@9:32 is my favorite part. "How did you learn this?", "Uhh, trial and error?". Cut to multiple explosions. Love it. I am not at a l diesel guy but I am a fan of y'all now.
The perfect storm mike Finnegan and PDD hope to see more in the future
I seriously don’t understand how you guys don’t have more subscribers I absolutely love your videos, did the double your HP on my 24valve, and getting ready in a couple weeks to order some stuff for my 12 valve! I hope this collab boosts you guys numbers!!
real goodness doesnt gain subscribers. Buyin stuff, letting it build by someone for money and then stupidly destroying it, gains subscribers, sadly.
@@patriotdiz4846 unfortunately your absolutely right!
I really appreciate the support. I really hope these colabs give us some more exposure and maybe opens a few more doors!
Todd
@@pddofficial I hope so too I really enjoy the content! Makes me really want to start filming my trucks and projects, maybe someday I’ll order some parts from y’all to do a 4BT swap into my Cherokee or something lol I’m still in disbelief the numbers y’all were able to get out of a 4BT engine!
@@pddofficial youtube wise this can definitely be a huge channel. Good work, outrageous numbers, fun at work and fire.
I'm hooked on thier (PDD) channel now. I have been watching years of videos to get my knowledge on!!
Sweet!
I have a swapped crew cab square that I ran last summer with a tired 12valve .
I decided to start all new . Bored .02 , pistons , colt cam , 4,000 governor springs, your new PowerJet injectors .
This video has me even more excited to get this thing done .
Next year maybe your ported head and compounds .
Keep
Up
The good work and great content !
Sounds like a sweet ride! Send us some pics!
2:45 Kind of how I blew a head stud racing with a pallet of marble. Its crazy how weight can help make you faster.
I have been a subscriber to power driven diesel RUclips channel for a long time
That's wild the cross hatching is still perfect looking. Proves how much engine wear happens from cold/dry start up
Engine wear from cold / dry start up? Most engine wear I see is from overheating, dirt / dust ingested, and poor oil quality.
@@preachers4135 yeah over time but I think repeated thermal expansion is the bigger factor least that’s what I hear
I have been waiting for this episode!
Great video after great video 🤝
Glad you enjoyed it!
My two favorite channels.
I saw this on mikes about a month ago this why I Subscribe
Todd's such a bad ass! I love these guys.. and their oil lol... seriously, if you haven't tried it you gotta! Better than rhymes with hamsoil haha.. Wish I still had my 12 valve but had to upgrade to a 4th gen 🙄
There oil is the absolute best I have found they are on my destination this year I want to meet Todd and the guys/gals planning my vacation to these guys place I'm going to take some beef up to them just because. I will be driving my 04 quad cab Cummins see what it'll do on the dyno. See yea guys soon 👍
Finnegan sent me over...get some!!
Man that exhaust note is perfect. Love it
Watching this because of Finnigan. And thing I've seen people in town with shirts, hats and stickers of power drivin..... and holy shit you guys are in ceader 😂😂😂😂😂. Nice! Didn't think anything cool was in this town other then trucken.
Lol come by and see us sometime!
This was fun !!!!!
Yes it was!
YES!!! I WOULD LOVE TO SEE A STROKER MOTOR DIESEL BUILT!!!! THAT IS SO BADASS!!! PLEASE KEEP ME UPDATED!!!!! SOMETHING TO CONSIDER!!!! GREAT VIDEO AND EDUCATION. THANKS FOR SHARING!!!!
We need to make that subscription number happen !
Agreed!
Very cool video and awesome work guys 💪🏻👍🏻
Thank you! 👍
Would love to see you guys do a Detroit Diesel two stroke build for a squarebody. Probably somethin loke a 4-71 or a 6v-53
Been watching PDD since they did the original build. They are some awesome guys.
Thank You!!
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Impressive!
I’m already subscribed otherwise I would hit that button again. I gave it a like though and gave a comment.🤙
That truck sounds Soooo GOOD !!!
really really cool mate
Loved this episode I own 1994 dodge cummins 5.9 also roadkill fan
Love watching pdd content. I just installed afc live a couple months ago and a 67/67 he351 on my 12 valve . But now I have a sticky plunger in the injection pump
That's no good :(
we need this 6.1 stroker so get these boys to 400k
The white saleen mustang! a unicorn 💝
It was a beautiful car!
Ive been subscribed since trials and triumphs, great stuff 👌
Thank you for the continued support!
Gale Banks. Never heard of her.
I laughed!
Y’all better subscribe
Thank you!
Cant wait to see the custom engine put it, subscribed and patiently waiting
Thanks for the support!
Awesome
I just got my first diesel, now to fix it.
I LOVE IT!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! TOTALLY AWSOME UPGRADES!!!!
love a cleaner diesel !!!
Luv the smoke stain engine too. Fyi... Finnegan can cook a grilled cheese but not without burning it up. Hehehe
Let's be real. Who hasn't already been powerdriven subscribed since the Godfather made its RUclips debut
Lol! Thanks Cherokee! Wait until you see it's rebirth!
Actually on the subscriber issue, I think the AI algorithms have a lot Todo with it. Cause I've sibribed for lots of things and never get them the AI decides on its own I'm no longer interested and deletes it so there's some that has to do with settings and unfortunately censorship. Plays another roll. In what we are talking about enjoy all stay strong.
@@pddofficial Can't wait for the rebirth, wish you well with it, Always rooting for you guys.
I've followed them since before the channel was a thing and they just posted on compd
I have not, but after watching this, I'll be subscribing, I want to see the stuff they are building.
Very cool
Love the torque the Cummins cranks out. Cats do better but up till recently cat was out of on road engines
As always thanks for this video David
Gale Banks taught them everything they know duh
Absolutely :)
"that fan is not powerful!"
😂
Nah bro, they learned everything from the guys at Bullydog. 😂👀
@@dadadadankable who cares you sit down drink your bud light
Y'all earned my sub from this video. Appreciate the content - I want to see that 6.1 in Finn's truck
Thanks for the support!
Subbed for Mike
I know 0 about diesel besides glo plugs. This video has sparked my interest in learning some new stuff..
Just remember not all diesels use glow plugs. You won’t find any on a Cummins.
@@97F350Cummins See,.you are proving my statement of not knowing anything about diesel!!
This is how you learn!
I just subscribed thanks to Mike
Thank you!
I came here after watching Finnigan video and if he suggests to I'm on to it so godless and hope he gets his built engine
Thanks for the support!!
I'm here for the triple turbos
I would be a new sub because of Finn but I already subbed your channel lol
Been subbed for a while now. Badass diesel content
Thank you so much!
400k come on ppl
i'll buy the old motor after you build the 6.1 stroker
I would love to get a whole driveline from you guys but unfortunately kids and house are gobbling up all my money lol
Been there, I feel ya
@@pddofficial my 01 24v is currently in the shed completely torn apart getting covered in dust waiting for its turn. Sad part is i have a ton of stuff already bought i just don't have the time.
Just got my 1st 24v in an 04 HD 2500. Dude wrecked the front end and parked it (work truck) it's in the body shop now getting fixed. Can't wait!!
Just subscribed because of finagans garage. Hopefully you'll build that stroker motor for him.
This isn't the only reason but i just subscribed
Thanks for your support!
@@pddofficial thank you for all your knowledge and parts
Love that swap as well thinking about doing a motorhome swap a 85 HRchev 454 and turbo 400 to a 2r valve Cummins and 48 trans.
Cool, but still a bit smokey on the power pull. I'd recommend a more modern common rail injected engine that can have a wife friendly smoke free setting as well as a tow, performance and race setting all at the turn of a knob.
Already subbed
Awesome work, more power faster cleaner and more efficient so you can do more miles with more smiles😂
Couldn't of worded it any better!
Hey I just sold one just like that car or close a 63 Impala rebuilt 327. Two Barrell yea. 👍
Yessss but…. Hear me out. Put it in the enclosed square body ramp truck
Will talked about the injectors but never said what size they were. Also how much timing?
They are our stage 2 power jets as they are not a sized style of nozzle
Honestly I'm kinda surprised there aren't actual stacks on this thing yet.
Pull the motor out of the roadkill ramp truck and put it in the speed and marine box truck when the 6.1 cummins goes in 🤔
Wish you guys were still in Georgia and could swing through and help Cummins swap my 05 Excursion. I’ve got the DCS conversion kit ready to go. Just need y’all’s help to rebuild the 04 Common rail I’ve got for it with your 6.1 stroker kit and twin turbos.
That will be a sick ride!
@@pddofficial for sure. Just need your PDD magic. Need a full 6.1 build giveaway so I can just ship it to you and ya’ll can work your magic. Easy swap. Everything will bolt right in. (Need a stage 3 rebuild on my 5R100 slush box too…). Hope I get it done before the big C takes me out.
Remember when Cummins Diesel won INDY 500 ? Not CLICKBAIT
I miss my 12 valve so much only if my dad won’t have blew it up and first gens are so pricey rn 😢
Why a hot retorque just curious I've heard many times they do it but always pros and cons to all things and even different opinions
To press the installed orings into the head gaskets fire rings
Depends on the stud manufacturer and the lube they call for. On arp studs with their lube, we always do a hot re- torque.
But I'm already subscribed! LOL
Subbed. Thought i was already
Thanks for the support!
👍💪
They was sandbagging on the 567
not cummins related but if a customer had a bosch inline pump of another design could you balance it and verify cc/1k-rev?
(for reference, mercedes 3.0L I-6 mech pump)
The biggest problem with random pumps is whether or not the drive shaft taper is the same size and shape as the P7100 so the coupler could be used. Pump drive couplers are expensive to buy from Bosch and/or one-off make in them machine shop. So unless there is a market for building/balancing that specific model of pump, you'd be better off sending it Bosch specific pump shop that works on everything. Diesel Pump UK seems to really like that Mercedes platform... but the shipping could get expensive in a hurry!
Either I dreampt this happened last weak or I can see into the future
just came to sub and comment.
Thanks welcome.
Gear swap as well 456 to one likely but low for deisel and 25k. In weight
The ramp truck has a modern AAM rear end out of a Duramax powered donor truck with either 3.42 or 3.73 ratio, the stock 4.11+ ratio Chevy Dana 70 blew up a few months after the Cummins swap.
I need to win the lottery to make my 4bt AWD subaru a reality now.
Gonna call it the "Vomit Comet"
Sounds like a cool project, first step we'd take before starting that project is researching the maximum torque input the Subie drivetrain will handle.
Why SAC? I'd think VCO meets all the criteria for his application and use.
Subbed.
Thanks for the support!
love it
If Mike drives this awhile and goes up to a stroker 6.1 🤯..............he'll have to full manual valve body too! C'mon people we gotta get this guy into the poor decisions folder of diesel performance!!!
We couldn't agree more:)
Build the stroker 🤌
That is exactly what we are hoping for!!!
Ill drive the hour too pdd dhop and help if it happens... meet couple of my favorite youtubers im in... lol
Is that guy the American version of Al from the skid factory?
Subscribing so I can watch Mike yeet pistons into the atmosphere😅❤
Bucket list item for sure!
Cummins power how much all of it 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪👍🏴☠️👍🏴☠️🤘💯😎🇬🇧😎🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
I want a cummins in my 90 squarebody suburban so bad
Asking to the pro, can i make a 12 valve quiet?
You can make a 12v quieter, with reduced timing, but it will also reduce power and efficiency which are negatives.
what cummings r we working with ????
12 valve.
If I could subscribe again, I would.
Yes officer it’s stock…
....in Mexico...allegedly...
We all know Mike would never break a speed limit or traffic law unless it was a closed course or rented street!
@@pddofficial uh huh...surely you speak the truth (wink wink)...
Did that thing seriously fire up on the first try???
There was some off-camera cranking with the lines cracked loose, once it had fuel, we tightened up the lines and turned the cameras back on, so yes it fired right up, but you didn't get to see the 15 seconds of cranking with loose lines to prime the system.
@@pddofficial you guys are doing awesome stuff!
I'm an offshore fisherman for me if you were gonna do a diesel swap I would have recommend Volvo Are cat they are the most reliable diesels on the water and probably the most powerful Commons is overpriced I have a bunch of issues in they just let you down
boost is so 70's its all about air density ( always was)
12v swap the 38ft box truck ramp truck!!!!!!!!!!!!
That thing needs a diesel in a bad way!
Is there any of us that weren't already subed?!
