Yeah I felt the same. As I said I get the message RTD was trying to deliver but he didn’t deliver it very well and all the build up for nothing? It was such a let down, but who knows maybe “Season 2” will explore it more
I think they had originally planned to make her something more but thr actress that was his companion this season is likely not returning next season so they needed to wrap up that storyline quickly.
I feel the same. I remember the hype for Series 11 and I was quite excited as it looked interesting especially such a change from a 6-7 year formula. But it wasn’t worth it, then Series 12 & 13/Flux. It was all just so difficult, and I really hoped this new era and RTD’s return would bring some of the familiar feelings back. But sadly not… it’s a shame tbh
I want to say Boom we were led to believe the Doctor wouldn't be able to solve the problem by doing any of the usual things he does like talking his way out of it or using his sonic screwdriver but then he just talks his way out of it
After years of “I’ll sonic it to blah blah blah” it was a nice change. I appreciated them not relying on the sonic or the fast thinking we know The Doctor does. And I love how they shows how powerful words can be. I’d still say it’s the best of this “Season” :))
My assumption with thr bi generation is that when the 14th doctor eventually does pass on he'll become the fifteenth, but due to timy wimy stuff instead of regenerating and spawning his regeneration will travel back along his own timeline and spawn at the toy maker fight instead. Hopefully there will be a future episode that will address this.
Very concise and straightforward review/reaction to the season 👌 Gonna subscribe because I'm positive you'll see some massive growth as soon as you get that one video that manages to break into the algorithm (Unknowable as it may be). Keep up the hard work and don't let people tell you not to bother!
To be fair Ruby's mom turning out to be an ordinary person is a very doctor who style twist as everyone is important no matter how ordinary has always been a theme of the series. That said i agree it wasn't great. From what i understand, i could be wrong, but there's a high probability that the actress who plays Ruby won't be returning next season so it could have also been a last minute rewrite to close out the story.
It was such an awful line. The line itself was just so wrong, I get it was meant to be a joke but it didn’t land well. Definitely glad they didn’t repeat it
I thought the episodes were really good(minus the first episode of the babies talking.creeped me out). But as we got near the end I felt so empty. Like Hu… that’s not what I was expecting.
Definitely not what I expected this new “starting point” to be like. Space Babies was a terrible choice for an opener and overall the series was just messy, hopefully “Season 2” will be better :))
If the romance between The Doctor & River wasn’t done the way it was in the show, I wouldn’t have enjoyed it. The build up was what made it work unlike most which is over a few or just one episode. But I get that Doctor romances aren’t a fan for everyone, River’s my only exception:))
I really agree with the love archs never being good expect for river song and whenever i watch them they seemed so forced and just made for people to fan girl about
River’s was built up over many years and felt like it was a worthy romance between two people who meet in the wrong order. All the others has just been forced and don’t feel like it was done right
With the show? It’s my childhood show and even though it’s changed and it’s in a rough patch I know that the show will soon change and there’s no show like it. :))
I will always watch Doctor Who. It brings in new audiences and old audiences either stick around or lose interest and that’s okay. It’s got it’s rough patches but some people like them and some can’t stand them, I’m kind of in the middle. :))
I think the Disney Deal confused fans including me. Nobody fully knew what changes it meant and it does seem to be used a lot as a reason. I completely agree with you, RTD has always had issues and they have gotten worse and his attitude towards the show and solutions to these problems have changed and it shows. It’s a shame, I’ll always love the show but it’s been hard to be a fan for the past few years…
RTD hasn't had enough consequences for his shit writing. The crap he writes gets huge praise simply because it's geared towards the LGBT community. Queer as Folk, Sex Education, etc. They're hugely popular with a fraction of the population, so the media goes nuts with it. "This is what progress looks like!" His problem is that he thinks that success translates to an audience at large, and it just doesn't. He writes objective crap and the media eats it up "representation good" and don't recognize these are just stereotypes and tokens. Honestly, RTD is the vegan of gayness. He just can't shut up about it for five minutes and has to make it the point of everything. It's never "the audience hates the Doctor for being gay." The audience hates the writer for being absolutely insufferable about it and handling it so poorly.
I felt so disappointed when Rubys mum was revealed because i just expected so much more

After the absolute peak of Capaldi, everything Doctor Who post series 10 just hasnt appealed to me in the same way.

Wow! Thank you so much!!! I hope so but I love doing this anyway so I’m happy. What did you think of the “season”??? :))

You know that line in the Star Beast special I think about the stupid male presenting time lord was stupid but thankfully they didn't repeat that
It was such an awful line. The line itself was just so wrong, I get it was meant to be a joke but it didn’t land well. Definitely glad they didn’t repeat it
Bro said that the star beast was a "fun watch" 💀💀💀💀💀💀
Bro did say that yes

I found that the River Song was the only bad love story as it didn’t make sense and also River is very annoying
What didn't make sense?

Nope
Why do you bother?

People still watch this. 🤢🤢🤢

I think 'the Disney Deal' is just a feeble excuse for problems Russell T. Davies has ALWAYS had as a writer but have only gotten worse.
