and online talks and preparing to re-read and re-listen, I finally clicked on a Robert Adams video thinking " Who IS this guy?" Well, his words have become like manna from heaven for me. I hunger for them, so like you I listen to his talks on 🏆this Channel 🏆regularly. Thumbs up♥️
