A saltwater wash down is invaluable, like so many other things! Up there with that rigid bimini/dodger. I think the washdown should be first, it will stop all that mud in the chain locker, and keep Lynne happy! She's earnt it with those meals... Beautiful videos and locations. You know the area, but I would be spending a week at each anchorage! We'll done to the boat owner who was dragging... he did the honourable thing by moving and saving a lot of stress. Great video.
Lihn, I'll never forget the first time I saw the San Mateo bridge which I was getting ready to drive across. I used to have a reoccurring nightmare as a kid that had me in a car going across a bridge that got so steep that the car would just fall backward! My first thought when I saw that bridge was; "That's the bridge from my dream?" It turned out to be a really neat experience and I'm not afraid of bridges as an adult and actually love driving across them. I'm glad, because we have a lot of them here in St. Louis. This is Tammie btw. Tim watched and hit the sac. So good to know you guys are out of the smoke and making progress in your travels! Hi to everyone!

One of his hundreds of stops, was China Camp. I know you are home schooling Ms. Emma. There are so many neat shows on these stops you've been doing. There is even a museum in a library down by Disneyland to Huell. There only short :35 to :45 minute shows. Good history lesson and quiet entertainment. There are probably 50 shows just about spots in the Bay area alone. Sure many are along your way. Either way, you are in the home ( The Bay Area) of both, UBER & LYFT.
Teal, wash down before hard top. It will be easier and quicker to install. I could see a waterproof electric plug in anchor locker, portable board with pump and switch sized to fit locker. Pull out ,plug in, drop garden hose into water, use spray hose to clean, wrap up and into locker after chain is in. Just a thought could be a foot switch for the pump.

I have sailed all over SF Bay Area. It has wonderful fishing for perch and Strippers. The SF Bay Area is filled with mud from the Gold Camps in the later 1800's. From the Sierras and through the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valleys. They used Placer Mining to high pressure hose away earth and run it through their gold slouch-boxes. The sediment from billions of cubic feet of mining sludge flooded the SF Bay Area with sediment making your anchor dig up tons of mud. A Court in the Late 1800's stopped Placer Mining throughout California or else the Bay area would have been mud flats.
Hi all, I had a little temp fix for your muddy anchor issue...! We let the anchor down into the water once we are under way and that then washed the mud off, then you can bring it all the way up and make it fast...! Simple and no cost involved...
