  • The brand new colab between Torq and Rusty in the excellent EPS epoxy TEC construction has landed. The first model in this colab is the Torq X Rusty Moby Fish surfboard. The Moby Fish is a classic long fish style board that is easy to paddle, has a broad wave range and works for a wide range of surfing abilities.
The Tec epoxy construction used by Torq in this model is as good as any other epoxy build out there, the finish and quality is unrivalled. We see a lot of surfboards and the build on this has blown us away, especially at this price point. Epoxy means faster surfing, a more responsive ride and life long retention of that performance, this particular epoxy is tough too compared to standard PU boards. Glassing is 4/4oz & 4oz under 6' 0 and 6/4oz & 4oz on any board over 6' 0.
The entry rocker is relaxed which helps with general paddling and wave catching. The exit rocker is on the fairly standard, not aggressive but there is enough there to get the board turning. The fuller outline provides lots of surface area which equals glide and speed. The rails are fuller but somewhat angular with a lower apex providing lift and control. This style of board is great for sloping waves where there's not a lot of power of shape and it holds its own in better stuff too. It will work for someone coming off a bigger board looking to progress or for a better surfer looking to up their wave count or have a more relaxed surf.

Nice one Ian, you are a legend and I hope you're good. Thanks for facilitating the shipment of my Too Fish to Portugal via Baker 👍
