    Stuck!🤦‍♂️I hope you made it to Alcatraz for a tour. Definitely, a must do. Plus, Berkley Campus is iconic. The eucalyptus trees are so cool. There is so much to do in San Fran. I hope you found time to enjoy yourself. 🌧

      Yap. Defiantly stuck lol It was pretty funny actually. We were safe just needed to wait a long time for the tide lol
      We did get around town and made it to Berkley Campus. It was so amazing there! So glad I got to check it out. You can check it out in next weeks video.
      I didn't get on the Tour of Alcatraz but I am going to take my kids down to San Fran and we will have that on our bucket list!
      I did find time to enjoy myself :) But I need to go back!

      @@idreamofdinghy The Alcatraz tour is pretty cool, if they still do it with the MP3 headphones like they did when I went with my daughters 6th grade trip. You can listen and tour at your own pace, because you can pause the audio and talk amongst yourselves. No need to follow a crowd and listen to a tour guide. There are people posted around to answer questions. It's worth it.

    Again a great humorous video oh yeah even CRAZYYYY!!!!!! Yea that weird how that Trimaran made it to that marina so so tight in and out. Maybe it's a permanent fixture there lol. San Fran's an awesome place actually that whole area is Oakland, San Jose, Berkley that whole area. Hopefully you got to see some of it. I use to drive team weekly to that area I did it for a couple years from Ontario Canada to California it was fun yet tiring. Have a great time and when you go see Alcatraz it wouldn't surprise me Corey locks you up for a night. Corey hint hint.
    Again enjoy your video's even though I know you have made it to Parlay.

      We did get to see some of it. You will see shortly lol we even went to Berkeley university. It was so awesome around there :)
      Haha ya right! No mutiny allowed on Dinghy One Kenobi! Lol 😂 (hopefully lol)

    The Ft. Bragg to SF run can be brutal. Lots of unpredictable sneaker waves have sunk large boats along that section of coast. Noyo Harbor is pronounced "Noy-o" which rhymes with toy-o. Further south is Pt. Reyes which is pronounced "Pt. Rays" The SF Bay can also be really rough, it's why the Coast Guard considers it "near shore ocean waters".

    • @idreamofdinghy
      @idreamofdinghy  Год назад

      Yes sir and it was wild weather! The waves were massive around there! At one point we knew we were close to maximizing the capabilities of that boat. It was a blast lol I was considering taking the 55lbs dinghy off the roof because I felt like we might be top heavy! Lol
      I think that was probably one of the worst wave areas of the trip.

      @@idreamofdinghy I've surfed, salmon fished, spear fished, and dove for abalone all along that section of coast for 40 years and the best advice I could give is to never turn your back on the ocean and always expect the worst. She's a tricky one and doesn't give any quarter if you don't show her respect. She'd just as kill you as anything else along that coast.

    Hey! Thanks for the shout out and the correction! Its nice when creators read the comments. 😁🤘 Sorry you got stuck in the river. The gas prices didnt surprise me at all. The gas station that has had the highest price in the nation, twice, is about 5 miles south, in the town of Mendocino. 😂

      @@idreamofdinghy I'm really surprised someone didn't come out to help you. Mendocino county is normally a very community oriented area. I think the boating and fishing industry in the harbor has taken a serious hit. A lot less charters and there was some sort of Dungeness crab fishing moratorium for a few years. I haven't been down to the harbor in years, and it looks pretty run down compared to what I remember... The huge fat sea lions are still there though. 😂 Those A-holes have no fear of humans. One tried to bully is for our fish and crab catch when we were getting off a charter one day. 😂

    • @ripn929707
      @ripn929707 Год назад

      Oh, and I was wondering how it was getting out of the harbor? When we went out, the swells were so huge, it had the 45 foot fishing trawler bucking like bronco. It was a little bit terrifying. 🤪

    I'm in Fort Bragg and I recognized your location immediately.....Yea...you have to stay close to the wall to get to Dolphin Isle because it silts up every Year....Yea, there are boats in Dolphin Isle that have to wait for king tides to attempt that channel.....Yea The price gouging in CA is criminal...👈💯😎

      Oh right on, Fort Bragg! Yes we couldn't figure out how the boats would move in and out of the harbour. It was very very tight on the side of the channel. lol But it made for a fun day and actually was nice to have a little rest for a couple hours waiting for the tide.
      Thanks so much for watching!!

    • @idreamofdinghy
      @idreamofdinghy  3 месяца назад +2

      Thanks for watching!
      The boat is a 1995, Zodiac Hurricane 733 RIB. So it is 24 feet before the motors are attached. Probably 26 feet overall.
      We are currently rebuilding it with a hull extension/pod. We are expecting it to be around 28.75 feet when finished. Have you seen my latest boat build videos? They go out every Sat morning. You should check it out.

    I see the problem in the first five minutes. The propaganda against the right has gotten so bad in Commiefornia that even Starboard now means to go Left. The universal result is that you and I get grounded trying to buy gas. The Skunk Train from Ft Bragg to Willits is a fun adventure.

      HAHA starboard means go left!! lol I think it might have been our sharp listening skills that sent us up to the shallows haha.
      Listening skills or not. It was actually a blast getting stuck. Because we had no damage to the boat. Just felt stupid. haha.
      Thanks for watching @Dispiser25!!!!
