Most likely the airbag deploying would bring the repair cost up enough to reach the point of salvage. Insurance companies can’t install used air bags. Plus the curtain bag “damaged” the headliner so it would have needed replacement. I obviously didn’t replace it but I bet that alone was $1000. It’s just a numbers game. Nothing to do with it not being “repairable”.
I agree. But in the end it opens and shuts just as it should. I had my concerns also. If you haven’t already subscribed, please consider I’m looking for more subs. Thanks.
Interesting. Each state has there ways I guess. Wisconsin actually has 2 versions. 1 is straight salvage and they also have a “claim paid” title. Basically says the insurance paid a claim but it didn’t meet the requirements to actually salvage the vehicle. If you subscribed I do appreciate it. Thanks.
Havnt had an issue yet. I’ve done probably 50 of them. It seems all manufactures have an issue with something. I know there’s issues with them but they’ve been to me.

I buy cars from Copart here in OKC as a part time hustle. Love watching the real pros getting these back on the road.

@@Shouse-life I definitely subbed brother.
I would've thought pulling the hood from the front so hard would stretch or distort the hood hinges.

I don’t think folks mind owning a Salvage vehicle. I live in Arkansas and I fill out forms and when the title comes back then it’s a rebuilt title
