For Helmet to Helmet contact. Apparently you cannot run into another player who is the same height as you because your facemasks play patty cake. Both of their heads were up so there is really not much that could have been done to avoid it.
I don't know why we continue to have old men with old eyes calling every shot.? When the eye in the sky sees it all and reveals all. We need to stop staying traditional to the 1930 ways.😂
It is not only the bad calls but the situation, such as it being 3rd and long; that makes many of these calls dubious! Not to mention the team the call favours! 🏈
The NFL must be encouraging the refs to make horrible calls every week. That is the only explanation. When the refs go over the games each week for review, one would think that they would be getting better at making calls on the field, but there is absolutely no improvement at all.
The first one was delay of game because the defender thought Jalen fumbled, so he grabbed the ball which didn’t allow the eagles to spike the ball. It’s like when the defender won’t let the offensive player get up to spike the ball. I don’t really see how it’s a bad call
NFL doesn't take kindly to their officiating crew being questioned. They should watch these clips and readjust that attitude. A lot of hokey shiet going down one of thems got to be making a side income.
I'm a Ravens fan and that was intentional grounding 😂 Jackson was trying to play it off like it slipped out of his hands, but it was intentional. We still got the W anyway
Of course it was. He was getting sacked in the endzone anyway, so I dont see why people are trying to blame the ref. Take the ref out of it, and hes still getting sacked for a safety. Why he ran backwards 20 yards into the endzone is beyond me. Of course he doesnt want to take a sack, but throwing it away is a lot easier than running to the other endzone and taking the sack anyway. He does some incredibly dumb stuff sometimes. Everyone calling him the MVP are crazy. Yall are the best team in the league this year, because your defense is so damn good. Lamar isnt the one winning games for you, that defense is legit.
@@carllennen3520 Every QB does dumb stuff, there's clips of Mahomes running backwards 20 yards and taking a sack or throwing it away. Imo with the new offense installed Lamar has been in more control with changes at the line and the emergence of the back up tight end has helped him with Andrews being gone. The offense is much more of a threat to score this year than the last two. I think regular season MVP is the most pointless award in any sport though. What matters more is who is hotter in the next few month. Him or the guy he replaced.
I may be on the wrong side here, but that first clip I instantly thought it was a delay from the giants. You can’t just hold the QB down like that, even though Jalen should’ve run out of bounds. He still was wrapped around him, and stayed on for a few extra seconds when he probably shouldn’t have. I could be wrong though, just instantly rang out to me when watching live.
Not saying the refs are good and cool but the refs rarely get to the replay while Gene does, that's why he can make the call plus the refs are really old. NFL just needs to find away to help the refs out like a sky judge and they call the penalties since they see it from above and have replay to make the correct call
Holding and pass interference on nearly every single play... The game has become completely unmanageable and the refs have zero consistency. The NFL is becoming so soft.
There used to be a stat called “QB knockdowns.” It was a measure of how the QB was being pressured. Like hurry ups or out of the pocket. But now those knockdowns are roughing calls. What the heck is going on?
I think more things need to be reviewed since the refs have trouble seeing things at full speed. I think most people can agree we are tired of watching instigators and floppers rewarded for starting things and acting. Maybe it is time to review personal fouls. There is a an enormous double standard on offense and defense. Offensive players lower their heads or fall to create helmet contact all the time with no call but the defense is expected to always avoid this contact. In addition the bar is too high for changing a call. I had no doubt live and on replay that Bobo caught the ball in the Seahawks game. His hands were under the ball with control. Did the refs forget that the ball can touch the ground if you have control? Another example of a stands call that should have been overturned was the fumble in the Patriots vs Broncos game where the Broncos player recovered the fumble but a Patriots player took the ball away after the recovery.
Soon, the NFL will have to change the rules as to what roughing the passer is because right now, even a two hand touch is called roughing the passer, so we can't use that, maybe flag football?
If they are going to penalize defenders for hitting a QB on the sideline but inbounds, then when a QB heads for the sideline then cuts back in...should be down on the spot, and penalty for unsportsman like conduct.
All of the refs should be required to watch videos like this and pass a test afterwards. :)
You KNOW there’s a problem when flopping becomes a weekly occurrence

The first clip is clearly a flag because he can’t hold onto the ball after the play is blown dead and there’s no timeouts for the offense
FINE REFS FOR EVERY BOTCHED CALL. SO THEY CAN STOP THE BULLSHIT
Fact I'm tired of them getting away with it
Meh, make them have to do press conferences at the end of the games like the players and coaches.
Genuinely curious, how tf do you get called for roughing the passer when the ball is still in the QBs hand while he’s still in the pocket? 3:53
"We're not gonna take contact out of a contact sport" NFL has been trying to do that for a long time.
Ty
These terrible calls are the reason why the NFL can’t sell seats anymore.
I've been saying this for years now. The Refs should be charged their first timeout..
4:35 I sure do love an easy lip read
lol so easy to read. "hey! what the f*** is that!"
the amount of terrible calls going for the eagles in all of these videos is wild
NFL doesn't take kindly to their officiating crew being questioned. They should watch these clips and readjust that attitude. A lot of hokey shiet going down one of thems got to be making a side income.
That delay of game was legit though.
I’ve been saying it all year. If you’re gunna touch the QB… just destroy him. It’s gunna get called anyway.
Why do they even have rules analysts if they don’t listen to them?
How they not call pi on the steelers when they almost pushed the receiver out of bounds before the balls even thrown?
Every week a 15-30 minute video of horrible calls. Says a lot about the state of refereeing and roughing the passer calls in today's game.
The NFL is now the carnival or clown act in sports in today’s day!
Gene Steratore needs to unretire, he's making much better calls than the refs on the field
Not saying the refs are good and cool but the refs rarely get to the replay while Gene does, that's why he can make the call plus the refs are really old. NFL just needs to find away to help the refs out like a sky judge and they call the penalties since they see it from above and have replay to make the correct call
14:42 the face of a man who may or may not have placed a bet thag day
Im very confused as to what bad call the first clip was supposed to show.
The lions cowboys one is making this video this week
As an eagles fan Jalen Carter clearly was offsides 😂
Roughing and PIs need to be reviewable. It’s getting bad.
Goodell and his dirty dealing with gambling has destroyed the game.
I have been watching nfl for 50 years, i dont know what a catch is anymore.
I feel bad for the Giants
Holding and pass interference on nearly every single play... The game has become completely unmanageable and the refs have zero consistency. The NFL is becoming so soft.
There used to be a stat called “QB knockdowns.” It was a measure of how the QB was being pressured. Like hurry ups or out of the pocket.
But now those knockdowns are roughing calls. What the heck is going on?
Another week and another several calls go Philly’s way.
It's sad you can make an entire qtr worth of bad calls from one week?? 😢😢😢😢
Bad officiating is ruining this game. Refs can change the game in any which way their benefactors choose.
If I keep seeing flops on a weekly basis I'm going to start calling this sport by a more accurate name like "soccer".
I am amazed how often they get the call wrong even after review.
Next theyll be calling penalties on tds because they make the other team feel bad 😢
That ref was trying to help out San Francisco to win the game when he fall down
There should be an independent review of officials at the end of every season. If they get less than 95% of calls right they should be let go.
Terry Bradshaw had it right years back, dress the QBs in dresses!
THE NFL NEEDS A TMO!!!!
i understand the frustration but why does robert saleh never look someone in the eye when he’s yelling at them, looks very cowardice tbh
Can't wait for the Lions Dallas game to be all the clips for week 17
Looks like it's not even worth watching football anymore with the rest calling all these unnecessary penalties
