      If you need animation you might need to start learning farther back in the process of how a 4 stroke engine works

    good video, but she talks far to fast to understand what is happening. I had to go back quite a few times to listen again

    Nothing about reversion. The exhaust stroke pushes the exhaust gasses past the intake valve then drawn in back through and mixed with fresh air and fuel giving the engine rough idle. But at hi RPM things happen so fast it works to move pwr up with no reversion.

      Good point. Very important for a Marine gasser.

    • @merobot.6275

      correct at low rpm/idle.

  • @smilsmff
    @smilsmff 5 месяцев назад

    Nice but the will make more power at higher rpm? well not if compression has become too low from intake staying open too long.

    How about a more detailed video and explanation on how cam lobe Centerline effects fuel mileage. Why is there not more attention paid to fuel mileage camshafts and how to obtain fuel mileage. Clearly NASCAR notices such detail. There's an abundance of information on how to make more power. I mean it's crazy when you have 10 different camshafts splitting the same hair of capturing added horsepower. Yet on the other end of the spectrum, no one's considering the economics of such. How about doing a video and being the first to address the subject?

    • @ScooterLee-ei1ep
      @ScooterLee-ei1ep 3 года назад

      You will get better mileage with your induction system. If you are running a carb get a qjet. If it’s all that important to you max fuel mileage can be had with an over drive trans, low lift and duration cam, high rise dual plane, correctly tuned Caen and ignition system. My strokes 305 gets 24 mpg with a qjet and 3.90 rear gear.

    • @Jonhobbs64
      @Jonhobbs64 2 года назад

      Most hot rodders aren't concerned with mileage! Car manufactures spend millions each year just to increase mileage by a fraction. Bottom line is you can't go below the minimum requirements that a engine needs just to run lol

    do yaw have any vids of doing a gt500 4 valve modular engine as far as phasing and degree process for comp cams?

    • @Compcams1976
      @Compcams1976  9 лет назад

      Mia Brown We don't have any videos that we have created specifically on a GT500, but there most likely are some around RUclips. Thanks for the idea though, we're always looking for new topics to cover!

    The commentary of this video should be done by an engineer, so that emphasis on important parts can be further explained and paced to allow understanding. It's obvious that this commentator wouldn't recognise a camshaft if even if she tripped over one

    The pace of this video makes it useless. The animation is a cartoon, also useless. Good intentions, but I guarantee 100% of the audience was lost by the 10th second.
