At 0:02 we can see that the game is played at 200% (impossible difficulty). And as to why the AI (computer) is bad, it's just how the AI is programmed (the game is 20 years old).
These maps are custom maps with a story, downloadable from maps4heroes, and have been played by thousands of people already. There are 50% of people who like playing offline with built-in or custom maps (with a story) like this, you can't just ignore that fact. You could also refer to the comment with many likes below. 😊
Please stop the comparison with the online PvP and other provocative troll comments (but I guess these trolls/haters will just be trolls/haters, so no words will go into their heads )

the old school art design has something new games just cant compare with, no matter how good the graphics are.
the dirty, shady but still beautiful art from old games is just missing out these days imo. good graphics are nice, but nothing without passion...

Что-то мне кажется, что у компьютера там герой был слабый хоть и имел большую армию. С равным по силе героя так бы бой не прокатил.

Have you tried Songs of Conquest? A game very similar to HoMM3.
Oh I heard of it but haven't played it yet. My first impression from the trailers though, is that the artwork is a bit less detailed, and everything is a bit too "dark" to my liking.
Not sure if that'll change in the future :)

You probably could block the gate with dragonflies and destroy the catapult. That would render the death knights useless, since teleport is not available on the cursed ground. Everything else is killable easily, as you proved yourself, and DKs can be shot to death without any additional movement on your part.
How do you self-destroy the catapult on a cursed ground though ?? Use implosion maybe (sarcasm enhanced, sorry)

Actually there is a way, a bit convoluted though. Weakened enemy stacks prefer to attack war machines to avoid retaliation. But yeah, probably not worth it anyway.

A very good battle but why did you leave your dragonflies to die when could revive them? The Ai would not escape the battle in the town
It's cursed ground - you can't revive things.
And it's the final battle, I don't want to make you waste time seeing me reviving :D

great strategy... but i think this is one of the biggest problems with this game. He had a massive army, really terrifying, but you wrecked him. The AI in this game isnt the best around. The ai knows pretty well how to judge if it should engage a battle or not, when they go into battle against you its bad news, or you lose or you will have massive losses... the dread knight is powerful and he did nothing to you because he was too focused on destroying those suport units. but anyway, you did ur job pretty well !

Necromancer made lot of nonsense moves. With the necro army he should not have problem to defeat the alien.

I'm also aware that there are maps with super difficult battles, but other than that, this game is meant to be relaxing. It's not like its name is Dota2 or Starcraft or something.

The computer (defending town) here is in idiot in fairness. He blocked the entrance to the castle with a unit which could have flown over it. If i had 30k dread knights no way are you winning.

No, I'm just an ordinary player. Somewhat experienced in these custom maps, but not an expert :)
The high number of creatures you see here is because these maps are special, you'll just get that many troops anyways (as long as you play the map carefully until the end)
I can create a map when u get 100000000 t7 units on day 1.

What a shame. With 30 legions of Kwisinjats along proper enemy could possibly with this. Also that humble suffering from strike that was resolved in HOMM4 to exchange of blows simultaneously (unless spell/skill of first strike in place) was always annoying.
Enemy army looks organic, however tore apart thin paper.

Yeah, the map is among the well-known ones. There are some harder battles, the final battle here is actually the easier.
