Myrtle was one hell of a lady. Classy, tough, smart, kind and absolutely beautiful.
After watching the half-empty church on GH for the funeral of Robin Scorpio, I had to come back and watch this episode because I thought AMC did a wonderful job honoring the memory of Eileen Herlie and her character, Myrtle Fargate. THIS is how you honor someone who was beloved by her castmates and fans.
this was so touching.....Myrtle was a one-of-a-kind and will never be duplicated....she was Erica's 2nd mother and Bianca's 2nd grandmother (after Mona)....Zach/Myrtle was one of the last great familial/friendship relationships I've seen on daytime
Myrtle was a dear sweet lady she loved Erica she loved Jackson especially Bianca she was like a grandmother to everybody ❤️ when Erica lost Monica she was full of love
Eileen Herlie was good friends with my aunt, and when I watch this, I don't just see the actors' and characters' reactions. It's beautiful. R.I.P. Eileen.
Why everyone loved Myrtle was that she accepted people for who they were and not whatthey did and her Home was a refuge for a lot of folks who fell on hard times. Jesse, Tad, Opal #1 then played by Jill Larson, Jenny, Langley Wallingford and so many others.
Myrtle rocked!!!
Mitchell is currently on hiatus and does not plan on returning to AMC until spring or summer. He was last on in September. I have that scene up. It's under Cortlandt's 2008
Thats sad but I guess it happens to all of us eventually. I miss seeing him. So is he returning for sure or just hopeing to return?
I think there's more hoping going on than there is knwoing he'll definately make a return.
I believe that it's more old age than it is an illness.

Sorry to be like this...it just irks me to see Zack acting as if he knew Myrtle the longest....never liked that character! He got under my skin

Eric Springer Amen!!! That’s exactly how I felt when I originally watched this! I was never a Zach Slater fan he was as annoying at Ryan Lavery but Zach was only in Pine Valley by this period 4 years compared to others who have known her way longer.
