I am right handed. I cut my hair by myself and have had hairdressers complement me on my haircuts! I have no haircutting training. I am self taught. At this point, I would never pay for a haircut, because I do my hair exactly the way I want it.

I cannot use any chemical colourants or highlighters on my hair as I have a severe allergy. So I use henna (the powder stuff you make up with water). I only put it on the roots using mirrors as you did. The beauty of henna is that you get a variation of colour (I mix red brown and black). It looks very natural. I also trim it sometimes (it’s naturally curly and I’ve had it poorly cut by some hairdressers as they don’t understand that curly hair jumps up and looks much shorter when cut compared to how much was taken off. It’s also more forgiving for a non-professional.

I started cutting my hair last year and I'm loving it. I have curly hair, it's very thin strands and lots of hair. Stylists tend to struggle with my hair and that's before managing my curls. Now that I've started cutting my hair I've gotten more adventurous and I've been able to tweak the shape if it doesn't turn out how I expected after my curls shrink. It's been great! I can't say if I'll ever go back to professional cuts.
Just cut my own hair yesterday and it's long. Super impressive that you cut your own hair with it being so short and using a pair of clippers 😱👌🏻

Righty here! So about hair though, two years ago I actually decided to organically dread my hair. I stoped brushing my super long (to my waist) thin, wavy hair and let it dread naturally but with some sectioning help. I love it, and while it’s not for everyone, it’s been super great for me! I do also cut my 4yo son’s hair. Just learning, but I love it!! Love you, girl! Keep being you!!

My dad (a hairdresser) shaved my head recently and I'm not a fan of the growing out period. My hair is starkly straight, so it sticks up when it grows from being shaved. At least there are hats and beanies ☺

I have cap highlighted my hair for legit over 15 years. It ALWAYS turns out pretty dang good and people are shocked when they find out. I trim my own hair as well 🤭 I can’t even remember the last time I’ve gotten a professional cut/color. Partly because I’m cheap BUT mostly because I LOVE doing it! Yours turned out super cute!! It’s amazing what happens when you freshen your look (especially pregnant!! 🤰🏼) congrats on #4!! Same over here!! Due in September 🍁

Looks beautiful! You may have inspired me to get a cut like that again... I've done inverted bobs on myself before (not trained, just learned from RUclips lol, using the ponytail method), and they turned out good enough for me. I also henna my own hair. Which - speaking of henna - would be fun to see you try it some time!

Makes me feel so good that as a professional, you think a novice doing her own cut & color is amazing!! LOL! Bcse I did it during quarantine for the first time & it came out pretty darn good if I do say so myself! I would say you have to be pretty into it & excited about doing it to really pay attn & be willing to learn - I watched probably over 50 videos & some of the same ones several times when all was said & done. I have to mention, as far as color, that watching Guy Tang - a well known hair stylist - in case anyone doesn't know - was extremely helpful due to his great attn to detail in explaining how color works for coloring/highlighting hair.I also purchased some inexpensive scissors & thinning shears. I was going for an inverted bob with highlights. I did do two other touch ups to my highlights since the original but It's way past time for me to tighten up my cut so I am on a quest to refresh my knowledge & be as prepared as I can. So when I saw your video I clicked instantly & it has been perfect for what I need. So, thank you for making it! And if you read this - sorry for the ramble - but your words were inspiring to me!! And now I am subscribed to your channel ♥

I'm a lefty! I like cutting my hair at home as well, I have medium length wavy/curly hair so it is very forgiving 😂 but every once in a while I like to treat myself and I go to a salon to get a cut.

I cut my hair myself and I dye it as well with organic henna, for almost four years already, the last time that I went to the salon, I paid too much money for a hair cut which I hated, so since that moment I promise myself to cut my hair myself, and also I cut my husband hair, I save a lot of money and frustration... I love all your videos!
Right handed, and honestly, I’ve only ever tried to “fully” dye my hair, and honestly, it wasn’t very good. I do want to go to the hair salon when I’m no longer pregnant and do a hair dye. That looks amazing. My hair is like yours. It’s a dark blond but it’s generally all the same colour. Doesn’t lighten up as much as it used to when I was a kid. But I’m not outside as much, especially over winter.

Righty here and 1 out of 4 of my kids are lefty. I have no hairstyling training but my mother did before staying home with kids. I colored my own hair for 20 years, went natural white with a brown underlayer many years ago (hair color was much like yours). Still experimenting on how I can enhance my lighter locks and get a little more shine. I have also been coloring my daughters hair every color under the sun which is always so much fun. I have been cutting my hair for about 2 years, first a longer layered cut and now a shorter bob. Definitely more of a challenge cutting the back short. Oh, I have been giving buzz cuts to my boys and now hubby for about 8 years, eventually learning to do more than one length. My newest venture due to covid....giving the dog haircuts, now thats a challenge.

I'm a lefty! I've managed to learn how to knit left handed, but only basic stitches. Also learning to dance I tend to put my left foot first. I do trim my own fringe, but in the way you suggest, which really is the way to go!

I had my hair shaved as well when I was 7 and was a nightmare, I got bullied so much, but guess what, that made my hair strong, thick and amazing! Now I receive compliments for my hair almost on a daily basis! :)
