I have a pair of the Harbinger MLS1000s, and a single MLS900 system. The MLS900 system is fine for ceremony or cocktail hour. The MLS1000s really stand out for parties and weddings though! The 10" subs in this system is amazing for a 10" and exceeded my expectations. I heard the S12 at the Guitar Center last year, and it is impressive for the price, and size that it is.
If I didn't already have a pair of the Mackie Thump Gos, I might have gone with the MLS systems and just added a Jackery or equivalent to make it portable.
I have 2 subs and 2 tops everything is Harbinger. Talk about a great sound. Whoever disses this speaker is just a snobbish person. I've heard various name brands such as QSC EV Mackie and others. Believe me those Harbinger 12s are really really good. I plan on buying 2 more
Hey logistical Styles, I wonder how the RT25 and VS12 would sound paired together. I am very curious. You can get an RT25 right now for $69 at Guitar Center.
I am just about to order a VS12 and I am in the same situation as you were. I have an S12 and yes the specs look the same except if you look at the manual of both near the end, the S12 lists the amp and speaker at 4 Ohm while the VS12 list them at 8 Ohms. I would be surprised Harbinger would have moved to a 8 Ohm amp/speaker, which my limited understanding would result in a more expensive setup except if there were reliability issues with the S12 setup. Maybe this is the reason for the price hike? I wrote to Harbinger customer support asking about this reported difference. I have had my S12 for a couple of years and don't use it often. It has been a good performer for small bar/outdoor shows.
I didn't notice that difference. I'll have to take another look at the manual. I've had great experiences with both speakers while DJing small events. You won't be disappointed with the VS12.
Hey bud~ nice review! I see that you have two of these subs, do you think just one of these is enough for outdoor gigs? I already have 2 JBL EON612's for my speakers, and just want to add a sub.
I watched this whole video just to hear if you thought they actually sounded any different from one another and nothing…. 😂 Specs don’t mean anything as you have found.
Thnx for the info, great video, and nice shirt, have that same shirt 😆

I agree. These are great subs. I'll be using them this weekend at a small wedding reception with the Mackie Thump Gos

That might be an interesting combo. My Mackie Thump Go has an 8” woofer and it sounds great with the VS12.

@@logisticalstyles Thanks. I did order a VS12.

I've done some events with just one sub but I really like having two.
😅😊😊
What size battery pack are you using to power these for the 3 and half hours you mentioned?
It's discontinued but this is the one I use. amzn.to/4eOfAcy
are the simons for drums only? can you use it for dj.
@@StuartRauol you can use them to DJ with. They are the same exact sub.
