Hello everyone, welcome to the first video of our channel. We are Katie and Nathan. We have recently started sailing and we love every minute of it.
Sailing in the bay, we experienced drastically different weather and tide in a 2 miles radius from pounding 20 knots in the slot where you can surely practice your skill to a much quieter 6 to 7 knots at the Ayala cove of angel island to have a nice lunch just minutes away.
In this channel, we’ll bring you along in our regular day sailing by featuring different destinations in the SF bay. I’ll also do a series of sailing skill videos by focusing on how to do everything single handed. I am new to this, they are not necessarily the best ways to do it, just how I do it trying to get more on the water practice. I learned a lot from my instructor and other hands-on videos and hope our videos can help others too.

Wifey and I bought a 30" Pearson. Spent the last year upgrading and repairing her. We sail out of Narragansett bay. It is a truly awesome thing to take part in. Fair winds and following seas my friends.

Fun video! I'm looking forward to more. Yes, sailing SF Bay is rarely boring, and it is indeed a great place to learn. Thanks, and happy sails.

Thanks! Indeed. Every time we sail the boat out, it is a fun experience, but never the same. This bay has many localized weather systems that make it like sailing in totally different parts of the world.

Moving to the Bay Area in February and planning on learning to sail. Do you have any recommendations on a sail school? Really loved the video, gave me an idea of what to expect. Thank you❤
