@10:43 the instruction manual picture is wrong. It shows 2546 (2.5, 4 and 6 mm^2) solar crimper dies, which is a type of open barrel connector, then a drawing of the 03C dies (correct for insulated terminals, then the wrong die number “2546” which should be 03C, then the terminal types for 03C.
In fact many of the actual pictures of the dies are not the right ones for the terminal shown. Anyone buying that needs to throw that sheet in the trash and check online for the proper crimper die for their terminals.
The tool itself looks pretty good. I just ordered some 2546 dies for my ratchet type crimper, hoping it will be strong enough for some copper open barrel ring terminals. But seeing how much force you needed with the heavy duty “bolt cutter” style crimper in your other video showing that crimper, which has a lot more leverage, I think ill need that 5a-100a terminal crimper tool.

@@Italjohn I finally got my 2546 dies in and tested it on a 10a terminal on AWG10 wire. It did a bad crimp because the tangs were too long for the bottom die to get in position. So i used some scissors and trimmed off about 2mm from each tang and it did pretty good.
It might work on the higher amp terminals but since they use thicker material i think it might not work well. But ill try a 20a terminal on AWG10 wire again.
I will put a link to picture of it in my next comment after this in case spam guard is on.
