I can't agree with your criticism of this car at the 800PP level. You do not need to downtune it that heavily, if you removed the turbocharger at the end of the video you would not have needed any ballast and could have easily had more power. I have been using the Valkyrie at 800PP a lot on Sardegna especially and it is great. Not my number one car, but I would seriously put it in my top 10 and I have used a lot of cars at this level. While I definitely think more variety of events is a fantastic idea and something that Polyphony needs to implement, I don't agree that this car is ruined or useless, it's very competitive at 800PP and nowhere near as nerfed as you describe. I have actually made my own simple 800PP tuning guide for the Valkyrie on my channel, if anyone is interested in using this car for money grinding.
Surely it wouldn't be that difficult for PD to make some new championships up, they've got the tracks. Just put a few together and make 6 or so where we can use a variety of different cars, the solo game seems very stale unless you see how many different cars you can use around Tokyo, Les mans or Sardegna 😢
Completely agree 🎉🎉. They need to fix race prices and laps. From what I've seen people want more strategy in races. I pray they fix this. It would add so much replayability to the game...🎉🎉🎉
My favorite grind race and race in general is the Spa. One has to mange fuel and Tires. So much more interesting. Would be nice to see more of these races on different tracks. GT5 had a 4 hour event on Nurburg Ring. That would be awesome too. Would also be nice to see some of these races for gr1, gr2, and open wheel cars
This car is amazing to drive, the fastest road car in the game on the track its insane around nurburgring, the pp is to high so it cant be used on many of events unless you detune it, but there is nothing dissapointing with its perfomence through, but they really need to have more events for tuned roadcars and hypercars without the need to detune them
You know, this is the problem I have with a lot of cars at this performance rating. They are pretty much only useful for time attacks and personal enjoyment, not something I can really race with.
I think that they need to add a 900pp championship featuring Group 2 cars and put the international licenses to good use in this event the Valkyrie would be able to not only contend with those cars with its full potential but decimate em, it would also help if they finally add more Group 2 cars to the category like the Toyota GT-One, Panoz Esperante GTR1, 98 Porsche 911 GT1 BMW V12 LMR Nissan R390 GT1 and etc, more DTM cars and more Super GT cars.
The Toyota GT-One would be a Gr.1 car... Unless it's the 1998 version. The 1999 GT-One is as fast or faster than most Gr.C cars, actually, faster than all of them but the 3.5l V10 Gr. C cars. It's 6-7 seconds faster than the 1998 version. The Porsche 911 GT1 and the Panoz would be gr.2 yes, alongside the Nissan R390 GT1. BMW V12 LMR would also be Gr.1.
I experienced the same with Alfa Romeo 155 DTM . It was for me the best car to race at Le Mans . A walk in the park . Easy . But after a update where they changed the “ Dynamics “ the car became hard to handle and not competitive. The pick up is sluggish and cornering not precise. Pity . I loved that car but now it’s rotting away in the garage .
Speaking of the Hypercar Parade, have they nerfed the Aston Vulcan in it? When the series was first added the Vulcan was pretty hard to beat but now I can win in any old thing.
Yeah, I'm more of a casual player, so I don't think I'll ever actually be able to afford this car, as much as I would like to, but I'm with you. There needs to be more races catering to more cars. I'd LOVE to have more races built around the Professionally Tuned cars. They really can't be used anywhere unless there's no vehicle restriction at all. I think I've seen maybe 5 races that allow Professionally Tuned vehicles specifically, and you'd have to nerf them to high heaven most of the time due to PP restrictions. Hopefully PD will see comments like this and change some things!!
That would be a great time to bring back the tuner races like GT4 did and so did the other GT games even bring back the “Like the Wind” events those tuners along with engine swapped Ai racers, Group 1 cars and super and hypercars would make it an amazing event just as long as they don’t screw the payout on em either
Get on the time trials. Every 15 days you can get 2 mill per time trial if you get gold. If not gold silver is pretty easy for most and thats worth 1 mil, and having 2 time trials now you can get 4 mil fairly easily if you do some other grinding along with it. You can do it.
@@Whiterose2143that’s not grinding … literally 5 min and last over a week to get it done. If you can actually drive in this game you should get silver every single time which is 1 million credits reward. I casually play and was able to make well over 8 million credits doing this passively.
Nice video as always. It sucks that theres not much place to use this car or others like it. I would LOVE for them to reward players by giving us more than the big 4 races to grind credits. Especially since they tend to favor a few cars, mostly group c cars. Its a good way to get burnt out. I learned of this car when I got two aston invites. When looking at those invites i saw this and fell in love with the looks. Im grinding for it but had to get cars at legendary dealer and used lot. Plus getting the invite cars why they are available.
The only way to have fun in the really good fast cars is to do a custom race or arcade race. It's a shame to not be able to make much money while using a car at its best. That's what this game should be all about. That's why I was very happy that tuning no longer changes PP. At least you can drive a car that you work on to handle better, except for downforce. So you can be assured of understeer.
I Enjoy using it at the 800 setting it's very skitty at low speed. My only real complaint is it DESTROYS tyres through wheel spin even the Hards. But yeah get the throttle under control and coast more and this can post a 6min flat time on the Nurburg
I don't understand why they don't have a legendary car weekly race... Essentially every week there is a set of races that are only dedicated to legendary cars and they cycle three and here is the kicker. You actually have to own the car you cannot rent it that way it stops people just going. Oh well I won't Byatt I'll just rent it when I enter the race. No you must own the car to compete in these races and I would make the prize money very significant even if you finish last in the race maybe it's $100,000 so that way we can recoup some of the money from purchasing these cars because at the end of the day they have these online races, but there's nothing great about just racing around the circuit time trialing
The only strength PD currently has is the ability to get their name on tons of helmets and windshields. If only they put half that effort into single player and the rest. At the very least, we need events for the cars we have and a robust custom race builder. Gives us the race builder and we won't need you as much, PD, and we'll be happier because your disregard for us off-putting to say the least and no one sees you changing. You're a lost cause who will someday want more money. Lots of us will be here remembering how you treated us all after you cashed in on this game.
They're a business dummy they're supposed to make money are you ignorant?? Maybe people complain too much and want everything now you ever think that you could be more patient, it's only been one year and you act like there's no time for pd to add more content??
A race builder wouldn't solve the issue of not having enough events to earn decent credits. They build the game around collecting cars but then put fuck all effort into creating events that encourage (and allow) you to do this. Like they're honestly sitting there thinking people will just buy the credits to get the expensive cars (and then find there's no events to race them either). I sincerely hope NOBODY is paying for credits in this half arsed game.
Maybe at the grinding events, if there was a way, rather than having a PP limit the game can figure out what you are using then puts you up against similar classed cars. If you want to use a car like the '66 VW Beatle then you would be against other vehicles +/- 50 pp or if you want to use the Tomahawk you would be against other vehicles +/- 50 pp.
PP system is flawed in the first place, 550pp swapped Beetle could outrun 600pp cars, even more apparent on racing engine / very high power swapped road cars, think of the swapped builds for 700pp Le Mans
I had a similar thought. The European clubman cup is a good example (the one with the crazy tuned AI Alfa Guilia). The payout is poor and the gap from the Alfa to the other AI cars is unbelievable. @@vinching926 sure, fully agree with you on the PP mess, for want of a better phrase 👀 I'm sure the reason the events can't have dynamic payout and the reason custom races can't have better payouts is that someone will find a glitch where you can win an easy race and take home an unfair amount. It's a big shame they can't fix this as it would unlock the ability to do so much more with the events. For now, our only hope is for them to focus on adding events much more events that engage the player by having closer racing AI, longer races and better payouts. You can scrap the PP limit and maybe just add a suggested PP. That way I can select different cars and see how they stack up. Maybe even have the AI match your tyre choice as this is something else that has a big effect on racing in these events.
They really do need to make a couple more PP classes, so many really great cars have nowhere to use them at even close to full potential. Either a 900 or 1000 PP class race would be great, maybe even a couple of 650 or 750 races too so we don't have to keep nerfing the snot out of cars just to be able to use them.

I disagree. I've tasted the car in various races. Yes you have to cut down the power to make it comply. But that's how it is on real life. Look at the real 24hrs of Lemans. Cars have various restrictions to get level the playing field. Off the top of my head I think I did 4 different races in the game. One of them being the 1 hour long endurance race. So I got plenty of use of it.
I really wish Polyphony would add new weekly online races for more of the groups. 4 and 3 aren't enough. There should be weekly group 2, 1, VGT, and hypercar online races.
The Valkyrie is the most overpowered street car in GT existence, excluding the Tomahawk S since it's a Tomahawk. I have the Nordschliefe world record for both a fully tuned street car lap around Nordschleife (excluding the Valkyrie) and the Valkyrie Nordschleife world record and I got a time of a 5:42.0 in the R35 Nismo, which is now the fastest street car in the game (again excluding the Valkyrie), and my maxed out Valkyrie time is a 5:15.8. Both laps weren't perfect (a high 5:40 is possible in the R35, high 5:14 is possible in the Valkyrie), but based on this the Valkyrie is insanely overpowered. On top of that, there are also 10 other street cars that can get a sub 5:50 lap time at Nordschleife so there aren't even real outliers for maxed out street cars, it's just the Valkyrie (you could argue the Tomahawk S is a street car but no one allows Tomahawks in street car lobbies to begin with so that car essentially doesn't matter but in world circuit races it does since this means you can drive the Tomahawk S is street car only events so the Valkyrie isn't the only car that's completely breaking those events from what I know).
Its not that overpowered its much faster car than the Nissan gtr, as it should be, Nissan gtr was not even fastest before this at least not in terms of acceleration,
@@andreasmoller9798 I'm obviously not talking about straight up acceleration and I never said the R35 Nismo was the fastest accelerating street car. The Valkyrie is by far the fastest street car in a race (on normal circuits) and there's no competition at all.
I love this car whatever. I bought GT7 the day before the 1.35 update. Before that I had played GT5 a handful of times at release. As expected I was crap as a noob, I drove the Valkyrie in the challenge and instantly learnt how to drive, as it handled so well. I felt that being able to get within 10 seconds of the top GTers in the world after having only played the game for less than 24hrs (minus the down time for the update) I knew I had to own it. So blew 2 million of my deluxe edition credits and paid £16 in the PlayStation store for the final 2 million credits. A few days later Currys had exchanged £530 for a PSVR2. The valkyrie in VR is indescribable. I now can’t put the game down and as a truck driver, the last thing I want to be doing in my time off is driving. I am now off to the doctors to find out what is wrong with me. Shortly followed by the bank manager. 😂
This car reminds me how GT Sport made the Gr.X cars, which couldn't be used anywhere. It's a shame they add such amazing cars but have nowhere to use them, it takes away the appeal of getting the car for 4 million only for it to be almost uesless in a sense. PD still has a long long way to go to make this game better in any sense of the word. 10/10 for car, 1/10 for usability. PD is L company
There is a full category of cars in the game that I call the completely useless cars, the ones that can’t be used in any decent event. Unfortunately this car falls into that category along many others and most of them are really expensive with no way to get your money back or at least part of it by actually using the car.
I've been saying this for ages. Shelve the new cars/tracks until PD pads out the actual CONTENT of the game. Give us decent paying, relevant races for the damn tracks/cars that are in the game already. What is there 12 races at Tokyo and 2 at Bathurst. FYI the Aston at Monza is a great way to spend 8-10mins.
I’m a GT virgin and a absolutely love GT7 and this epic looking racing cars / vision cars. Does anybody know if I can get The A-Team van in the game or is there only one van?
8:02 No I think you still had sports softs since there's no way that your Valkyrie is 50PP less than mine while yours is fully upgraded unless it's calculating sports soft PP even though you were using racing tires.
I know these may have been added after this video but we have hypercar parade and wtc 900. That seems more than enough to justify the inclusion of this car.
Geez getting all of this power down with Racing Hards is hard. But its fun. I wish we had a controllable automatic hybrid system. Id love an overtake and recharge mode. Mostly for the LMP1/hypercars. Every car that has it i run out so quickly and then never get to recharge it back up.
I love this car! I enjoy driving it so much that I use a massive de-tune for the 700pp grind. That said, I’m early in this video, so it’ll be interesting to see if I agree with ur conclusions.
Got to the end. Yes! The fact that I massively de-tune the car just to have a reason to use it is a testament to the accuracy of ur conclusion. Fast, high-credit cars should get specialized, high-credit events. Hope Polyphony is listening to u!
First can I say the only great thing about gt7 is your channel loved your classic Tokyo vids. But the game is lost my friend. They went so far wrong that they couldn’t get back and as a player from gt1 I am gutted. Just such a shame.
@naffantait, tbh I have no problem with the Valkyrie I actually drive it alot on 800pp races and maybe my tunes are better than most peoples and I find it a blast to drive even though it's detuned I still get chills and goosebumps when I drive it, if that's not driving pleasure then what is then? I've bought every car and I know which ones are good for grinding and which ones are good for sprint races and so on, I've been seeing people b*tch and complain about everything, if you don't like it then don't play it, I love your videos but sometimes opinions rub me the wrong way and I'm not a sim racer I just drive because that's what I like doing, I drive on a controller with a custom input set-up and if anyone wants my secrets, it's not for free 🤣

Well technically they are right just like the pagani zonda R and ferrari fxx K in real world they don't have racing class that fit in its regulation
Gr,x was far worse in gt sport becouse you could only do one make races,
There is a full category of cars in the game that I call the completely useless cars, the ones that can’t be used in any decent event. Unfortunately this car falls into that category along many others and most of them are really expensive with no way to get your money back or at least part of it by actually using the car.
sell them.. that's part of your money back so yeah...
8:02 No I think you still had sports softs since there's no way that your Valkyrie is 50PP less than mine while yours is fully upgraded unless it's calculating sports soft PP even though you were using racing tires.
i am still waiting for a Honda prelude. I used to crush GT with that car.
Spa 800 is where I run it. Just for grinding. It’s OP.
I'm sick of the lack of events takes two seconds to make some events.
I know these may have been added after this video but we have hypercar parade and wtc 900. That seems more than enough to justify the inclusion of this car.
Maybe they’ll put a GR 1 VGT version of this car in the future like the Bugatti
Hypercar will come
Yeah, even Project Cars 2 is overall funner than GT7 even with each new update, month after month after month and so on.
I disagree gt7 is far more enjoyable than project cars 2
They could just make the exact same le mans race but make 800pp 900pp and 1200pp limit versions. same payout and everything.
900 &1000pp races please!
Is it me or do your replays look better than regular replays? Some of those camera angles..
Just make the endurance races replayable for credits. And you can't enter with the same car twice. Done
Geez getting all of this power down with Racing Hards is hard. But its fun. I wish we had a controllable automatic hybrid system. Id love an overtake and recharge mode. Mostly for the LMP1/hypercars. Every car that has it i run out so quickly and then never get to recharge it back up.
road atlanta is very much a race that works for the aston
I cant believe people thing this feels good to drive. I fucking hate it, I cant control it at all.
I miss the endurance races
You can't tune the downforce or the LSD to help you
I love this car!
Yes, another great car... that you can't do anything with in 'Gr3&4 only' GT7
Can you publish your whole Nordschleife lap list?
Every update makes my Nordschleife laps slower
Sounds like you need a gt world championship
First can I say the only great thing about gt7 is your channel loved your classic Tokyo vids. But the game is lost my friend. They went so far wrong that they couldn’t get back and as a player from gt1 I am gutted. Just such a shame.
I beat them the prototypes with lexus rs f.
I didn't understand what is actually ruined?
The red arrow in your thumbnail isnt big enough.
Sadly, this is one of many cars that cant be enjoyed properly
Its like real life !
This car is just horrible to drive.
All cars really
No not all cars some have great use, it mostly the high powered cars, the evo and sti that was added has tone of use
I've bought every car and I know which ones are good for grinding and which ones are good for sprint races and so on,
I've been seeing people b*tch and complain about everything, if you don't like it then don't play it, I love your videos but sometimes opinions rub me the wrong way and I'm not a sim racer I just drive because that's what I like doing, I drive on a controller with a custom input set-up and if anyone wants my secrets, it's not for free 🤣
They tend to ruin most things. Cheers from Norway's 11th fastest on Gt7. Or used to be, sold this game months ago. Sadly
Wow a company offers free dlc every month maybe try being grateful for what is already in the game..
@@truckercowboyed2638 it isn't even about that.
@@truckercowboyed2638try being grateful? 😂😂 ok dad
Mr company dad.
They’ve made aleast
450 million with GT7 not including micro transactions.
Maybe they should be grateful huh? 🤔
@@tezzabhoy1888 word. Though, that wasn't the reason I stopped either
@@andrestrandby9513 likewise the campaign or single player is so baron. For me. Compared to other GT games.
Yup. Also, first comment lol.
Was crap to begin with.
Its actully fantastic to drive, but its not usable in most cases
The brakes are absurdly bad on this car. There is absolutely no way this car has that bad of brakes in real life. Atrocious braking
They ruined the game altogether
