I like how he barely mentions the A15 since it's just so far ahead it's not even worth rehashing how over-powered it is. On the middle Genshin test, it was 60 FPS consistently for 30 minutes and was excellent in power efficiency. That combination of top notch hardware with fine-tuned software optimized to perfection strikes again. Excellent channel, highly detailed video, and Geekerwan is already at 32K subscribers with only 6 public videos, a feat in of itself! Here's a sub!

Yes because it will be without the stupid X2 cores which only are there for benchmarks and in real usage they only overheat when being used in a phone.

This feels like AMD knocking the daylights out of conceited Intel all over again. Looks like Qualcomm is really going to need their acquisition of NUVIA and their custom core designs to save their own skin but that won't be anytime soon.

This has become my favorite channel on RUclips. This is the nerdy phone content I’ve been looking for for years. Also, I’m hoping some a was quality phones come out with the Dimensity. I’ll takes that all day I’ve the Snapdragon, regardless of slightly less GPU performance.
I'm impressed with the kirin 9000 by Hisilicon Imagine they managed to make this kind of chip a few years ago and yet it still belongs to one of the best chip in the market sadly they were blocked in the market if not I dunno the limit they can go
This is the only tech channel that is, by far, the most informative and detailed analysis of a tech product. Famous youtubers like MKBHD or mrwhotheboss are for the general public, while geekerwan is for serious tech-savvy people.

I never give up on mediatek because most of the phone's that I own runs on its chipset and I know that it will get better and better as time goes....I'm still a fan.
I love the current stagnation of mobile chipset power. It feels good to basically do anything on a 3 to 4 year old phone. We have come to a point where (if you're not a 100% power user) even 5-6 year old phones still serve well. Take a look at the iPhone 7/8 series or SD835+ phones with LineageOS. I hope the stagnation keeps on going another two years, as that would animate software developers to write faster and more efficient code.
It's like Jiren vs Goku comparision, Android 17 is tsmc and the OEM's would be Frieza showing partial support.Let's see how long will Mediatek's UI magic work.
Last August, I upgrade from a 3.5yr old SD820 phone to a Dimensity1200 phone, and I've been loving it thus far!! I wish MTK had upgraded to the G78 GPU as well alongwith the A78 CPU, but even if it's the older G77, it's still decently powerful & still better than everything in its price range! Only thing that's needed is that the OEM not screw up & actually optimise the software (HRR for example), but I can't expect much from Chinese OEMs, so yeah.
MediaTek phones are known for great price-to-performance ratios, but long-term software and security support is where they fall short. I hope the Dimensity 9000 and later will change that, because Qualcomm's offerings are becoming more expensive with each passing day, and non-Snapdragon phones still have poorer emulator support, and Qualcomm needs to have an Intel moment.

Dimensity 9000 is a great SoC from Mediatek, as much as it sounds weird to say that lol. But nhf against MTK for making low-mid end chips for years because they outdone themselves this time. And great work btw, i am so glad you are providing this kind of content - it is much needed. I would wish you test Exynos 2100 so that you can do a comparison to upcoming Exynos 2200 and the rest of the flagship SoC's. Thx and keep it up!
Mediatek doesn't release source code, so there will be less customisation and optimisation options. Having the best hardware doesn't mean anything if it can't run apps properly. My first two phones were mediatek. The second one was a decacore. After 18 months, no system updates and no custom ROM options. The few updates I did get, made the device worse, forcing me to rollback to the initial android version. I have been using a snapdragon 845 device for the past 4 years, and it's still performs as well, if not better than when I got it. I only had to replace the battery once during this period.

The power efficiency makes me optimistic for the Dimensity 8000, probably the sweet spot for most people

yeah my k40 gaming mediatek 1200...standby mode for 8 hour only 2% drop just like iphone...my rog 5 every hour drop 1%
