Let's get Casey to 100K! I couldn't tell from the video if that mud spring mound was in a low basin. Sometimes hot or mineral springs can also produce gases that will sink to the ground and push out the normal air, thus suffocating any critter that spends too much time there.
That’s really interesting. It smelled a little bit sulphuric and it was in a little bit of a depression. Man 100K subs would be a dream come true for me! Cheers.
Some of my fondest memories are of camping trips and retreats with the youth group at my church. Your videos take me back to that time and I thank you.
When I'm too lazy to go camping I watch your camping videos and feel like I'm there. I can feel and smell the campfire and taste that food. I can feel the crunch of gravel under my boots. Keep those videos coming!
My pop lives in southern Oregon. I send him links to your videos frequently. He loves the outdoors but his memory keeps him close to home these days. Love your content!

LIKE JUST DRIVING AROUND EXPLORING THE AREAS ALL AROUND WATCHING 👀 OUT FOR ALL KINDS OF WILDLIFE . BE SAFE ! HAVE FUN ! GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS ON 🙏 YOUR JOURNEYS ! THANK YOU 🙏 ENJOYED !
Casey I love how you can see so much interesting stuff in what looks like nothing. Watching your videos helped me learn a new way to appreciate solitude. 👍🏼
Have you ever thought of ' Overland cooking with C-works" as another content series? My favorite part of your vids is when the firewood gets collected and you prep for dinner then cook. I doubt I am the only one that would like 8-10 min short vid of you cooking in the wild. Thanks, Jason.
I would definitely be open to doing that if folks are interested. I feel like I’m a pretty unrefined camp cook but I’m happy to break out some cooking videos if people enjoy that part. I have fun doing it. Cheers!
Might be fun to collect a sample of that water, or the residue surrounding it, and send it to a lab for analysis. Find out what might have killed the animals. You have a way of making us feel we are out there with you.
Man I love how simple and effective the soft topper camping set up is! this is what i think im going to do with my next vehicle. crew cab truck with long bed, soft topper. maybe a metal frame rack over the stop topper as well.
Always an adventure. 47 minutes gone by in a flash. This is why I love desert exploring. You never know what you will find. And usually, its not something you were looking for in the first place.
@@CoyoteWorks01 My nephews gave me the Camp Chef Mountaineer series stove a year ago for XMas. The big polished aluminum one. Bless their little hearts... 2nd time I used it, it caught on fire. Was staying in a National Heritage cabin in Death Valley at the time. Luckily I didn't burn it down. Camp Chef did recall this model stove and sent replacement parts. But not a good taste to linger in your mouth.
Thank you so much for sharing! I really enjoy your videos as they remind me so much of the time back in South Africa when I would also just drive my little Jeep off into the wild blue yonder!! Thanx again.
Not making this up, just as Casey is cooking his Ramen soup, my Mother in law serves me one as well. This just made watching this video more interesting, like being there myself.
while I haven't been too keen on the "talking head" episodes, I do enjoy the ones where you are on the road... I understand that covid has affected all of us and you need to do what you need to create content... I just love to watch camping videos ... keep up the good work, Casey!
Man the camping and trip videos are my favorite. But I’ve enjoyed doing the live videos too in a different way. I look at them more like my time to just get to hang out with some of the cool people that follow my channel. More of a get together. But of course my first love is always being out in the desert or backcountry! Cheers!
Another outstanding video Casey. Envy the freedom you have and the places you can explore. Kalifornia way too crowded. Look forward to to next. Take care and Cheers.
Man I think you will enjoy a bigger truck. I’ve sure been having fun with mine. I still love my Jeep set up too but for some trips I just really enjoy the truck. Cheers!
This truck camping is how u would do it, i dont have the money for jeeps and roof top tents. I wish u lived a lil closer to louisiana, i would like to camp out with ya!
Well Bro, Looks like your efforts are rewarding you with the large amount of subs you now have! You have defiantly earned them all. Enjoyed the cooking tip, but that Cilantro stuff could be sprinkled around that Alkaline water hole with the same results as the water on those who drink it, lol All the best my friend.
Very nice adventure. I totally identify with your type of camping set-up. I do not go for the new style of bringing your entire home kitchen with you and haveing it permanently mounted on the truck or dragged behind in a trailer. Too much weight to lug about and to me it's fun to set up and break down camp. All part of the experience. I think most of us can have camp fully packed up, including a tent, in 30 minutes. You just have to be organized.
Thank you. Yeah I feel the same. One of the things I’ve always enjoyed was setting up my camp. I just really enjoy that process of getting everything set up the way I like it in whatever camp spot I end up in. A lot of my camp set up is similar but it’s always a little bit different depending on the layout of the spot I’m in. Cheers!
HEY! good clear video! yes I thought looking through ur windshield a drone was following u, but it just was a crack in windshield.💁 next time when u get up from a good night sleep. Can we listen to the birds singing? Oh make sure u close ur door and lock ur truck up when heading out for ur next walk. U just don't know who is out there.
Hey Casey! Good to see you getting out in the Vernlander and enjoying the outdoors sharing your findings with us. It's interesting stuff, and wild, to think of what happened hundreds of years ago on the same land we're walking on now. Ramen is awesome for camping, and your meal was packed full of goodness bringing chicken and other ingredients from home to fix it up right. Hope to see you out again soon... you have lots of choices between the truck, Jeep, or building a new shelter this summer. Take care my friend! Pete - KI7LIL
Hi Pete. Good to hear from you as always. Yea my friend I think about that all the time... that i”m walking or camping often times on the same ground someone else did 150 years or more before me. Cheers my friend. And I have my ham license now too. ^^^^^^^ for now. I’m applying for a vanity call sign so hopefully I’ll have it soon. Cheers!
Great video. Very cool history. Interesting about the camas. I'll have to finish the video when I get home tonight. We need to make a meet up happen soon man. I'm itching to get out.
Hey man, as always, great vid, I do wonder though...why always the cold coffee? My favorite part of the desert is the morning and the evening..but in the morning it's fresh hot coffee and the calm cool sunrises.
I know it’s strange but I really like my cold coffee. Something about that bitter bite of it that I just really enjoy. I do like a nice hot cup though if it’s really cold out. Cheers!
